@martynhanson He got injured pre-Stuttgard. Or Coe would have been in serious trouble in trying to win his first 'major' 800m. I agree that he was never better than at the 1986 Commonwealth. His 800m was effortless. I wonder what he would have ran had he 'gone for it' that day?

No AD100789 - this is what British athletics WAS about . I don't think we have any 1500m runners capaple of 3.35 yet alone 3.30 at the moment .
