@trento728 If its not LC, its certainly not brake torquing because the engine wasnt under a load and I doubt that the stock converter lets it rev up to 2500rpm. And DCT 335i's have LC
@trento728 Relax your shit dog. I already addressed previously that I was incorrect in saying launch control, however me holding the revs for what, 5 seconds, won't do shit to MY transmission. Can't speak for any of you guys, but I have the SAT on the car, and can successfully and safely shoot off launches like this. Validated by techs at BMW. Plus successful less wheel-spin techniques were already discussed. Look around at the comments before you go trolling for trouble.
@skaterian117 Yep! Turn DSC completely off, mash the brake, and I mean MASH it unless you want to burn out, and then mash the gas. When you're ready, let off the brake and you're screeching your way to fast. I would say though, if you want the best possible launch, rev to only 2300-2500 rpms and mash the brake. Then simultaneously, lift off the brake and mash the gas and you should fly. If you do it correctly, you won't be spinning tires.
@skaterian117 Nah...I mean, I had a juicebox chip in it and that upped the power by 30-40 whp so maybe that might not have been smart, but other than that it is fine. These transmissions are overengineered and can handle much more than what the car offers. I also have the Sports Auto Transmission so that might allow more than the typical one.
I also don't see any checkered flags on the dash, so once again T67GS300, you fail. Go on any BMW forum see if you don't get the SAME EXACT answers I have told you repeatedly.
ABAHHAHAHAHAH this isn't launch control you twat, you are only brake torquing. Oh wow. REAL launch control is in the M5 which actually controls wheelspin. Nice try, hope your fuel pump doesnt give in like those N54s are famous for faggot
@T67GS300 Launch control is a feature reserved for SMG 2 and SMG 3, also MDCT and DCT in non m models like the 2011 335is and 135i. Any other non M car with steptronic, like this, have absolutely no launch control. Call it what you want, but it isn't legitimately the real deal. Keep talking fucker you have no proof. What you see here is brake torquing, any automatic can do that....
@supimanig Hmm so your saying to me that the E92/3 3 series and 5 series and doesnt have launch control? If so you really are a dumbass. watch?v=p7dE_3MwHTk is that brake torquing? You should at least know what your talking about before yapping. ALL E92/3's HAVE LAUNCH CONTROL. If you think im telling you gibberish google your damn self.
@T67GS300 Read before responding you prick. That was a dual clutch 335i, like I mentioned in my post, but idiots like you don't bother to read. Anyways, the STEPTRONIC tranny, which is what the 5 series has, doesnt have launch control. The only thing you did was make yourself look like an illiterate cunt. Also, not all E92/E93s have launch control because not all are equipped with DCT, the dual clutch tranny. I feel like I'm talking to a wall here, I'm just repeating myself.
@supimanig I am not going to continue to fuel this argument, thats certainly not brake torquing. When I said all E92/3's I meant all of them with the DCT.
@T67GS300 When you said :"ALL E92/3's HAVE LAUNCH CONTROL" I don't see any implications of you saying that you meant DCT. So just admit fault. Second, the video you posted isn't brake torquing, and I never said it was. It was launch control on a DCT 335i. This 535i isn't DCT, they don't come in DCT, and will not in the foreseeable future. Therefore, the only logical name for this video should be brake-torque launch
@supimanig actually bud, I was aware this wasn't launch control after posting the vid, but didn't feel like making another video. There is no need to start arguments on the video lol. Especially your first response to me. Another thing, you should do a little research. I actually have the SAT on this car and not the steptronic. If you don't know what that is, it's the Sports Auto Tranny that you get if you order sports package with paddle shifters. It is a bit faster than steptronic.
@adidasboi33 I never doubted that there was sports package w/ the paddles and the leather clad shifter. I am already aware of the existence of such an option. My whole point was to correct T67GS300 by informing him on the facts. 535i is the most well rounded 5 imo, M5 drinks too much gas, so does the 550i. Enjoy the car dude, launch control or not, it is one hell of a machine.
NICE i have to try this with my 335i coupe! Never even knew you had to hold the DSC down for 3 seconds! NICE VID MAN! CHECK OUT MY 335I ON MY CHANNEL!
@ericbam1227 fsho man fsho. Be careful though...a 35i car without DSC active is an untamed beast and can slip pretty easily (which can be a good thing if you are on a track, but not in a residential)...;)
@ericbam1227 yeah, hold it down for 3 seconds and you should see the triangle with the circle around it. It'll be completely off then. To turn it back on, simply press the button once more. and the triangle will go away on your dash
Just realized you did turn DSC off. NVM. I like putting it up to 2000-2500 because I love the sound of tires screaming. But trust me me bro you will get better times at around 1000-1500
I will try the 1000-1500 in soon and let you know. I was doing donuts and a couple launch controls and I need to now stop...cuz I don't want to bald my tires lol....but whenever I do it, I will let you know
I've gotte AMAZING launches off of 1500 RPM. No wheel spin and just amazingness.... :) I should make a vid sometime. and no my car's ecu isnt retuned. TURBOS BABY!
Yeah between 1000-1500RPM'S with DSC off is a must! . I put down a 4.9 0-60 on a 545i, and the cars specs say 5.4! I think that's pretty impressive. considering m5 is 4.6-4.8
That's not launch control... That's just called break torquing. Good job buddy. Try putting it at around 1500 RPM's you will get a better launch with less spin.
Oh to everyone here, yeah this is more brake torquing rather than launch control because it isn't a set program in the car.

How does this work on a f10 535i?
Hidezepickle 4 months ago
@Hidezepickle A button near the gear shifter. Hold it down for 3-4 seconds.
adidasboi33 4 months ago
@Hidezepickle it's the same on any 535. Find the traction control button and hold it down for 3-5 seconds.

how would it go for a '11 535?
bling200000000000000 7 months ago
@bling200000000000000 there should be a button next to your gear shifter. Hold it down for 3-4 seconds.
