  • Scotty herder? HURR DURR DURR! :D

  • Can you do a review of schecter solo 6 custom

  • @haronwylde I second that comment; please do a review on the solo6 custom

  • @meateatingvegans i am sorry i did not see it

  • This guy has sick tone. (In a good way.)

  • I have this guitar and abso freaking lutely LOVE it!!!!!!! Scotty makes it sing soooo pretty, I'm almost there....not! lol It is a perfect guitar.

  • You are a guitar god, Please thumbs this up so he can see and bless my rocking ways 0.0

  • You can go 'n have a bite, and you'll still be hearing that one!

  • Hey guys, can someone please tell me what a guitar that looks just like this is, just without the top nob?

    I need to know asap.

Thanks so much for your time in advance... :0)

  • @DavinaFaerie LTD Xtone i guess.Really fugly imho

  • @taxo what about Xtone's?

  • perfect for classic rock

  • could you please do a review on the solo custom? that would be great!

  • thats my guitar :D

  • how much $?

  • isn't this actually a 24 3/4" scale guitar?

  • beautifuly crafted:D love the body on it

  • my god, that thing is hot

  • How does this compare to the C-1 Hellraiser? Are they even in the same price range?

  • Very nice indeed.

  • Hey Scott, I have seen you play a bunch of the schecter models....of them all do you have an honest favorite?

  • man i love schecters!

  • I'd love to see tab for 2:29!

  • could you guys add annotations in your future videos saying when you have coil-tapping activated, i can hear an obvious change in the sound, but i'm never quite sure because these guitars just have so many different sounds coming out of them

  • hi what is the song name in 0:32??

  • i was going to get a les paul until i played the hellraiser. schecter is making amazing stuff now but what im wondering is this: i played the one with the EMGs which was amazing for metal (of course) how well can this thing do the big heavy stuff?

  • If I had that tone that he had in the beginning, I wouldn't want to change it lol, I would just do a demo with that the whole time. The other tones you get out of it are pretty cool too

  • whats the song at the very start called?

  • Oh man... This or an LTD EC 1000. Anyone? The only thing that would sway my mind is the amount of mother of pearl, or whatever htat is inlayed on the LTD... But any ideas from anyone?

  • @punkmusicmetal

I'm facing the exact same question. I love the matte finish you can get on the EC1000 but I think those are a little hotter on the pickups. Having finally sat down and played them both on the same setup consecutively, I'm leaning toward the Solo-6.

  • i have this guitar and it is def amazing...it has a great tone ..this thing is heavy must b 20 lbs of solid mahogony man ,even when not pluged in this guitar rings out with tone ..best 500 buck i ever spent on a guitar...huge gibson fan just dont have gibson money..and btw when u see this guitar online or in a pic its realy not as bright looking as it looks on camera its a lil darker look better imo...more tobacco or rootbeer burst realy lol ...stays in tune and the sustain is awsome !

  • Your video is great. Thank you for your sharing.

  • is that made in USA?

  • @yangtou767 its made in korea...but set up to play in the usa ...dude dont b fooled by the whole korea thig this guitar is a beast plays and sound sweet i have one ..solo 6 custom

  • Your reviews are awesome man! Thanks a lot and keep them coming!

  • Holy shit. Nice sustain...

  • actually a better or equal sound to angus' SG in the beginning when he's playing hell's bells, it seems like a great guitar to me that I'd love to own if I wasn't building my own :)

  • @EpictheEpicest not angus sound that much, more a real 80's hard rock sound like motley crue... but if it sound so good its more because he is using a handwired vox ac30 with alnico blue speakers.

  • @RythmTR i have this guitar and im playin it thru a mesa singal rectifier and a marshal cab...sounds unbeliveable this guitar is unreal for the money

  • I just bought the solo 6 custom which is supposed to have the sh-11 and 59 pickups, but when loosened up the pickups and looked underneath the neck pickup was labeled an SH-2N which is the jazz pickup bridge was SH-11, I wonder how the factory would have managed to put a jazz instead of a 59' ?

  • hi pro i live in hong kong u know that city

i want know how much solo6

and send to hong kong about how much

  • Faaaarrrrrkkkk man you play the ass off that thing... lovin your work dude!!!!

  • im going to ONSTAGE to buy a new schecter guitar. can u tell me which one will be the best for HARD ROCK heavy metal

  • Gibson les paul the best

  • @go2hellable i bet you've never even touched one.

  • what's the name of the song at 2:55 ?

  • Andy, I am still in love with this freakin beast, one day....

    Rock on Scotty!!

  • holy crapping poop at 2:30 :O wow.. this guy is awesome.. aha

  • My favorite video on youtube! *thumbs up*

  • Hmm... This might be a buy for me this fall:)

  • sick

  • i tried it with e.m.g.'s and think it sounded better

  • Cool guitar, how much does it weigh?

  • @montelinus a lot its solid mahogany

  • I want!

  • dose the solo 6 classic come with a bigsby option or is that only available with the vintage?

  • @yellowvespa04 Only the vintage I think

  • Hello you play like a god!!!! I love the sound of your amp too; do you have a boost on the vox or it s just the natural sound of this amp?

