Are you serious? I commute downtown everyday and there's absolutely nothing here! If I go to LA, there's nice weather and entertainment on almost every street. Sure, PHX has restaurants and all of that, but it's not actually good food or entertainment, people are just sheeple and think it is. Plus, you can die of skin cancer or go blind if you're not careful. And there's crime everywhere, it's like the 2nd stop for west coast sex traffickers.
what other state can you get snow ,forest ,mountains, desert and Plains. All within 200 miles of each other There's snowy flagstaff in winter, cool sedona with slide rock river in summer, hiking in spring in Phoenix. It may not be the best state. And head down near Yuma and Orange trees as far as the eye can see.Plus the big malls throughout Phx, the suburbs where most houses were built within the last 5 years, And of course downtown, And downtown with an art expo every 1st friday of the month.

I just drove in from Phoenix back home to San Diego not 40 mins ago, we went for a family Quinceañera celebration, but my girl and I drove straight to the downtown area to see the sights the next day... lovely city, very clean and they seem to have a nice respect for the arts... not talking about folk art either lol.

@MovieMad007 There are a few mountain bike trails maintained by the city for you to enjoy. My advice would be, if you visit, go to north Scottsdale near Pima road and Deer Valley road and find some trails. Not mountainous however the sights and desert beauty is unmatched! Come in mid spring or mid fall. Best time of the year! P.S. We didn't vote on our Governor. She was simply next in line when Obama appointed Janet as his Director of Homeland Security.
What other state has snow, mountains, desert & forests within 200 miles, & a Grand Canyon, a huge dam... well half of one; a poisonous lizard, roadrunners, 115º+ heat every summer, dust storms, cacti, awesome desert landscapes, weird drive by rainfall, low humidity, very low worries of natural disasters, Mexican food a plenty, a country border, white skin isnt the majority, you might even see a coyote chasing a roadrunner. Phoenix is okay, been here 23 years. The people are slightly defensive, the weather gets hot, & the traffic is impatient. The houses are cheaper now 4bedrm for 100-200k. The areas around the city change pretty fast, you're driving through city center, 15 mins later large green lots w/ many trees, 15 mins later rocky desert, 15 mins later farmland... I like it here.

I hate this damn city so much. I went back home to my birthtown SAN ANTONE and wish I could of just stayed but the job market is kind of bad like every so im stuck here for now. SA TOWN has sunshine most of the year hot and humid in the summer and winter comes and it's nice out. We have history, good restaruants, the river walk, Alamo, Six Flags, Sea World etc. and it's really green phx ain't got nothing on SAN ANTONE. Screw the suns to. GO SPURS GO!!!
im in Phoenix for 34 hours as a truck driver, I entered in from the East on I10 and all the way through was just a simple beautiful dessert. the heat of course is wicked but I am managing to beat the heat. where I will go next? I don't know
I don't understand why people say they don't want to move to az simply because of the heat. Think about this, nine months out of the year we have beautiful sunny days ranging from the 60's to 80's, we never have natural disasters, it doesn't snow, and it only rains about 30 days in the year. Plus the summer months are not that bad because almost everyone has a pool, air conditioning was invented, and it is only three months out of the year.

I live in AZ and the reason there were no people down town is that probably this was filmed on a weekend. The only reason people go downtown is for work. Downtown is terribly for lack of a better word ghetto so people don't really go there. Stay in areas like cave creek, paradise valley, Scottsdale, and north Phoenix. (:

@BigMike859 -I too moved from TX(Houston) to Phoenix a few years ago. Its not at all what I expected. I will say that as a person of Mexican American descent I have never experienced so much racism. Phoenix is like going back to the 1970s compared to some other cities. But there are some very nice places such as Paradise Valley, Scottsdale, some parts of Glendale are ok. Peoria, Sun City is ok as well. As far as things to do lot's of shopping and you have access to Flagstaff and CA isn;t far

Sales tax is high10.5%, property tax's are very low.If you got a job there take it I would say the economy is worst there but it makes for great deals in housing.if you need a good realtor let me know.

