  • people are so fucking sick to do this to such a beautiful breed. They have a NATURAL running walk. If i saw someone that had a walker and he was being sored I would kick their fat ass....people are so frickin' ignorant to do this to animals much less horse slaughter I am against both of these acts.

  • Wallkin on ranches claim to fame being a snitch. Bahahaha what a joke. I've rode "big lick" or padded horses my whole life and my horses have never been treated anything less than outstanding. Any kind of training done is no worse than two-a-days football coaches put me through . . . im sure you same people think thats mean to and doesn't build character. I'm almost positive you same ppl probably think everyone should get a blue since were all winners. bahahaha what a joke ignorance!!!

  • @blackhonda828 - you're ignorant. If his claim to fame is being a snitch, well must be someone has something to hide, or he wouldn't have anything to snitch about, now would he? Don't even liken this bullshit to football practice, these animals have no choice, YOU had a choice. Idiot.

  • People need to Stop doing this that's why their horse don't want to pick their feet up for them !!!!!!!!

  • Not to mention a large dose of ginger jelly shoved up the rectum right before entering the show ring, so they will carry their tails as high as physically possible because it burns so hot.

  • @nameofthepen - forgot to mention the drops in the eyes, like the kind the eye doctor uses to make your eyes relax and unfocus. They force the horses to constantly keep their ears up and forward, hoping to get some idea of where the f*ck they are going.

  • This is sick! This is awful! If I were to get my hands on the people who do that................. (Sorry kids, the rest of this comment is R rated!)

  • I Know Big licks are kinda kool to watch but you know it makes it Pothetic to know this horse is going thrue wore paine than anyone could ever know!! I mean what the Fuck??? this is Potthetic!!

  • Shouldn't we take the "How To" video off and just show examples of the results of the this totally cruel practice?????!!!!!! As Natetheskate99 says we have holocaust museums to remind us...true, but the museums are not detailing how to cause a holocaust, they are examples and reminders of the aftermath. STOP SORING/PADDING!!!

  • this is a bunch of bullshit! i dont think nuthing is wrong with training a horse 2 walk u got 2 crawl b4 u walk anyway

  • @franknitt2 A horse was never made to walk like this. This sport is disgusting.

  • @franknitt2

Well if this is how you feel, then maybe you need to have the same shit that is put on these horses put on you!!!! Some of these horses can no longer walk because of the soring methods. No there is nothing wrong with training a horse, but not like this. Would you put gasoline or mustard oil on your child to teach them how to walk!!

  • It's training them to Sore not walk. They already know how to walk.

  • this is fucking disgusting! why & how do people do this to horses? What, just so they can make a few dolars out of it. It's inhumane. Tenessee walking horses should be shown with their NATURAL gait, not all ppadded up & sored. IT"S GROSS

  • You would be surprised at the amount of people that are involved in this. The TWH grand championship show brings in about 30 million dollars a year to Shelbyville Tenn., so they say. Hundreds of people fill the stands to watch the Cruelest Horse Show on Earth. It continues because of money and the government has allowed it. Senator Mitch Mcconell from kentucky has caused more damage to the these poor horses than any other person in the nation. Read Bonnie Erb's article that exposes this.

  • these horse already have high stepping gates but they have notched it up even more which I think is not that pretty. There horses would look even better just doing their normal paces which are already high. There is such a thing as over doing it.

  • fuck you this better be a joke soreing is sick and miserable it's an inhumane and miserable practice that has to end.

  • Easy there akualtekefan;

How is that everyone else can see the irony of this DIY instruction and it's real hidden agenda that is AGAINST soring?

I feel that we are on the same team, but I am glad that you don't like what's being done...neither do I

    The Preacher

  • @Natetheskate99 so tell me, if you're against this, why don't you take the video off now? You're promoting it not exposing the cruelty of it. And now the following is NOT aimed at you...

For all you sick disgusting people out there who think there is nothing wrong with soring, think again. It's stupid, inhumane and half kills these beautiful creatures. End horse abuse

  • Good question Rainbow...

I have been asked that by quite of few Lickers...and my response is simple, in my thinking....because the problem has not been eradicated and even if it were, we need to keep this terrible thing out there for future generations to see and be reminded of in case it tries to start of again...

That's hwy there is a Holocust Meseum, War Memroials, archive videos....

