I can't tell you how many times Jesus denied the teachings and laws of Moses. "Moses told you this but I say this.." God allowed many things to happen to serve as consequences for actions. the thing that annoys me most about when people tell this story is that they always seem to say that lots wife died because she looked in the wrong direction or she was facing the wrong way, but it says that she was saddened by the fact that she would have to give up that lifestyle and looked back at the city because she didnt want to leave and thats why she was turned into salt not because she looked the wrong way

The Bible says nothing about why Lot's wife looked back. To say that it was because she was "saddened" because she didn't want to leave is completely unfounded. The Bible says nothing of the sort. This is absolutely all that Genesis says on the matter:
