  • Oh ok could you send me the web adress because I can't seem to find it. By the way your Russian Spitfire is the best spit I have ever seen!!!! It's just amazing!!! :)

  • @Stanier8F Thank you.. :) :) I sent you the link in a message.. :)

  • Did you say that u for lots of your models from SBX models Ipswich. And thanks for subscribing Tommy channel it's really appreciated and I will subscribe to yours when I can. Our computer is being silly so I am doing this of my iPod. Thanks

    Alex

  • @Stanier8F I have bought quite a few models from SBX, yes.. but he no longer has the shop, he just does online and post order deliveries now.. It's a good little 'shop' though, even if I haven't used it much lately. mainly due to generally cutting down on my model shopping anyway..

  • @BasicModelling

Hi I love your videos and you collection. I live quite near Colchester and my friend is a native Swedish as well. Seems we have a lot in common.

    Alex

  • @Stanier8F Yes, I have a friend who is Swedish too... ;) Ha ha ha ha.. Glad you enjoy my videos.. Thank you.. :)

  • please can you do a p38-j lightening revell in 1/48

  • @lewisnorthants Not anytime soon, I'm afraid.. I haven't got a kit and have to be careful with my money right now so can't buy one either! But I have an Academy and a Revell kit to build, both in 1/72.. :)

  • please can you do a p38-j lightening revell in 1:48

  • nice, you have same type of aircraft but paint is diferent... so nice!!!!

  • @francocff Thank you.. :)

  • I spy with my little eye, spitfire mkXVIe! Where did you get it and what make is it?

  • @EPICCLES Most likely the old Heller kit, if I remember correctly.. :)

  • well atleast we knoe that if we go into war you will be here to give us a helping hand

  • @souljajoeandtheowl Yes, I will trhow my plastic kits at the enemy.. :)

  • 2:30 NICE like all other models

  • @edvinaskmito Thank you... :)

  • congratulations for your air force...

  • @francocff Ha ha ha.. Thank you.. :)

  • i have a blue ME-109 lol.its a german blue though

  • @legomaster335 Sounds very nice.... :) :)

  • @BasicModelling it is mate.kinda fucked up the glass a little by getting glue prints on it haha

  • @legomaster335 That happens to us all... which is why I use either PVA glue, Humbrol Clearfix or Johnsons Klear Floorpolish to fix my canopies now... They don't mist up the clear parts at all.. :)

  • @BasicModelling thanks for the tip.i love you models. can i perhaps buy one off you haha, if your selling

  • @legomaster335 What, ready made?? Trust me, you wouldn't want any of them... :) :) And no, I don't sell them.. I wish I could model to a professional standardand earn some money from it but no such luck for me, I'm afraid.. :)

  • @BasicModelling worth a try eh lol

  • @legomaster335 No harm in asking.. :) I've seen your comment on my channel.. if you have any requests for inbox reviews, tips, how to's and FAQ's, or even a build, then please leave a comment on my 'Request' video, which I posted the other day.. That way I will have them all together and know where to go for ideas.. :) Thanks..

  • @BasicModelling are you british by the way? cause im from liverpool

  • @legomaster335 No... I'm Swedish.. but I have lived in the UK (Colchester) for nearly 12 years now... :)

  • I see a alot of RAF fighters, you must be very proud of you country

  • @strarscreamtheking I'm proud of the country I live in, and the effort they made during WWIi, but I'm equally proud of my native country, which is why I intend to build a lot more Swedish aircraft, in due time.. just want to up my skills a bit more first.. :)

  • Nice Spits

  • you sir, have an amazing talent THAT IS SO FREAKIN COOL!!!!!!!! tHOSE ARE THE MOST REALISITIC THINGS I HAVE EVER SEEN. I make models, but not of planes

  • u are literally amazing

  • Man, what happened to that MiG-3? It's landing gear broke off! :(

  • @RusskieHunter13 It's fixed again.. :)

  • @BasicModelling Thank God! :) I don't want to see such a fine model broken. Btw how many total models do you have? I think I might have somewhere close to a hundred, maybe even more!

  • @RusskieHunter13 I gave up counting after 200.. and now I just don't know as I have them packed away in boxes all over the place.. I had some on display at the local model shop as well, but he has closed down now.. :(

  • @BasicModelling Cool :)

  • Awesome video! A lot of models there - how many Hurricanes do you have?!

  • @2002And A quick count tells me I have about 14, that I can see now.. Not all of them are well built though, and will be remade at some point, as I have managed to find again the same set of after market decals I used on a lot of them initially.. :) I have plans for many many more.. :)

  • @BasicModelling Nice - how many more have you got plans for? A few?

