I also like the suggestion that, even though everyone gets to the same place at the same time, the "main guy" would rather do it his own way; he would rather exert himself for no particular advantage just to be moving at his own pace. Particularly the scene where he boards the bus, and everyone takes out their phones; the music is distressed and you can feel the claustrophobia.

Summary- Im guessing its suppose to teach you to be patient... Notice how when he runs up a flight of stairs because he thought it was taking to long to get upstairs, the people he was in there with got there as soon as he arrives. Meaning, being patient can get you to a place like upstairs quickly instead of being impatient and running up 12 floors or something even though the elevator got there at the same time as you... I hope thats what this is trying to tell us... Reminds me of... me :O