I have had kids, do studies and reports from my website...I

    The Preacher

  • @rainbowwaffle16 Oh dear people... When they have the title "How to ...." they are not implying for you to go out and follow step-by-step instructions like some cooking recipe, but rather their aim is to educate others of this practice. By showing the details of soring, people become more aware. They are not instructing you how on how to sore a horse.

Did you even watch this video, read the description or click on the link? Pretty obvious that this video opposes soring, not promote cruelty!

  • Ew.

This makes me lose faith in humanity.

  • I hope the people who do this to horses somehow wake up one morning with both their feet enclosed in concrete boots and are then told to run up and down a football field for 30 minutes. Oh, and lets put some sand inside those concrete boots.

  • Oh, and don't forget the soring substance! Like the gasiline..and other junk..That will teach em'!

  • Yea, pour icky soring stuff on them. ot just 30 minutes.... make it a hour!!!

  • @EachBreath Concrete Boots? Lol... Their boots are a padding.. not concrete (:

  • to @vivienleigh1097 ; What's your IQ ? 50? Can't you recognize an analogy?

  • @EachBreath No my IQ it quite high... (: Actually... And Its padded.. It has no "Analogy" to Concrete.. its all just padded

  • @vivienleigh1097 You poor dear. I guess you don't know how to look up the word "analogy" in the dictionary. My entire post is a description of an experience that might be analogous to the horses' experience. There is obviously no literal correspondence of the individual elements. I am sure that the librarian in your school will show you how to use an dictionary if you just ask.

  • Om my gosh....I think that humans should have to have this done to them first. Go check out our "horses dancing barefoot" video. Get a grip people, this is evil.

  • Why? Why would you even put this on here??!!! Do u no how cruel and inhumane soreing is!

  • i agree with jessicadadrlingx.

and who says your horses are worth more than ours??? heck, my stable trains the horse at the top of the trail pleasure high point!!

  • Personally, I can't stand those high gates that look like a rocking horse gone rouge. Horses are supposed to be graceful, elegant. Even the draft breeds have that. Abuse or not, it is horrifyingly ugly to watch.

  • is there a reason why you had to post the same comment twice , and then delete one of them .. and i don't have to convince myself .. i know .. i have known since before i was a teenager ... since ive been in the industry , and im sorry i can afford horses that you cant , and im sorry my oldest horse has lived longer than any of your horses, and im very happy that come this show season ill have my 3 yr old filly to show that is PADDED !!! and then ill also have my country pleasure horse to show!

  • oh and not every video .. there are several videos that will never have my reply on them ..

  • oh .. and ps .. my 29 year old horse .. turns 30 this Feb , so after FEB 28 2009 .. my comments will say my 30 yr old twh !

  • i don't really think anybody on youtube needs to know your life story at all. i'm sorry but your immaturity indicates you are probably about 11. you know nothing of me to say you can afford horses I can't, you do not know how old they may be. Making stupid and pathetic assumptions like that is something i would expect from a pre-teen. why don't you go get a life? honestly your behaviour makes me cringe. i'd stop before you embarrass yourself even more than you already have.

  • waaaaa , , and my whole life story .. sorry .. not my whole life story , and preteen .. is people who cant comprehend that the MAJORITY OF TRAINERS DO NOT sore their horses .. and im glad you cringe .. cause i cringe when i read such stupid comments from someone .. and embarrass myself .. hunny its the internet .. sorry thats not possible

  • dat mustard

  • In fact nearly every arab in the circuit shows with pads on their feet, maybe not to the same extent, but still it doesn't harm them in the least bit.

  • All show circuits have bad and good trainers, not everyone does this to their horse. This was from 20 years ago. Although it may be going on now, not all TWH trainers are doing this to their horses. I have seen and met several old show horses that have been using pads in their days as a show horse and are now retired. They are fine, fit as a fiddle. Pads go on in more then just the TWH circuit. The Arab circuit uses pads on their horses too.

  • If it was REALLY all about the horse, you wouldn't have the government breathing down your neck all the time. They wouldn't be pulling them off trailers and out of stalls would they? AAEP wouldn't be writing recommendations, they wouldn't be having sore horse conferences. Like I said, watch the video and read your own rhetoric, it's the same damn thing they were saying then.

