82,171 views. Huh? There should be a million viewers by now (uploaded on October 2007) When it's live, you know its not jive. Great performance and thanks for the upload and continued license. I hope both sell millions of their tunes.
I TOTALLY remember this particular show! Absolutely blew me away with this performance!!! had it on VHS for years (until the VCR ate it! Was so bummed!) until NOW!!! What an awesome collaboration!!!! LOVE it!!!!!
Heading out to see John Hiatt later this month. Seen Robert Cray when he opened for Eric Clapton in Seattle at the Key Arena a few years back. I've always liked Robert Cray. Seeing him live, he was better than Clapton, I dare say.
This show was the best. There's nothing like it on now. Chris Issaks is doing a talk/play thing. Maybe it will be good but Dave got the best guests and sidemen.
I am a huge John Hiatt and Robert Cray fan. I don't think I have ever heard a more Sam Moore like performance than what Robert Cray does on this video. Spectacular.
This is the old David Sanborn show, called Night Music.
I was at the taping in NYC. The first time they tried it, there was a power failure in the building. They had to come back and try again. That is David Sanborn on sax.
A1 sweet souled collaboration...these two are one ....such is the way of the musical sumari...!!!

What a great duo.
Although Robert Cray was wonderful the singing by John Hiatt here is some of the most soulful I have ever heard.
To Ashstrat 07 you are absolutely right. John Hiatt's talent is very under appreciated and under recognized by the general public.
The fluffy pop songs sell a gazillion records but this is the real beauty in music.

Oh...what a stunning song...the lyrics say it all. And the music just makes it sail. And these two virtuousoes really knock it out of the ballpark!!
