  • Holly fuck...so so so so beautiful.

  • Byork 2 ¿? WTFK

  • It's about the death of her best friend. If you have the album, look at the lyrics booklet and Joanna has handwritten a note in the corner of the first page. The butterfly on the album cover is actually a Cosmia moth.

  • Incredible voice

  • Just perfect..

  • this song is genius. I'm really blown away. Listened to milk eyed mender 3-4 years ago and haven't checked her new stuff. It's so different and so experimental. My compliments to your talent, Joanna.

  • I can't decide if her voice is beautiful or horrible either way it's incredible

  • @shauno5166 I agree; it's almost childish...and it's beautiful in some odd way.

  • Annoying bitch like Blöök

  • This totally sounds like a Bjork song.

  • @Envee211 Couldn't be farther apart in my opinion.

  • Her harp playing is so beautiful.

  • STOMP FLAMING! YOU ALL MADE JOANNA CRY

  • This is much better than her old stuff in my opinion, she is using her voice in a much more healthy way (her old technique... that many people defended far too aggressively....... resulted in her injuring her throat) Well done to JN for taking the time to save her throat and improve her voice

  • Chills. Everywhere... Oh god, chills...

  • @xdavidxGR i have some thoughts on this, but is there any way to know for sure, and sometimes i feel like i really don't understand it.:/ the only part i don't fully get is: Beat our duck's hearts, singe our flower wings

But in the corner, somethin's happenin'

Wild cosmia - what have you seen?

Water were your limbs, fire was your hair

See the moonlight caught your eye

And your rose through the air

    Well if you see true light, then this is my prayer, oh;

Will you call me when you get there?

  • @killiotta1

Seems to me like Cosmia is a personification of the sun (/daylight/lifetime). She's at night writing a letter to the daytime past.

"beat our duck hearts/singe our flower wings": sun's energy gives us our fragile beauty, which it can also damage.

"see the moonlight caught your eye and you rose through the air": Sunlight attracted to moonlight, can forever chase it but will never catch up.. it's very presence dispels that which it desires (=aspects of self.. own reflected light)

  • @RetrogradeInfinity oisajsd I hope that's what the song means because that interpretation is gorgeous

  • @RetrogradeInfinity NO. You are not worthy to interpret her songs. NO. STOP IT. NO.

  • @hadeninae Totally not a dick comment, no way. From what I've read this is a personal interpretation of events that happened to her, but it'd be almost impossible to discern that without researching it. Give them a break, it was a very interesting take on what could have been the meaning.

  • @hadeninae .....erm pretentious much...... if someone wants to inpterpret they are allowed to... you are not the music appreciation police

  • @crystalwillow you should lurk more. Nobody's nice on the internet.

  • @hadeninae well it just seems I broke the taboo, you could choose not to be rude to people.... it is an option....

  • @crystalwillow You could also choose to take a joke and not walk around with a pole up your ass. You know, it's quite comfortable without one. Loosen up, babe.

  • @hadeninae oh sorry I didn't realise you were joking.... in future to avoid confusion... try making your jokes funny....

  • @crystalwillow Because a minority has influence on the majority.