  • I don't have anyone breathing down my neck .. and neither do the great trainers that know how to train ... and well sorry for you been ive never in 25+ yrs been turned down at any shows .. so please take your ignorant comments and thoughts that everyone is the same and go find a brain ...

  • AMEN!

  • its funny .. ive read the study and nowhere did it say what you have stated in your comment .. but it did say this ..

  • Phase XI. Use of 2, 4 and 6 Ounce Chains The objectives of this study were to evaluate the use of 2, 4 and 6 ounce chains in Tennessee Walking Horses, without using any other chemical or mechanical technique to induce inflammation. Use of 2, 4 and 6 oz. chains did not cause any detectable pain, tissue damage. Thermographic and pressure evaluation did not change significantly.

  • Thus, it was concluded that the use of 2, 4 and 6 oz. chains for a duration of 2to 3 weeks did not produce any harmful effects to the horses' legs, with exception to some loss of hair from 6 oz. chains in the pastern areas.

  • ... long term damage .. is that why most padded horses show up into their 20's with no problems ..?? my 29 yr old twh is going going strong was was padded 15+ years before i turned him into a therapeutic horse for special needs children ... and even at 29 years old .. i can let the children show him

  • those chains were chains that were heavier than the 6 oz chains that are allowed ...

  • The Auburn study also showed that 2,4, and 6 ounce chains produced no adverse effects in the horses being studied. A 6 ounce chain is the legal weight of chain allowed in NHSC horse shows.

  • Just as a clear up. Chains around their feet DO NOT cause pain. It is more the fact that the chains are weighted enough to work with resistance. Think about being at the beach and you are in the water. You are at about high shin to knee level. You will notice that when you walk you have to pick your feet up high in order to progress. The chains act in the same way. They also help keep a trotting horse from pacing/racking or a racking horse in the rack if they have difficulty staying in it.

  • Personally I think the TWH is a beautiful breed and their NATURAL gait looks NORMAL and comfortable for both rider and horse. Unlike the show horses, whose owners use chemicals and enormous shoes to get the desired "big lick". Those types of horses end up having joint problems that can and probably will lead to a short and painful life. Unfortunately this will not stop as long as money is still being made. It makes me sick to see that ppl are torturing animals for profit. I agree with hershey.

  • wtf .. sorry for you but most padded horses show into their 20's with no problems .. i know because i have a 29 yr old twh who was padded for 15+ years .. and he has no problems along with several of the other older horses at my barn ... and not all trainers are shitty trainers and not all use soring agents .. and studies have proven the pads DO NOT hurt the horse .

  • I never said all trainers are shitty trainers. I said a agreed with hersheypony7126. It's not really the pads that tick me off it's the chemicals and soring mainly. Those do hurt the horse. I wouldn't like it if acid was being rubbed on my heels either.

  • thats just it .. this video is from the 80's and well alot has changed since then and there is less than 2% of those shitty trainers left , and us good trainers , owners , and breeders in the twh industry are working with the different associations to help rid our industry of those bad people ...

  • I'm glad to hear that. But then again isn't there cruel and bad trainers in every equestrian style? Racing, hunter/jumper, reining and every other one. The world isn't perfect so you can kind of expect each discipline to have it's flaws. (And by flaws I mean crappy trainers.)

  • yes that is true .. there are always crappy people in each industry .. but then you always have the great trainers that are truly amazing with and to their horses ...

  • twhs are some of the most beautiful horses out there! yes soring is horrible and i dont sgree with it(all of my horses are light shod) but dont even dare suggeststing to stop breedign twhs, they are perfect in every way!

  • maybe people should just stop breeding stupid ignorant people like you .. and then we wouldn't have rude ass people who don't know anything about a breed or their the way they are suppose to look ..

  • wow ... copy and paste .. lmao .. Ive never in 25 yrs seen a horse collapse in the ring .. and as i remember all shoes are held on by nails being pounded with a hammer into the hoof wall ....