I just moved from Phx. I was in that area alot. Downtown is weird. Except for the ASU Phx campus yo ucould walk around and not see anyone. All these big buildings and no one in sight. Maybe some people at the Arizona Center.

would like to know what Arizona is like for Mountain biking?- though Phoenix looks very flat from this video! Are there any decent sort of mountainbikng areas like the Grand Canyon would be? I havent been to the US for a long time - although have been put off going to the States because I didnt agree with its stance on iraq etc? But I think this person i have spoken to just recently from arizona is changing my mind....

@MovieMad007 There are a few mountain bike trails maintained by the city for you to enjoy. My advice would be, if you visit, go to north Scottsdale near Pima road and Deer Valley road and find some trails. Not mountainous however the sights and desert beauty is unmatched! Come in mid spring or mid fall. Best time of the year! P.S. We didn't vote on our Governor. She was simply next in line when Obama appointed Janet as his Director of Homeland Security.

What other state has snow, mountains, desert & forests within 200 miles, & a Grand Canyon, a huge dam... well half of one; a poisonous lizard, roadrunners, 115º+ heat every summer, dust storms, cacti, awesome desert landscapes, weird drive by rainfall, low humidity, very low worries of natural disasters, Mexican food a plenty, a country border, white skin isnt the majority, you might even see a coyote chasing a roadrunner. Newbs touch stuff they shouldn't in 115º heat, thats fun to see.

Phoenix is okay, been here 23 years. The people are slightly defensive, the weather gets hot, & the traffic is impatient. The houses are cheaper now 4bedrm for 100-200k. The areas around the city change pretty fast, you're driving through city center, 15 mins later large green lots w/ many trees, 15 mins later rocky desert, 15 mins later farmland... I like it here.

I hate this damn city so much. I went back home to my birthtown SAN ANTONE and wish I could of just stayed but the job market is kind of bad like every so im stuck here for now. SA TOWN has sunshine most of the year hot and humid in the summer and winter comes and it's nice out. We have history, good restaruants, the river walk, Alamo, Six Flags, Sea World etc. and it's really green phx ain't got nothing on SAN ANTONE. Screw the suns to. GO SPURS GO!!!

I don't understand why people say they don't want to move to az simply because of the heat. Think about this, nine months out of the year we have beautiful sunny days ranging from the 60's to 80's, we never have natural disasters, it doesn't snow, and it only rains about 30 days in the year. Plus the summer months are not that bad because almost everyone has a pool, air conditioning was invented, and it is only three months out of the year.

I live in AZ and the reason there were no people down town is that probably this was filmed on a weekend. The only reason people go downtown is for work. Downtown is terribly for lack of a better word ghetto so people don't really go there. Stay in areas like cave creek, paradise valley, Scottsdale, and north Phoenix. (:

Summers are humid but it's no worse then phoenix. The only difference is San Antonio has something for everyone of all ages. Phoenix only caters to old grumpy retired people from Northern States. Golf Courses and Spa's wow fun. and the rest of the city is just shitty ghetto's

@BigMike859 -I too moved from TX(Houston) to Phoenix a few years ago. Its not at all what I expected. I will say that as a person of Mexican American descent I have never experienced so much racism. Phoenix is like going back to the 1970s compared to some other cities. But there are some very nice places such as Paradise Valley, Scottsdale, some parts of Glendale are ok. Peoria, Sun City is ok as well. As far as things to do lot's of shopping and you have access to Flagstaff and CA isn;t far

Sales tax is high10.5%, property tax's are very low.If you got a job there take it I would say the economy is worst there but it makes for great deals in housing.if you need a good realtor let me know.

There's no one in downtown Phoenix because there's no where to park for free XD.
Plus I'm guessing this was done on a summer morning/afternoon, because of the clouds and the upload date. The only people who are out and about during the day in summer are either idiots jogging & getting heat stroke or dumb tourists

I just moved from Phx. I was in that area alot. Downtown is weird. Except for the ASU Phx campus yo ucould walk around and not see anyone. All these big buildings and no one in sight. Maybe some people at the Arizona Center.

Well, if you're in the country illegally, probably not, since Joe Arpaio is very strict against illegal immigration. But if you're brown (like me), and an American citizen or legal resident, you'll be fine - you won't have to worry about being deported. The racist charge is because this city is very strict against illegal immigration. But remember, being against illegal immigration is NOT the same thing as being racist against Mexican-Americans. Phoenix is the shit! Feel free to move over here.
