I am learning the language now. I will see to it that my generation be the one that makes the Irish language into the main speaking language of all Eire!
And it's true, you can learn more in 6 months than in 17 years with the archaic methods they use (or were using up to when I left school in 2005) in state schools.
The teachers were mostly lovely, and passionate about Irish, but no one ever taught them how to teach and we'd all be fluent if they only knew.
Compulsory DELTA courses for all language teachers!