  • well lets see i know i have never harmed my horses why because i can actually train .. i may not be winning wgc's but im still placing good in the classes .. and no its pretty much a fact that it is less than 2% of shitty trainers .. and i know what im into ive been in it for 25+ yrs so why dont you stfu since you are ignorant

  • Soring is disgusting and disgraceful

Anyone who supports the torture and abuse of animals like this deserves to be put away

  • fuck you who doesnt know a damn thing about us people who show twh's .. not everyone does that stupid shit - less than 2% even do that stupid shit .. and fyi alot has changed since the 80's

  • Go cry in a hole. anyone who does this to any animal is a HORRID ABUSIVE CHEATER!!! NO creature of god deserves to have this happen to them! You do this to a twh, you are doing it to a part of god. If its so okay, why is it banned at shows? Why did the national whatchamacallit get canceled becuase of too many people soring? Gating is supposed to be something natural and pretty, not something you have to FORCE an animal to do. I bet you dont even know why they do it. its supposed to hurt them

  • listen i show big lick horses and the usda is to strickt to stay around to get a ticket for bull shit my horse anit got!!!

  • FACT is it does damage the horse's tendons and ligaments have you ever seen a big shoe with half the horses hoof torn off in it I HAVE they should have banned all the trainers loading up at the celebration when the usda arrivedif they had nothing to hide they would not have loaded up their horses ,have you ever seen a horse twirling in his stall because of the leg pain from the chemicals covered in plastic wrap burning his legs -the time of ignorance needs to pass abuse should not be tolerated.

  • HA! so true.

  • im ASSuming you are drunk since you are posting crap that you have been googling off you computer since i know you have never owned or been around a padded horse ...

  • you're an idiot. I own a TWH, and have been around many of them, I KNOW it hurts them. one person owns a horse from a "big lick" stable, this horse cannot CANTER anymore because it's hocks are in such terrible condition from wearing pads and soring! the poor animal is only 5 years old. I KNOW jack shit about them, and this is totally man made terrible gait, and the Walker DOES NOT deserve it.

  • sorry the person you know falls into that shitty 2% of stupid useless owner/trainer...

  • yeah .. they care so much that they dont care .. they would be doing something to stop it if they did .. but they dont .. i guess you have never heard of bleeding horse horse out or any of those things have you .. which by the way isnt twh related ..

  • I think all soaring is abusive. They put weights on the horses feat. About 5 pounds. They use chemicals that heart. So the horse head goes so high. There heads go high because it hurts. Soaring is mean and abusive.

  • Well i know that a horse dose not stay sore than more than a few days we do have stuff that automattically takes the soreness out the pad that we use are just like walking in a wedged heel and the chains are just like wearind a braclet Plus we do have people at the show that make sure that a horse is not to sore! And why dosent some one talk about the amount of blood that quarter horse people take out of there horses before showing and the race horses useing steriods!!!!!!!!!!!

  • because people dont care about other breeds .. they only focus on the twh ..since you can use google to search about them .. And the worst part is half the stuff isnt true .

  • "not to[sic] sore"

...So it's okay to purposefully hurt your horse in order to make it look "pretty"? Good to know. Remind me to never let you around any horse -- or any other animal -- I own.

And the fact is, this video is not about quarter horses or racehorses. It's about TENNESSEE WALKING HORSES. Thus, the comments are going to be about the practices used on TENNESSEE WALKING HORSES, not quarter horses or racehorses.

  • I think your full of crap and just looking to change the subject to make yourself feel justified about abusing an animal.

  • gee lets see ... pads are nothing like high heels as everyone keeps comparing them .. and FYI i could give a rats ass less about what you think about my spelling or punctuation ..and sorry typing and typos on a computer doesn't tell anyone anything about intelligence .. but making untrue comments does tell me about your ignorance about the twh breed ...

  • Two point:#1. No-one EVER answered my question of why Paso Finos or Peruvioans carry Nose scars from training and why aren't they being regulated. #2. Anyone who knows anything about the WH industry knows that trainers can't risk their livlihood to the whims of untrained and ignorant VMOS who chge the interp of the rule from week to week. That's the prob...not sore horses. DQP's are mostly consistent but VMO's are not. Treehuggrs...check out the T-breds with 5K dead in 2 yrs. THAT'S cruelty.

  • Hoghead, er I mean Hogguide- you certainly would be the one to know whether or not ignorance is bliss-you must be in a constant state of bliss. And wrxhenry your responses are totally predictable.

All those years ago it was the backyard chemists that created the BIG LICK, and now it will be chemical analysis (the sniffer) that shuts them down. POETIC JUSTICE!

