  • Where u get it

  • @jharin1 Watch the video, and you'll find out.

  • what happened to the actin figures tht actually had quality put into them....

  • it's finger missiles...

  • Which one is better, GX-31 or GX-31V? I heard that there are some issues connecting the panzer and the frigate with the former version( they say it was too tight that it might get broken?). And also, the shoulder and arms are said to be sturdier with the GX-31V. Please give a comment on these points. thanks :)

  • you should get the dvd and watch it, it's really good and you'll see how they fight with those weapons.

  • Awesome review. No worries if you don't know much about it, it's pretty funny. When the chain knuckles came in I was like "he don't hold it like that! he shoots it and it attaches to enemies!", but don't worry, it's still funny XD! Don't know why I haven't subscribed yet, ridiculous *subscribes*.

  • @bapbap043: actually it is lightning sword, the actual japanese name is Tenkuken or sword of heaven.

  • @19charizard: they have it at greenhills. Shop is called RToys, phone #(632) 584-5722. i just asked them yesterday. they have gx-31(P10.500),gx-31v(P14.500) and the original popy release(P60.000). look for robert.

  • The chain usually shoot out. As far as I could remember. I'm so envious of your voltes five robot. That is one of my favorite robot. How much u bought it and which site. If u don't mind me asking. I would really love to get a hold one of those robot.

  • i can draw voltes v like he's on the back of my hand back then

  • Which toystore did you purchased the whole set?

  • its laser sword not lightning sword

  • Vooooooooooooooolteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiv-ah!

    Awesome review! Thanks for sharing!

  • How tall is Voltes V? My dad and I are planning to get one and just wondering if it's worth it.

  • @halo3fan003 Oh it's worth it alright. Go. Buy. Now. hehehe.

  • the mechanical eagle awesome

  • The sword fist is loose because voltes' sword is two handed. It's flexible to allow the other hand to grip the rest of the hilt.

  • Wow!! its awesome wish i have that ..but it so expensive..naaaahhhh!!

  • yeah that yellow belt is for his electro magnetic top! haha.. used to watch this tv series growing up in the 90s,

  • This Voltes V toy sells for Php 11,000 when i saw it in a novelty toy shop i usually go to.

That chain thing is one of it's weapons. In the anime both fist retract and lauches chain knuckles from both of them.

Wow. You even have the mechanical eagle. It has a one episode link up with Voltes V. It's one of those crisis of solving Voltes V problem of absorbing lightning and firing off Chodenji(Ultra electro magnetic) balls for immobilizing enemies before slicing them V-style.

  • @betacrest10 not good .

  • @betacrest10 It's now closer to around 8-9k around the greenhills area.

  • were did you or were can i get this???

  • Tenku-Ken :-)

  • ULTRA-ELECTRO-MAGNETIC-TOP!!!

  • Nice collection, I wish I have one(but I will).

just a few notes the silver weapon inside "Lander" is actually a drill not a missile and the spinning blade is called "Electro Magnetic Top".

    LETS VOLT IN!

  • Comment removed

  • I think they should watch the anime first before they review these toys.

  • But this guy really got some good collection...

It breaks my heart too, seeing SOC treated like some Power Ranger or TF toys, their line suppose to be the best of the classic roots of all Mecha...

but, then again Im more of a SIC person :D

cant even tell the difference between GX-31 & GX-31V

  • Holy Shit! That Sword is awesome!! :D

  • I was a die-hard fan of Voltes V. ELECTROMAGNETIC TOP!!!

  • this my dream figure right here yo!

  • kainis talaga yung mga puting tinatawagan 'V'

  • Ano ba. Di nga nila alam e. Mang aaway ba naman tayo dahil di nila alam?

  • Anybody out there willing to buy my kidney for this baby? Er....J/K.

And please pardon my fellow Filipinos' rudeness. They're just TOO passionate about the anime that this cool toy came from. I'm a die-hard fan of this show myself; but I won't really go to great lengths as to pick a fight over it. Thanks for the review; now I know what Super Robot I'm gonna buy for my collection.

  • is there transfort robot such volts V in america ?.

  • It's a weapon.

  • got these GX31 and GX31V Respect for Volt in Box! Cool toys, really worth the price. Being a hard core Ultraelectomagnetic fan, can't stop staring and playing with these toys. Amazing! bring back great memories!

  • ultra, electro, magnetic robot toy of our super times!!tnx fellow!

  • huli ka pinoy!

