This is awesome!!!. If your wings dont flap try pulling up and back on the tail instead of just pushing it down.

It's a petal fold, they're kind of tricky for beginners, at least it was for me. Search for that and there should be a video dedicated to it.

I didnt know that was how you flapped the wings - I saw it on another website that was wrong. This makes much more sense!
