  • i like that useing a 6.2 hauling that size of load !

  • @454powerchevy oh yea, i haul all sorts of big loads with this ol girl. well i did untill i bought my 95 dodge 3/4 ton. then the ol screamin jimmy got turned into a daily driver/ offroader. just needs a lift and bigger tires and a tranny rebuild right now.

  • 16,500 pounds. Not bad for a half ton, not bad at all.

  • Ahhh the good old steering wheel.....

  • i won a 97 sierra 3500 dually with a 6.5 .... she has just over 750 000 kms on it she may have less power than a new duramax or cummins or powerstroke but lets haul 6 thousand pounds down the highway and see who makes it farther on a tank a fuel you ignorant fucks.... when your POS 1997 powerstroke or cummins runs outta fuel ill give you a ride home in my truck.... ignorant fucks......

  • You need a set of ultimate rails -

    ultimaterails com

  • what the mpg on the 6.2s 16 mpg?

  • @mccrackenphillip over 20 most of the time.

  • Nice truck. I really want to find a 73-79 Chevy or GMC truck. Dont care what engine cause id end up putting a 6.2 in it. Didn't realize how big of a load it was until the picture at the end. Another question , a little of topic, but do you know the name of the song. it sound familiar but cant remember the name. thanks.

  • @danraich i think its beautiful sound. no idea who its by. sorry.

  • @6030diesel How is the power on that engine, I hear alot of people complaning about the lack of power. I know those engines were built for fuel efficency, Is it really that bad or are these people just used to new diesels with all the torque.

  • @danraich stock they have no balls at all. but now with my turbo, and 6.5 mech injection pump and injectors it really rips.

  • At 6030 diesel... I reckon so lol.... Your trucks sweet though man I'm looking at a 6.2 Right now it's naturally aspirated though but it's 3/4 Ton 4x4 with a utility bed so can't beat it.. I might look into doing the 6.5 turbo swap deal... How old are you?

  • @SmokeyandtheBandit77 3/4ton 4x4 is gonna be nice. the 6.5 turbo swap is fairly straight forward if you buy all the 6.5 parts you can (injectors, manifolds, upper and lower intake manifold pieces).

  • Arxc600 did your mommy buy you your 05 cummins? Your spoiled thinking your cool cause you drive a new truck...these trucks are mechanical and take actually work to get more power out of unlike your commonrail that you can plug a computer chip into and get more power yah it's cool but nothing is as good or as reliable as a mechanical diesel... Like the 6.2's or a 12 valve cummins

  • @SmokeyandtheBandit77 i bet him and his mommy pitched in to buy it lol.

  • @SmokeyandtheBandit77 ok lets go on the interstate and drive beside each other pulling a trailer and see who gets farther before a breakdown. then ill load up the piece of shit 6.2 and pull it to the junk yard. maybe get like 5 bucks for it. Oh yeah i bought my own pickup....pussy

  • I'd like to try that in my 1500...Who cares if its slow...its a fucking 4wd diesel!!!

  • nice truck

  • got an 83 with the 3.2 and granny 4 speed... yea she wont get up to speed to fast but for getting 22mpg in an 83 dually and still pull logs on the weekend ya cant beat it for the simplicity

  • shoulda put one in the bed.... that woulda got you the weight you needed

  • I used to have that tranny in my truck, didnt really like it, it wasnt geared right to fast, i like old granny low 4 speed better. But i got the same setup without a turbo 6.2. Toby steve

  • if you need parts check me out at ....ipartcarsDOTcom

  • @iPartCarsDOTcom will do, thanks.

  • I can say the 6.2 has no balls. Its in 4 low anything can pull that 5 mph in 4 low. do you know it has 143 hp maybe a little more then 200 tq. 6.2 is not for pulling. It is for the junk yard. All you chevy people are the same. Think your junk is gold. Chevy hasnt made a Heavy duty pickup worth more then trash untill the duramax.