The word ultraelectromagnetic was invented by Telesuccess, the Philippine VA company that dubbed the show English.

  • I used to watch voltes V so much in the Philippines when I was a kid.

  • where can i get this dude?? write back please! and how much?

  • The Voltes Bazooka is the robot's handgun. In the anime, it's left hand clutches the right hand like a pistol's handle, and uses the thumb of that right hand as its trigger.

  • that's the mechanical eagle...it gives voltes it's ultra electro magnetic ball before he finishes with the laser sword...you have to be familiar with the series man. XD

  • ah good times, i remember having this when i was a kid. too bad either i lost it somewhere when we moved to another house or my mom gave it away to our cousin. but man the memories, i'm wanting to get one of these stuff again as a collection and as a reminder for me and maybe show it to my kids in the future. ah the nostalgia!

  • I remember when my dad first showed me the show, I had the really old toy when I lived in the philipines but when I moved to here I almost completely forgot about it, thank you for reminding me and thank you for helping me find a new site to find toys

  • That's a decent review. I bought one about a year ago for my son. I've wanted one of this toy for so long when I was a kid growing up in the Philippines but just couldn't afford it. Its even better now to share the whole Voltes V experience with my son. Great looking toy and thanks for posting.

  • Good toys!

  • hehehe he say Voltes b

  • Also the belt is called an Ultra Electro Magnetic Top, Chain Knuckles and Voltes Missiles. Hope this helps...I used to watch it everyday when I was a Kid.

  • Dude they call they call it the Voltes Bazooka and Laser sword.

  • fuck i want one lol

    its so cool

  • your hella dumb voltes v is the same as voltes five v is for short asshole

  • Combattler V pronounces V as the letter- Voltes V pronounces V as the Roman numeral 5.

  • there is so many wrong things about this review personally, I mean you dont even know how the chain knuckles work, and the red jet falcon it never combines with voltes v it's just there for display

man this review sucks, you guys don't even know voltes v inside out

  • i give this video a thumbs up...

  • i bought my voltes v at greattoys myself but in greenhills...i'd really like to congratulate you on this cool video of voltes v...for a hobbyist like me i do appreciate alot...hoping to watch more videos from you :)

  • Got mine last week for 7,800 pesos at greattoys in taft avenue manila branch.Beautiful toy!

  • This toy will cost you P15,000 pesos as of April 26, 2008. Its in every SM malls in the country and most Hobby Shops. I'm sure it will cost more in the future. So to all the Filipino fans...get one now if you can. As for that famous Voltes V catchphrase... "Let's Volt In"!!!!!

  • Do you have a Daimos one? I'd love to see a transforming Daimos.

  • SOC Daimos will be released on September 08.

  • voltes v vintage toy for sale at my site.

  • 13,335.00 Yen = 5,161 Phil. Pesos = 144.00 Australian dollars which cost me last 2007 ( very good price ). That's how much I bought mine's when I visited my cousin in Osaka. You have to go to Nippombashi Osaka "DenDen Town" - the heart of tech town - 5 blocks long, a day is'nt enough to go through all the shops, it'll drive you { happy } mad if you love all things tech.

  • This was probably the most famous robot show in the 70's ( back home in Manila anyways ) was even made into a full lenght movie, shown in the theaters and made heaps of money. If you actually watch this cool and cheesy compared to today's anime, it's got a very serious story about 3 brothers ( good ) and another one turned baddie. Cool toy, fantastic anime.

  • I want to buy that toy VOLTES V by BANDAI. Do we have that here in the Philippines? At least I want to have that toy as part of my collection of Anime Robots shows back in 1977 when I was a kid (Grade 1). Watched that movie, really its awesome!

  • yeah its pronounced voltes 5

  • so what if e doesn't know the exact name and functions of the weapons.. as he'd mentioned, he's not a fan of the show, that means, he never watched it. at least he had the intelligence to that awesome review. ciao!

  • This is a good toy review. I'm a huge fan of the series and I'm just glad CollectionDX was nice enough to put some effort into sharing this spirit of chogokin toy with us - even if he didn't know that the belt is no mere belt but an electromagnetic top.

  • People!! He's reviewing the toy and not the show, alright??! I know the toy's incarnation came from the show but that's beyond the point. The review is about the toy!

And for pete's sake, it's just a friggin toy!

Cut him some slack, will you?!! Geezz!!