  • sorry for you but most horses ARENT sored .. granted their are a few trainers out their that still do but if a person was harming their horse i dont think they would post it on youtube nor allowed it to be on video .. and sorry for you that my answers are predictable .. i know my horses are not harmed and the sniffer doesnt scare me or bother me at all .. i say bring it on =) the funny thing is the last show i went too .. no padded horses were turned down but 7 flat shod horses were ....

  • FACT: Just this weekend the USDA all but shut down a big show in TN. WHY? the GIG IS UP! The government is aware of their industry trade secrets, and are FINALLY a step ahead of them instead of three steps behind. They are "sniffing" them out this year and they are shaking in their boots. FINALLY the "Big Lick" is being exposed for what it truly is -a CHEMICALLY ALTERED, UNNATURAL, MANMADE GAIT.

  • Actually it isnt fact. The 2 woemen the USDA sent to inspect the horses would turn horses down by pressing their long fingernails into the skina dn coronet band of the horses and MAKE it flinch and move. If the horse wouldnt move they pressed harder. When the trainers and the spectators saw their abuse of the animals they refused to put their aniamls thru a rigged inspection. From what I am told a video was sent to the USDA and an investigation is taking place.

  • to add more...USDA head vet Dr. Lynn Bourgeois said he loves to see the padded walking horses and loves to watch them perform and knows that the padded horse is very well cared for. But he said these two new women were hellbent on shutting down the industry and will stop at nothing to do just that.

  • FACT: This controversy would be over in a minutes time if you took just one of the WGC, or WC's to a sound trainer for two weeks and worked it in NOTHING but a six ounce chain.

FACT: There were over 500 violations/suspensions for 2007. Unilateral sore, bilateral sore, scar, etc. Over 500 - WOW! And to them that equals no more soring, LOL.

FACT: Because of their cruel and inhumane practices the TWH is the only horse breed to be regulated/inspected/prosecuted by the Federal Government.

  • BLAH!BLAH!BLAH!

FACT: NO amount of selective breeding with ONLY the use of pads and chains can produce the "big lick". They are all "sored" to some degree. Some more than others. MOST of the owners are aware of it, however, some are completely oblivious to the fact (by choice or just ignorance). When a horse sells or moves to another trainer how the horse is "fixed" is passed down from trainer to trainer.

  • LOL!! Keep regurgitating those lies kbrogin...More ignorance., It must be a inbreeding problem.

  • Seems like you're the one with the ignorance problem. Take a look at photos and data of horses who were injured in the past by the giant pads put on their hooves, take a look at the chains and the chemicals that burned their hair off on the fetlocks. I'm not trying to argue, I'm simply asking you to take a look at the damage of what this industry (few and far between) does to horses. Please don't bring up race horses, that's a different subject.

  • no race horses arent a different subject when we are talking about horses .. and well why to you think we as trainers are trying to rid the shows of the "bad" people .. we all arent like you seem to think

  • A picture worth 1,000 words: (remove the spaces) -- truth hurts!

    w a l k i n o n r a n c h (dot) c o m (backslash) 1 0 0 0 W o r d s (dot) h t m l

  • Is he out of prisopn yet?? Is he reguistred with the state as a felon??

  • Why would he be in prison, let alone a felon? He has done nothing wrong.. Yet you continue to bash people who use the TWH as a natural horse w/o the big lick. You're a disgrace and a disgusting sad excuse for a human being. PUT YOURSELF IN THE HORSES' SHOES, faggot.

  • Ignorance is bliss....

  • A picture worth 1,000 words: (remove the spaces) -- truth hurts!

    w a l k i n o n r a n c h (dot) c o m (backslash) 1 0 0 0 W o r d s (dot) h t m l

  • Okay!

    This is ridiculous.

I train 47 PADDED TENNESSEE WALKING HORSES...and i must say you are pethetic and petty for even putting this up. do you have anything better to do with your life?

go mess with eight belles death if you want to keep messing with dumb pathetic things... every industry has its BAD TRAINERS. doesn't mean the whole industry is that way.

  • i so agree with you

    :]

  • OR JUST DO A SEARCH FOR "CHAMPAGNE WATCHOUT" - talk about natural class!

  • He is saddling.....he doesnt even exhibit the true TWH gait. He cant even get a ribbon in a small county show.

  • The true TWH gait? Wait, you're referring to the MAN MADE GAIT. Nice try again.

