interesting... right before the credits (when hes says "would you say i became a hero") zack in the japanese says "ore" its basically a pronoun kind of like "you" in english but ore is used when younger males are being confident and referring to themselves and if i recall zach uses watashi which is a more common pronoun with no implied meaning and not gender specific. also before sephiroth passes into the life stream he uses "ore" but afterwards he uses watashi like in advent children

If only Zack was able to meet Aerith one last time before he dies. The fact that the place Zack died was near Shinra & Midgar was what made me really sad, in the end Zack wasn't able to meet Aerith. This game was so amazing, I cannot look at Zack without crying now. Hes by far one of the best heroes i've ever seen. This video is just so sad but also really good at the same time. I love the fact that Zack is smiling when he dies, knowing that he did what he ment to in saving clouds life. He is forever the greatest Final Fantasy Hero.

This game is a total heart breaker. You know Zack is going to die the entire game yet you get to know the character marvelously and follow him through his life, his trials and tribulations and the loss of his (essentially YOUR) friends, and then during his death he doesn't just DIE, he's shot in basically the damn face and you have to limp about with that buster sword TRYING to fight and failing. And then Cloud has to go and scream like THAT. God, I was such a mess. Ridiculous.

i know the whole "pheonix down" is confusing..

but it only revives people who are ko'd like in a real fight when 1 gets beaten to the point where he/she is passed out or unconscious. i.e: the ff series when they fall down and stay down thats ko'd, they are unable to keep fighting... in Zack & Areith/Aeris's case they were KILLED.. not Ko'd. Aerith was stabbed.. and that killed her.. Zack was shot repeatedly unitl his heart gave out.. (which was quite a long time :D) so theres the difference

Amazing game ending, I dont think a single person who played this knowing Zack had to die wanted it to end with his death, we all knew it was coming but seeing everything that Zack overcame, we all hoped that he didnt have to die, great way to finish it though, it finally added some depth to the DMW system with it activating key parts in line with your health at the end.

Yes, the worst thing is, every ffvii player knew what was zack's destiny and still we played crisis core believing zack will overcome anything. I was smashed at the final fight already. it was extremely well done.

0 HP counts as death, so how does PD work?

That's because HP stands for "hit points", not "life points". When someone goes into a state of KO they can't stand to take anymore damage so they are temporarily unable to fight.

A phoenix down does not ressurect someone after they die, it only refreshes them so that they can keep fighting.

Cloud's scream is so heart-wrenching. It feels odd to see cloud with such emotion, because if the subtle way he acted in Final Fantasy VII, but that just makes this scene even more sad.

The English end scream just does not sound like a scream of sorrow. It sounds more like an angry or frustrated sound. This Japanese voice actor did a great job sounding like he just lost a dear friend.

I agree, they should have just used the Japanese scream in both languages. It's not like anyone would be watching it and say, "Hey! That's a Japanese scream!"

As a guy, I can say without losing any dignity, that it was hard to keep back the tears when Zack says "Hey, would you say I became a hero?" right before the credits roll.