  • @2002And I have decals for plenty.. I hope to build a Mk.IIc Night Intruder.. a few different Mk.IIb's.. another Mk.IId, maybe another Mk.IIa or two.. and a couple of Mk.I's too.. I also want to build a few different SeaHurricanes, hoping that Revell will reissue their SeaHurricane kit soon.. :0) Oh, I just remembered I want to make anothe SEAC Mk.IIc too.. and a Hurri on skis.. There;s no shortage of projects, no shortage at all.. Finnish, Russian, Portugese, Japanese, Belgian, Egyptian.. ;0)

  • ...Persian, Polish, French,Turkish, Jugoslavian, Romainan, Irish and so on.. the list is endless.. :) Even a Luftwaffe version.. :)

  • Brilliant doodle-bug and I wont forget the rest!

  • @wammyburger The doodle still isn't finished.. it needs decalling.. :)

  • im liking the stuka...

  • @HeartGoldMVP Thanks.. so do I.. :) About time I did another one.. :)

  • @BasicModelling when you do, make a video :D:D:D:D:D

  • @HeartGoldMVP I may just do that, you know... just for a change... :)

  • wow love the v2 rocket

  • @KeptSpartan463 I really need to get round to painting it soon, I guess.. :)

  • @BasicModelling yeah that would make it stad out more

  • @KeptSpartan463 I'll probably do it in a splinter camo, rather than black and white.. or plain green.. :)

  • @BasicModelling by the way do you have any model ships? such as the HMS Belfast or a Trafalgar Class submarine? or a Chinook troop transport helicopter.

  • @KeptSpartan463 I have a few kits to build, mainly of WWII motor torpedo boats.. and I have a few submarine kits built, but not the Trafalgar kit.. it sold out very quickly before I could get one.. :)

  • rob can you make a mosquito please!

  • @lkj802 I have about 4 Airfix 1/72 scale Mosquito's to build, they're in the pipeline.. but I'm not quite sure when I'll make the first one.. :) I'll probably build them two at a time.. :)

  • @BasicModelling hey just a suggestion about the mosquito's why don't you make 1 in night fighter form

    1 in fighter form

    1 in bomber form

and 1 in fighter bomber form just a suggestion

  • @lkj802 I'm going to make a Swedish Air Force J 30 Mosquito (Night Fighter), and a RAF Night Fighter, and a couple of other versions, all RAF.. Not quite sure what the kit offers, in way of variations.. :)

  • @BasicModelling the airfix kit comess with two or three different roles i built the fighter role but at christmas im hopefully going to get another to make the bomber role

  • why is the hurri orange at 1:04?? also, why do i see some aircraft around with a roundel of dark blue with a light blue centre??? and 3:18, the black hurricane, i've built another plane from that squadron :) no87 RAF...

  • @MilitaryAircraft101 It isn't orange, it is RED... It was used for radar calibration trials, and was painted in a radar reflective paint, I believe.. :) The dark blue roundel with a light blue centre is the insignia of the SEAC, or South East Asia Command.. they could not use any red colour in their insignia, as they could'nt be confused with the Japanese, in case they got shot down by the Americans or their own British troops or planes.. :) I have also built a SEAC Spitfire Mk.VIII.. :)

  • Yeahh... I'm pretty sure you have too many models... lol... then again you can never have too many... especially if they're planes :D

  • @AceInTheMaking I DO indeed have too many models.. one of my jobs today is to box a lot of them to clear some space on my shelves for some new ones.. :)

  • 1:34, What happened to the spitfire :O

  • @spanish111japan A slight drop of about 10 cm on to the table as it slipped out my hand.. but I will make another one using the Airfix IXc kit before too long.. :)

  • where can i find that vampire kit

  • @148scalemodeling The Airfix / Heller Vampire is probably out of production at the moment.. but maybe you can search on e-bay? I was lucky and found a kit at a model show last year, they are not difficult to find at model shows and on the second hand market.. :)

  • beautiful .......[sad face with tears] lol

  • Thank you very much

  • No problem.. Now all I have to do is to remember to make the video.. :)

  • Please can you make a vid on how to paint tiny parts (like landing gear and pilots).

  • I guess that can be done.. :) Will have to wait until next time I need to pint any such things.. but for some idea of what to do, please watch my Airfix 1/72 Spitfire Mk.IXc video.. :)

  • My love is with the Hurricane, but I guess I should get another Spitfire or two built before too long.. :)

  • it would be cool if they made a scaled zepplin what do you think?

