I just went outside to re-fill my dogs water containers. The Weather around here on the East Coast of Australia where i am located is absolutely ridiculous, the heat is almost unbearable here in Gladstone, Central Queensland.

Anyway.. To cut a long story short in the process of re-filling the water containers i found a Cane Toad with all its legs spread out and in the water container just floating around. As ugly as it looked, the Toad did seem extemely relaxed.

I've got about a dozen of them in my freezer right now. I live in S. Fl. and they were an introduced species here. If you don't kill them they will poison your dog or your cat. I have a friend that lost her little dog because it put a bufo in it's mouth. Our big dog has put them in her mouth alot. It's a pain because you have to wash out their mouth with a hose and then they throw up everywhere for like 2 days. I hate the things.

A toads existence is not vital to Australia's eco system in fact they are the exact opposite. They are at a plague state as they carry on to multiply in record numbers. Why the cruelty? Well it isn't torture and majority would be dead instantly but there are some huge buggers that take a bit more to kill. I could cover them in acetone if you like.

the cane frog (that was introduced to kill off beetles eating sugar canes[plan failed; toads couldn't jump high enough to eat them]) they never bothered to get rid of them and let them run wild. They are populating fast and are considered a plague to some. They are screwing up the Australian habitat.

I'm personally against animal cruelty, but in the case of these frogs I don't care. Kill them off before they cover all of Australia.