  • Amber..All gaited horses are MAN MADE..We bred them for their smooth gait and natural high stepping way of going. I am good friends with the son of the man who is considered the man who created the walking horse breed...It is VERY apparent I know a little more about this than you do.

Keep posting the link to the "ranch" it proves you are a mindless idiot who believes propaganda and trumped up 1/2truths and lies. Those people are fakes and frauds..Ask her husband about his prison sentence.

  • NOT ALL GAITED HORSES ARE MAN MADE.

    NICE TRY though, seriously.

  • LOL!! Your an idiot. No horse breed naturally gaited unless it was selectively bred to do that. Gaiting breed come about from slective breeding by man. And you claim to have a brain. LOL!! I guess this VET degree means nothing.

  • I'm the idiot yet you can't even use proper grammar. Nice job there.

  • Amber, I have SEVERE nerve damage inmy hands and at times have no feeling, so I may strike a few worngs keys now and then. Pat yourself on the back. Your ignorance and bad attitude once again rose to the occasion. When you have no facts look for spelling mistakes or typos to cover the factthat your own arguments are based on deception and ;lies. When yo cant attack the facts, attack the man with the message.

  • Not deception and lies - I've done my research.

  • LOL!! That is why you must lie in each and every post and have no facts to back up any of your claims.

  • What's his prison sentence got anything to do with him competing in a horse show?

  • He does have the true TWH gait. He's got the NATURAL gait, not the man made one.

  • He is a saddle horse..nothing more. He cant even win a trail pleasure class.

  • Nothing more? Are you kidding? Do you realize that the pads and chains put on horses aren't MUCH MORE than FAKERS? You are seriously misguided, brainwashed, -- aka fucked up in the head.. SERIOUSLY.

  • What is fake about a horse enhancing it's gait in perfect time and sunchronization? it is funny how other breeds can breed, train, ad different devices and training etiquettes to enhance and exaggerate their horses antural abilities and gait yet the Tennessee Walking horse cannot. Morons much like yourself claim there is abuse yet the padded Tennessee walking horse has older, longer competing horses than any other breed.

Keep posting myths and exagerations. it only makes you look like a fool

  • I haven't seen any other breeds use chains and pads. Horse weren't meant to wear high heels - running and jumping, however, come natural to them.

  • You dontmuch about gaited breeds then. Hackneys, 5 gaited, Saddlebreds, mogans, and several others wear pads and action devices. COmapring them to high heels shows you ignorance and lack of knowledge about the padded horse. Their foot angles are the same as if they were standing on keg shoes. It is the law, and every horse is measured before it shows. Do your homeowrk and post facts next time.

  • You say he can't win a "trail pleasure class" yet you've seen no videos of him competeting, unless you took time out to watch the website I posted of the NATURAL horse with NORMAL hooves WITHOUT pads who competed against others who used cheat methods. Might I add she placed over some of those who actually DID USE BIG LICK pads.

  • he has a trail please gait .. he was one of the 95% that couldnt make it padded ...

  • * typo i meant pleasure gait .. and my 4 month old filly looks better than him in the field ..

  • Because wearing pads IS NOT NATURAL. This horse could kick any other horse's butt when it comes to being natural. Sure, if he wore pads I'm sure he'd place higher - but his owners were caring and wanted to take the natural (right) way of doing things.

  • And when padded the right way a horse is setting like it would if it where on keg shoes . and so caring of their horse ... you dont know the owners very well do you ...

  • oh and btw .. most people who claim to have a "natural" flat shod horses .. arent really all that natural but i guess you have done so much research on google you knew that too .... right

  • Visit walkinonranch (remove the spaces) dot com to see how these amazing people who owned a non-padded TWH had to defend themselves against many threats. The video is on there, as well as pictures worth a thousand words - pictures that show the true damage that TWHs can go through. The people who own Champagne Watchout are amazing owners. I applaud them for sticking to the natural and doing better than those who have to cheat to look good!

  • Did they mention the prison sentence for "perversion" and how they have lied and made a mockery opf our breed??

Sorry Leah...but you fail to respond. Please tell us how these horses compete and are shown well into their 20's...yet you claim they are sored and crippled?? How can this be?? how can they show well into their 20'sif you are correct?? Also....Explain why other breeds dont last this long in the performance arena.

Your ignorant LEAH. You refuse to tell the truth.Your a liar.

  • I'm not ignorant. Forgive me if I don't sit on the computer all day having a debate. Do your own research. If you pulled your head out of your ass you'd see the light.