  • Revell has just released a 1/720 scale model of the 'Hindenburg'.. :)

  • oh cool i didnt know thatthanks but i was thinking more in the line of 1:76 scale (thats the scale i collect) thanks anyways im kinda new to modelling

  • There's not likely to be one in 1/76 scale.. more likely in 1/72 if so! But it would be absolutely massive.. too large really! :)

  • ok ya i guess your right any new videos soon?

  • Not right at the moment.. but there will be some, I haven't stopped posting! Just taking a little break.. :)

  • have you ever thought about doing the 600 piece mosquito???

  • Yes.. but it will stay a thought.. I have four kits to do in 1/72 scale.. that will be enough.. :)

  • loveing the mustang!

  • Thank you.. :)

  • have you got any tips on how to paint on detailed cammo?

  • Start with the lightest colour forst, then maybe draw on the pattern with a faint pencil, then do the slightly darker shade and finish with the darkest.. That's what I normally do, when I paint any camo at all.. :)

  • how did you do the cammo on the tank at 2:40 it looks amazing and can u answer the question i posted on the frigid midget preview

  • Which one.. the Swedish S-Tank? I just painted it green and white, based on some photos I found on the internet.. :)

  • you should but like a spitfire or something and put german markings on it for like a captured plane! i did that with my 1/72 scale P-51B. you should try it once!

  • I have done that.. ages ago!! :) :) When I find the decals for it, I will definetely build a captured P-47 Thunderbolt... :)

  • Hmmm... I might be able to help with a PZL P-11. I have a Revell one, as old as the Zero I built, very detailed surface, even down to the ribbed skin. Yes... that will work beautifully for you, I think. Like the Polish kits, it's got Kosciuszko Squadron marks, but it's very nice. :)

  • You know me.. I never say no!! But I can't really ask you for that, they're gold dust.. :) :) We'll sort something out at some point.. right now modelling is far from my mind though, it'll be a while before I get anything done.. :P

  • Build something with Polish! xD Maybe PZL P.11 or PZL.37 Łoś?

  • I have a 'KARAS' to build.. but I have looked everywhere for a PZL. 11, but you can't even find a kit on the second hand market, these days.. :(

  • You have pictures or video from the (pol.) Karas (eng.) Carassius?

PZL P.11 rather than Polish is not available :(

  • I haven't built the model yet.. but I hope to get round to it at some point soon! I should have started it a long time ago, but other models got done instead.. :) I can do an Inbox Review for you, if you want to see the kit.. :)

  • Maybe Mirage makes a PZL P-11?

  • Wow great collection!

  • Thank you.. I have another 51 models shown in the first video.. :) :)

  • that MiG (what is it 15?) and that Polikarpov fighter ("For Stalin!" on its side) look awsome. I saw on that Stuka you applied decals BEFORE painting overall? how can that be?

  • Yes, there's 2 MiG-15's, (one is a trainer) and the I-16 is one of my better models, thank you!! :) At least one of the ones I like the most.. The Stuka is in Winter camouflage, whcih is a white paint they applied all over the planes, except over the insignia, where they left the original 2-tone green.. so it may look unpainted, but it's not.. :) It's all done according to building and painting instructions.. :)

  • oh winter camo! duh! idiot. sry, for that. Im looking at you models and not for the first time seeing how my 1/144 models suck. do u do that spot camo by hand?! wow.

  • Ha ha ha.. :) And yes, I don't airbrush, so all my painting is done by hand.. sometimes it turns out good, and sometimes it doesn't! I can't brushpaint white or yellow though, so those colours I tend to spray on, using a spraycan.. :)

  • I too have a problem with white and yellow! goes on like water. takes like 10 coats! (my models are 1/144 - so small - sometimes airbrushing is not good)

  • Yes, I don't know why the paint manufacturers can't make a yellow and white paint that brushes on well.. but I guess it must be something with the pigments used, because all makes of paints are troublesome, when it comes to those two colours.. and also orange.. :P

  • I had only one experience with orange - I airbrushed a civilian version of a C-47 (one of the older models that looks like shit) I didnt know what I was doing then and I still dont pretty much. I cant get over that spot camo - for me thats WOW

  • Thank you... :) I have heard that the Xtracolours yellow and orange are quite easy to use, by the way.. both air- and handbrushing.. :)

  • nice v2 i think do you also heve a v1?

    the mustang looks awesome

love the mig, also thath spitfire on floats whats thath called?

the tanks are and look proffesional!

    cheers mate

    oo and exelent music!