  • yoi! did u even watch the series u dont know what that robot is capable of lol

  • wish i have that one, in philippines it is so expensive its 10k plus equivalent to one celphone. I love Voltes V! I have Mazinger Z Soul of Chogokin, much cheeaper than Voltes V. I really love it!

  • its a classic toy. in asia it was so expensive so kip the box for value

  • I don't remember Voltes V's sword FOLDING out from the hilt. Why couldn't it have been pulled out straight like in the show? ^_~

  • It's physically impossible to have the sword "pulled out straight like in the show". It might be possible to have a telescoping sword, but it might look ugly.

  • That was a Great Review man. I watch and enjoy all your other reviews, but I was wondering can you do a review for the GX-13 Dancouga, GX-03 Combattler V, or GX-23 Zambot3

  • Need help for Voltes V, go ask any Filipino out there, namely me.

  • review is ok. dude, take time out to watch the cartoons. You'll appreciate it more, you're holding a gem in your hands there. my brother used to have one of those, japanese metal die-cast circa 1978. as with all beloved toys, they get played and pounded to the ground to the last ounce

  • haha! ok guys, relax. go get a long drag. im a huge fan of the series, so i understand the evident lack/absence of his knowledge on the significance of the sword of heaven, mechanical eagle, panzer drill, etc. go easy on the guy will ya? he is a toy collector & this y2006 toy box set is an excellent piece that he was jst happy about!

now for the rest of us hard core voltes v fan who want the same piece, few remaining pieces here in asia, and the price has doubled since its release! cheers!

  • Great review, I'll look at picking one up to add to my collection later.

The comments from the tv show fans blow me away. Don't deserve to own the toy? Clueless? Since when that is a criteria to purchase a toy? People are getting worked up over a japanese cartoon that is obscure in North America. What do you expect? I buy SOC for the engineering that goes in the toys, I have no interest in the shows or the source material.

  • are you clueless? i know your not familiar so watch the fucking anime. it's not lightning sword. true lightning strikes the sword and it's powered up. but Tenku Ken fucking means. Sword of Heavens. dweeb!!!!

Jeez if you said Lazer Sword wouldn't care. but it's not lightning sword.

  • Pathetic! You bought the toy and you don't know shit about Voltes V and you have a review for it? you don't deserve this toy.

  • AWESOME TOYYYYY I WANT ONE!!!

  • i have a 3ft hieght of voltes v same model! love it!

  • i have a 3ft voltes v same model. love it!

  • he sounds like he doesnt know much about VV...he said voltes vee...lolz

  • The Soul of Chogokin line is great. I have a Mazinger Z. They're nice to pose and animate. I wish I had that Voltus V to animate the Volt-in scene.

    Great craftsmanship....love those Japanese !!

  • Voltes V has some pretty cool weapons. But I was more impressed with the collectionDX goldlightan review. I have never seen a toy like it.

  • hey we have the same toy its a collectors item very cool and this is my fav. cartoon ever the best robot!i think u should watch the whole episode on youtube..thanks man u like voltes 5

  • I would like to thank CollectionDX for dedicating his Soul of Chogokin Voltes V video. You've just talked me into buying my own Voltes V toy. Thanks again!

  • its voltes V i tought it was Voltes 5 for 5 robots etch volting in

  • "V" means "5" in Roman Numerals, genius..

  • me like you like you long time

  • Great! I'm loving these video reviews! Would have been good to see the articulation though (like knee, elbow, shoulder, etc).

  • thanks for the Vid!! I can't wait for mine.

  • Great review! The good thing about this review is the guys comentary. Good humor. And it really doesn't matter that he doesn't know the full history on Voltes. When you buy a car, it's pretty insignificant that you know the history behind it. A car is a car and you drive it, a toy is a toy and you play with it.

  • There is also a key-chain souvenir for non-Japan version. I got my set from abroad for about $155. Can't wait for SOC 32 to come out. Gold Lightan rocks!!

  • Awesome!

  • TLC in handling Voltes V! You know nothing about Voltes V...

  • I know it is a toy, and toys should be played with ;-)

  • Hi there, I agree, toys should be played with. That's why I'm building my anime collection. I wish I had a computer camera so that I could show you my korean knockoff of Voltes V made by Kang Nam Model. I just bought that on Dec of 2005 off of Ebay. It's all plastic and is very cheesy. I just couldn't resist getting it for my toy museum.

  • Like I said on the board, good job on your first video review. You were a bit too rough on GX-31 though when you were voltig him back in but overall good job!

  • his name isnt volt

  • WOW!