  • A prison sentence for what? Defending their right and the humane treatment of horses? You're the ignorant one - enough with your pathetic trash talk. Grow up.

  • there is no point in trying to protect big licking and the artificial shit that they put on these horses..

back then..the horse gaited very nicely without this crap and still can.If your horse needs this shit to gait perhaps it shouldnt be SHOWN and BRED.

Appreciate the gait your horse has to offer. The only people who agree with these methods are people who are all about the ribbons and money.

The TWH didn't walk the plantations with big shit on their feet did they? No they did it naturally!

  • Exactly! No need to exaggerate the natural gait of the horse.

  • Please explain why other breeds can exaggerate their breeds abilities but the TWH cannot??

Your a hypocrite LEAH....You would fail a debate class miserably.

  • And how am I a hypocrite? What's with all the name calling and put downs? This has nothing to do with me or classes I take. Grow the hell up or stay out of having a conversation.

  • Bahahaha this made me laugh.. She just can't put up any good points! lol

  • And you can?

  • Shut up, animal abuser.

  • "all about the rubbions and money??

SO let me get this straight and try and comprehend your feeble menatl capacity.

People spend thousands of dollars for a horse, several hundfed a month for boarding and training, another $200/month for shoeing and vet care , $150 to take their horse to a show all to win a $40 check and a plastic trophy??

    Your intelligence is seriously lacking.

  • You've obviously got a guilty conscious. No need to take it out on me or anyone else who has a difference of opinion and has seen proof of what this can do to horses. I am not going to sit here and have a stupid debate with you 'cause either way you're still going to have your mind set and your little defensive meter will explode.

  • Guilty conscience?? Hardly. You cant handle the facts about the padded horse aspect of this breed , therefore you have to post lies and propaganda that gullble ididots like yourself will believe. Keep it up....Your doing a fine job at being a mental midget..I guess it comes naturally.

  • How am I posting lies? Yet again you resort to name-calling, which is pathetic. I am not posting anything that is false. I have met Big Lick former trainers who have explained the cruelty that had gone on in the shows. Keep it up though. :) Keep up with the trash talk and defend your cruel methods. Hopefully one day I'll see a video of you getting your ass kicked by the horses who have been abused by what you continue to call "humane"!

  • xAMBERxXxLEAHx,

You still hvent answered my question...if these horses are sored and crippled why do the padded walking horses have a higher percentage of horses showing over the age of 18 than any other performance breed??

Your "facts"dont hold up with the statisitics. Basically...YOUR WRONG.

  • Actually, I'm not. Keep on trying to prove me wrong though with your Internet God Warrior Complex.

  • That's your opinion. :) Nice try.

  • do. We have been in the business FAR longer than most of you guys have. Experience is knowledge--and you don't have any experience on this matter.

  • Blah blah blah blah blah.. Same rant. Just because you've been in a business longer than most people it doesn't mean your ways are right or that you KNOW IT ALL.

  • We arent "pointing the finger at racing"...But we have stated our points. Were tired. Were tired of arguing about something we know we are not doing. Especially when other things are going on that you should be more focused on. Do you know how horrible our economy is right now? Please, for everybody, take your time and energy and focus it on something that can benefit everybody.

This is really like an innocent person facing charges in a courtroom for something they know they did not [cont]

  • tennis alot. Yes, Ive had injuries before..Its just part of playing a sport and being active..I know from owning horses that a horse can even get injured from running around in the field..Sh** happens...

As far as a horse dying?!? Maybe you are referring to the race horse that just died after competing. Now there is sport that should be receiving ALOT more scrutiny that we are right now.

  • I'm not referring to the race track. Regardless of whether or not a horse always gets injured while doing a TWH show, the aftermath of the cruelty that soaring has done to them will certainly help them to a quicker death.

  • I've seen how these horses break down and blow out.

    --

Ive never seen a horse actually die in the showring. I've never seen a horse actually "break down" in the past decade. They might be excused for throwing a shoe, cantering in front of the judges, or just being off. Yes, some horses might have injuries at some point their life. Dont we all? Yes, a horse may have a few warts on their feet..Well damn, if I had to go through DQP Im pretty sure I wouldnt pass! Im an athlete and play (continued)

  • Wow, you're a dumb bitch.