  • Yes, I have a V1, it should be on show in this video, actually.. both the V2 and the V1 are in 1/48 scale.. :) The Spitfire on floats is a Mk.Vb, also known as the 'floatfire'.. :)

  • American spit :) Two Storchs, I had no idea these were already complete.

  • I built the German and Swedish Storchs ages ago.. I want to build a Finnish one, and the French Criquet as well, but you know that already.. and as you also know I started the French Criquet a while ago, but like most of my models it's tewmporarily on hold, until I get the urge to complete it.. :)

  • Heres hoping the urge returns sometime soon >)

A cricket match does tend to last a while in my experience ;)

  • The urge is there, but right now I haven't got as much time as I'd like to have.. Especially as I'm still fiddling with the computer, but all my 3 camera options works with Vista now.. only 1 camera worked with my old XP, and that was the one with bad sounduptake.. :p I should be able to do more 'vlogging' again now..

  • Well done getting things to work with vista :)

  • oNLY JUST.. :)

  • The vampire is a FiAF plane am i right?

  • Yes, as is the MiG-15 UTI next to it.. :)

  • wow really cool models i have about 40 models and more to come i may send a video someday i post it as a response

    tj

  • That's the kind of kits I stuill love to build.. :)

  • This is just under half of my current collection.. I have thrown an awful lot away.. :P

  • were.lol

    tj

  • Almost enough for an air force :)

  • Yes, shame they're not all 1/1 scale.. :)

    ..and flying..

  • If that were the case, you may need a bigger house. :)

  • A hanger and a runway would suit me nicely.. even if I can't fly myself I could enjoy watching others.. :)

  • how about a control tower.thats my fav.

    tj

  • That would be nace too.. not many left now though!! But some has been converted to ordinary houses, which is a nice idea.. :)

  • yeh i live in one.lol in my dreams lol

  • ever built a 1/24 scale trumpter kit i dont know much about them kits ,messerschmitt etc FW d9.

    tj

  • No, I rarely build larger than 1/48, when it comes to planes..:)

  • I like messerschmiitt 1.32 scale there and beufighter un painted.and huricane

    stuka too P47 yummy.

    tj

  • The bf.109 is in 1/48.. I built a 1/32 Bf.109 E-4 many years ago, but wouldn't do it again now.. in those days I made te models to play with, so bigger was better. Now I build them to keep, so do smaller scales.. :)

  • thats a 1,48 th scale kiddin me it looks 1.32 scale.thats a big me 109.G.

yeh. today i look on ebay as model shops seem to go missing today well kids like guns. today Gangster Rap.

    tj

  • Yes.. it's also the recession, I guess.. but it's a very popular hobby over hre still.. and luckily my local hobby shop is still standing.. :)

  • yes i agree sad really; times are a changin my shop has gone we did have 3 in our town but sadly all gone the main one was here since 1967.

    tj

  • Yes, it is sad.. :(

  • imy dad built 1.24th scale Airfix kit in 71

    still got...............and spitfire thats it.

    tj

  • Wow! Where do you store them all when they are not on display? Dumb question, I know...

  • Most of them are stored in drawers in what's supposed to be my bedside cabinet.. :) Not ideal.. but I have nowhere else to put them.. :) Apart from packed in boxes in the loft.. :)

  • nice; and those in too many 'parts' can be your 'boneyard' as at Davis-Monthan :) so don't hide your 'boneyard' away, it could be a thrilling

'if only' diorama that increases etc...)

  • Yes.. and no.. and then some//, :)

  • Monty Python - The Spanish Inquisition

    nobody expects...etc :)

  • makin my mouth water .

    nice ...........

    tj

  • Mine too.. the thought of all those Hurricanes I'm yet to build.. :)

  • I bet you stay away from model kit shops .

lol. I do.but the urge sends me there.

like when i was 6.with my dad and mum and sister.

    tj

  • The first thing I look for, if we go anywhere, is the local modelshop.. :) :) I can't go past one and not go in, they may just have THAT model that I have been looking for.. :)

  • Thanks for putting it on =]

  • I try to comply.. :)

  • thnx =]

  • no offence' to the music Rap but kids dont really listern to it just try and imitate there heroes on vids..hence guns.

    i like Rap music too.

    tj

  • I chose music for my videos by length first, and fitting content second.. :)

  • no not your music to (thnx) if it was for me about Rap music.comment below.

i know Rap has got a bad name lately

    but .some good.

    terry

  • If you make another 6 do we call you Heinz?

  • Now, that was varied comment.. :)