    Thanks a lot

  • amazing sustain...

  • How dose it compare to today's les paul?

  • haha it doesn't. not likely anything ever really will.

completely different grade guitar, it is still a very nice guitar though i'm not being a pompous ass. something i like about all schecters is most have coil taps and other accessories that allow your guitar to be as versatile as possible. very well made as well, for under a grand you'd be hard pressed to find anything better, i doubt you'd be able to find anything actually

  • Why am I hearing the quality of the current Gibson line is less than stellar? I've heard from several people and online that it's horrible. Is this true?

  • @sbarton Lol somewhat. Gibson has been producing more duds lately. But I bought a Gibson Les Paul Studio in 2008 and it's a stellar guitar. Everythings stock. Only thing I did when I got the guitar was adjust the action and the pickups and I was all set. Gibson's still making quality.

  • Just different.

  • I liked this review, except one little thing. First he says, "it allows you to aces the higher frets" and then he plays up to 20, or 21 fret, but not higher :) Looks like a solid guitar worth buying!

  • Excellent Review !!!!!!!

  • how much is this guitar

  • youve never heard of hells bells lol

  • whats the name of the song in the beginning!!??

  • Hells Bells - AC/DC

  • @SoloMaster5000

    Rock Steady? Bad Co?

  • Hello, just for some clarification...

Schecter Solo-6 Classic and 2010 Custom's are 24.75" scales. Schecter Hellraiser and Blackjack ATX are 25.5" scales. The Schecter website and catalog is up to date with this information as of Feb 2010.

  • i have that guitar it rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ 2:28 the guys fingers look really cool

  • i got the same pickups, puting the plate on them will change the sound? please someone answer

  • of course it will, if you put plates on them then the microphone doesn't take so much resonance and signal and it gives more tight and bass sound i assume?

  • that sustain is beast!!! I need this!

  • Great demo! Kudos to Scotty. I watched this a few time to cop some licks as well!

  • Comment removed

  • @cdjhazza the solo 6 classic is 849.00 us

the solo 6 hellraiser is 749.99 us

and the 2010 model custom is 699.99 us

  • i get the schecter diamond series 6 active with duncan pickups and i have to say is awesome

  • I have 4 Schecters all ready but I might just have to get this one too!

  • man schecter make some kickass sounding guitars that sounds awesome in your hands bro

  • how much is the solo 6?

  • I need to check out Schecter's new guitars, I had an S-1 6 or 7 years ago and I hated it but their new gear looks very promising.

  • i liked the single coil sound

  • musiciansfriend and the schecter website say it's 24 3/4." is this incorrect?

  • no. even schecter's web site is wrong. it is in fact, 25.5 inch scale. i won one, and have measured it myself.

schecter is too lazy to change the web page.

  • pls tell what amps your using in your videos. maybe just 2 words in the description

  • It's the Vox Handwired Heritage AC30 with a 2x12 Alnico Blue loaded cab.

  • hey scotty your a sick player and i really like your chops do you have any dvd instructional video? or do you have a cd a band please let me know i live here in upstste newyork do you do tours on your band or in proguitrashop demo please let me know i wanted to be like you on playing guitars thanks

  • Whoooooaaaahhh...that's some kind of run-on sentence! Scotty doesn't have an instructional DVD (that we know of) but he was in a band called Sweaty Nipples for some time in the 90's. They have some videos that are easily found on youtube.

  • lol, you said "Sweaty Nipples"

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos Sweaty nipples? LMAO.

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos hahahaha sweaty nipples. thats awesome. hes legit so i guess i cant make fun

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos That, my friend, is the best band name I have ever heard.

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos would this be good at sounding like say, a Les Paul? I'd like to get a sort of Joe Bonamassa sound out of it.

  • @ArianeQube I think it would do the job mate. I use the same pickups in some of my guitars, they have great versatility it's like a hot vintage tone and It's good for just about anything. I know JB uses quite low output pickups in his guitars but there is so much wood in a les paul you get so much more sustain anyway, All the best :)

  • @renan111

Yeah that guy is much better than craps like hammett....Theres no justice at all.

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos : is it really only the ac30? the last minute it seems it's some kind of hi gain amp??? Or do you use a pedal?? Thanks very much!

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos Were any pedals used for this demo? I've been looking for almost exactly this sound for my band.

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos and no pedals? That's some heavy overdrive for a AC30!

  • its one of those. I'll look it up.

  • this or the esp ltd ec-1000 amber with duncans?

  • probably made in the same factory as the guy who owns ESP also owns Schecter. I had an EC 1000 and had to send a few back because the pickups kept on cutting out, though this might of been a bad batch because everyone else has had a good experience.

Try before you buy I'd say! Unless you're buying from somewhere you know has a no hassle returns policy.

  • This looks exactly like Jerry's, from Papa Roach, favorite guitar. does anyone know if this is what he plays?

  • He owns this but doesn't use it that often. He used it in the lifeline video. He mostly goes with his schecter tempest custom I believe

  • Thanks for your outstanding review and playing.

We can feel you love what you are doing!!!!

