Hi mark. You asked for comments from anyone buying these clubs so here goes. I have used mizuno mx range since taking golf up seriously. Starting with 20 moving to 23 and at present mx25. I am playing off 9 (8.7) and looking for a forged club to still offer some forgiveness. I still hit my 25s fine but sometimes just a little too high. I tried ap2, Nike pro combo and Taylor made forged cb but none of them felt like my mizzy's. I am left handed which ruled out the jpx pro - although I think they
Just a quick question. I have about a 15 handicap, short game is mainly my problem. I have some X20s from callaway and have not been the happiest with them. I am looking to switch, from your videos I have gathered that I should look at the Ap2's, Mizz 800, 58,59s, Ping s56 and ansers. My question is this, I get the ball up extremely high, higher than I would like, and hit it fairly far. Which of these irons will keep my launching trajectory lowest? And is there one you prefer than the others.
These caught my eye because I'm in the market for new irons, and have played Mizuno forged irons for over 10 years and quite frankly would be reluctant to change! I've played Mizuno T-zoid pro-2's (2 sets!) and currently play with a mixed set of MP33's (7-PW) and MP30's (3-6) The 59's seem to offer what I'm looking for, the old 33's are a dream when you're striking well but aren't too forgiving on poor strikes, so ''some help'' would be appreciated. Aesthetically the 59's look beautiful!
How are the MP59's forgiveness compared to the Titleist 710 MB ? I have the MB's now, and considering switching to the MP59 but only if I can feel a significant difference in forgiveness
I got them custom fitted ..... x 100 shafts it was between these and the titleist cbs , these helped to keep the spin and launch angle down compared to a higher ball flight in the cbs
just beautiful to hit these irons. I bought the 53 s last year but was just never quite happy with those. After the 62s, the 53s feel too bulky and not as sweet as the 62s. So... here I am with the 59s. These are a great stick. They are definitely easier to hit than the 63s and whilst not quite as sweet as the 62s, are nonetheless lovely to hit. The size is basically the same as the 62s.
I was going to get a complete set of the MP 69's but I defiantly wanted some help with the longer irons. Since I have a 3 hybrid, I went with 4-6 in these and then the rest with the true blades. LOVE the 69's though.
Hey Mark, loving the review and the work your doing! Any ideas when these irons might be available? I ordered a set from Mizuno on Monday and they didn't indicate a delivery date! Love the look of the irons with that little bit of forgiveness in the back :-)
nice review as usual, i am getting some new irons and confused which to get either a set of these or the callaway raza forged, any thoughts? also any tips on how to stop attacking down on the ball as i am losing abit of distance due to this :(, thanks. :)
This has got to be the ugliest Mizuno MP iron, at least in my opinion haha. And I have a question, im looking to get a better players iron, whats the best out of these three, Mizuno MP 63, Titleist 710 CB, and Callaway Razr X Forged Blade.
I'm going to give these a try at the weekend, I tried the 58's last year and didn't like the feel, they felt too hard and bouncy (a bit like a ping iron) but they gave me technically the best numbers. I bought 52's which gave me the 2nd best number but I hit them too high due to the low center of gravity and offset.
I hit the mp 59 in the store and it converted me into a mizuno fan. I also hit the jpx 800 pro and the mp 53. The 59 feel like a blade with a little help and great feel. Its a great blend of of two worlds.
@MrPGDA yes i shave if you search them my video will show. If you get my new iPhone app you can see all my videos in easy to find categories. simply click the link in the description to see the app. Thanks for watching
@4golfonline need the phone before the app. 5% was the number given by a mizuno rep given the lab test results. I'll let you know mid to late september when I can get fitted and test all club candidates on which club made it in my golf bag.
@4golfonline Really want to see the difference in launch characteristics between the MP59 and MP53. I think many would appreciate the club comparison.
I was looking to buy the MP63, but it is not offered in lefty. This iron will provide more forgiveness than the MP63 and won't have the offset of the MP53. Basically the best of both worlds (appearance and a little help). Plus it's offered in lefty. Other reviews say it has a 5% larger sweet spot over the MP58.
If I were in the market for new irons, these are what I would buy. IMO, its a club for someone who wants blades but needs a bit of forgivness, which I think is what the titanium plug is designed to offer.
This club, IMO, gives you the look of blades but a bit of help like what a cavityback offers.
Good review, It's a nice looking iron. Looks like they place the ti insert as a filler to lighten up the center portion to shift the weight to the sides and bottom of the perimeter giving you more forgiveness and at the same time keeping the look of a muscle back blade. Great looking iron Mizuno at it's best
How do the Nike VR Pro Combo irons compare to this set?

Hi mark could you do a review on the callaway ft-9 driver thanks

i've watched several of your vids and this is the first i've seen of you hitting off grass.
curiously it sounded like a faster swing, like there was more thump.
is that a product of different acoustics or my imagination?

Coming from blades myself and these feel fantastic to me. Do you think a combo set with 59 and the 69 is workable given the specs and swingweighting?

@soon u shouldn't be at back tees if u shoot that high