Great choice of songs to. 5*

  • Tight!!! how much does this masterpiece cost?

  • $849

  • is this guitar good for metal?

  • Does it sound like it is?

  • I play Metal, and I just ordered one... So, Hells YESSS!

  • nice guitar n nice tone too..i like it very much..

  • anybody have one, can u tell me a roundabout price you paid?

  • sweet lookin and sounding guitar, might get one with my left over student loan money lol

  • ha thats what im doin

  • Nice sounding guitar !

  • Does the tonepros metric bridge really make a huge difference from a regular bridge that comes on an Epiphone Les Paul? Would it really change the sustain by much?

  • Sounds awesome! What's the weight on these?

  • buying one without a doubt

  • AC/DC Hells Bells at 0:08

  • is he using that ac30 behind him?

  • I just got mine....took me 3 months....its friggen awsome and I love it. The ebony fretboard, the graph tech nut, the pick ups, the finish is flawless. Great guitar!!

  • whats the riff he is playing at 1:06

  • Rock Steady by Bad Company

  • Love Schecter!!!

What is that harmonic thing he does at 2:42?

  • what I like about your reviews is that you spend most of the time PLAYING the thing and showing what the gears about and not mindlessly describing it and talking on and on like so many other reviewers - "shut up and play yer guitar!" - frank zappa

  • I am SOOOOO GETTING THIS guitar and for the person who said it does not come with a hard case it actually comes with one in the packaging.

  • do you think this guitar could compete with a gibson les paul studio..

  • The Schecter site states the the scale is 24.75" not 25.5".

  • This has been covered over & over. The Schecter site is WRONG. Believe me! I'm sitting in front of my computer, playing one right now! I've measured the fretboard, it's 25.5, just like these guys say. Schecter needs to fix that error.

  • I have E-mailed Schecter about this, and they state that the Solo 6 Classic is 24.75" and the Solo 6 Hellraiser is 25.5".

    So who's wrong?

  • So sexyyyyyyy

  • Finally, a good player!! GREAT GUITAR...GOT 1 ON ORDER

  • this guitar does sound really well, but I wonder if it isn't just the amp ... Nah, probably not! I'm definitly gonna try this axe next time I go to my dealer! The coil tapping makes it really versatile, and the sound, the shape, the looks, gawd! Does anyone know the european prices? thanks!

  • That amp sounds unbelievably good. Schecter guitars rule also, I just picked up my second.

  • Damn the amp they are using sounds soooooo amazing, anyone knows what amp that is?

  • my guess is it's coming out of that Vox stack, which looks like a AC30 handwired head, and that cabinet looks like the Vox V212H handwired 2x12.

  • they also have a limited edition with the same body design goldtop with p90 pickups in both bridge/neck

  • how much it cost?someone know?

  • $950.00 with the hard case.

  • does this guitar bend nicely?

  • I really want this guitar

  • SH-11 and SH-1n '59? FUCK! im getting this bitch! also - killer looks!

  • With the switch down. Its in Lead and with it up its in Rythme

  • must have sunburst!!!

  • coool...

  • scott kicks ass

  • much better than whammy......

  • ya i fucking hate that guy !!!!!!

  • Now seymour duncan makes a big deal about fret board wood with their pickups. Should follow their advice or do as I want? Anyone with experience.

  • Wow! I have a Gibson SG Standard, and I like...I want this guitar n NOW!! jeje It will be cool also other color finishes for this model like Gold Top, White, and other colors besides ''black'' that I consider is a totally boring. Why invest a lot of money for a ''black'' guitar? BUY IT ANY COLOR and have fun!

  • funny i love black. i just bought a black pickguard for my strat and i'm making it all black. But hey , black is beautiful as the say. lol. but i understand your point. i like the looks of this guitar.

  • kenny hickey uses that type of guitar for seventh void great guitar he is and this guy is good nice guitar

  • I'm a die hard Les Paul lover but... I think this guitar just might be the Les Paul killer!

  • Compared to Whammy. This guy is ready for a album deal.

  • Why put a '59 model in the neck and not say Pearly Gates?

  • This guy P4WNS Wammy!

  • that is freakin hot

  • the classic has a 24' inch neck......while the hellraiser model has a 25.5 inch neck

  • No. The Schecter website is wrong. Every Solo 6 six has a 25.5 inch scale.

  • it has 25 frets? Also awesome playing!

  • No, it has 24...

25.5 is the scale length of the guitar.

  • imagine it a Zakk Wylde signature style.

  • their reviewers kick the shit out of world music supply

  • Yes they do.

  • YES YES YES!!!.... love this review 100%

world music supply is shit compared to these guys

  • Its got more of an offset body than an LP.

  • Great *****

  • That guitars pretty sweet. Tried it a while ago after it came out.

For les paul shaped guitars im considering ESP Eclipse II, Schecter Solo 6, and Gibson Les paul.

  • check out the washburn WI66. those are nice too. seymours, grovers and buzz feiten. altough the LP will sound the best most likely, they do weigh a ton. I have a classic and it's really heavy.

  • looks like a lot of fun to play

  • hows the cutaway on this??? better access than a LP?