  • @arxc600 my 6.2 has balls now. so what it was a little underpowered. it was designed in the 80's without a turbo whoopdee shit! a 6.9 IH only has more power because it is bigger. a cummins had power because its a fucking tractor engine in a pickup. what kind of shit do you run? ford? oh my god that ford is gonna run circles around my GMC i could care less, my truck runs and runs good so unless your going to stop trashing my truck and everyone else with a 6.2 on youtube i say FUCK OFF.

  • @6030diesel hahaha. it is still underpowered. You honestly think it has balls now. You must have never driven a cummins or duramax. Or powerstroke. I have a 05 HO cummins. I just like to see if people are dumb enough to think that there is 6.2 good. You said nobody can say the 6.2 doesnt have balls. But I used to use one to haul a stock trailer. GARBAGE. TURD POWER

  • @arxc600 i have driven that 95 cummins that I tuned for him. it really pulls good. i understand there are better diesels with more power. i still prefer the simplicity of the 6.2 over any other diesel. sure it takes a while to get up to speed and takes some throttle to keep it there but it gets the job done for what i need it to do so theres nothing wrong with that.

  • @6030diesel His truck needs balls because he hasn't got any.

  • @Flyboy207 exactly. and both my trucks got em :D

  • Comment removed

  • @arxc600 and that 05 is how new? get a clue dude, your 05 cummins is 20 years newer.... and i bet doesnt last 20 years without a catastrophic faliure....

  • @6030diesel good trucks

  • @6030diesel

I like the old, simple diesels... pre-powerstroke IH, Cummins (mechanical), and 6.2-6.5 GM (detroit) diesels.

Sure they don't have the power of the new HO cummins, the Duramax, or the Powerstroke, but the old diesels aren't the emissions and electrical nightmare the new ones are.

  • @arxc600

You really are a retard, aren't you? No diesel had "balls" until the mid 90's... All of them had half the power they have now, so sitting there trying to shit on a 25 year old diesel for "not having balls", when none of them had balls makes no sense. And 25 years of reliable military service is pretty impressive for an engine with "no balls", fool.

  • @arxc600 mine has 155 hp and about 300 someting tq

  • @arxc600 are you that retarded? you're comaring this truck to trucks that are 20years newer? do you know why the diesel companys started making more torque in their engines? because thats what the people wanted. and lets see your truck when its 25 years old hauling 11, 1500lb round bails through an alfalfa field. it wont be as good as you think. now get back in your cummins and make yourself feel good by making loud noises and going fast you ignorant fuck.

  • @TheTractorJake This guys says in his video, "nobody can say a 6.2 doesnt have balls now", well yeah i can because they are gutless pieces of shit. I see that you are a chevy retard that likes junk also. so you guys just keep working on all your junk keep it barely running. gives me something to laugh about.

  • @arxc600 you are one hell of an ignorant fuck. find a diesel of the same time period that was "good" in your standards. i dare you. GM pretty much was leading the way, because they were the first company to design, and build a diesel engine, and yes, i know, the 6.2 was made by detroit, but GM owned it. and my chevy runs fine, thank you. how will yours run at 40 some years old??? dont bash my '67, because it was pretty much the foundation for 4 wheel drive pickups today. asshole.

  • thetractorjake. No ford leads the way buddy. Chevy really proved that when Obama saved them. Gm doesnt lead the way in diesels and never have. im saying they shouldnt have made these pieces of shit. Gas motors kicked these 6.2s asses. Your opinion means nothing anyway....because your opinion is wrong hahaha. Your chevy sucks. stop making videos of it. well go ahead just makes me laugh. im not ignorant i just cant stand it when you retards talk about how it has this 6.2 has balls.

  • @arxc600 was ford the first car company to design their own diesel, buddy? i dont give a shit about your ford, and i hate owners like you, who think their ford is king of the road. sorry to say, but its just another pickup. it doesnt matter whats under the hood, or what emblems on the front, as long as it gets the job done.

  • @arxc600 Shut the hell up, its always the ford people talking shit about other truck companys. Ford wasnt that much better than Chevy or Dodge they just to a gamble and decided not to take a bailout. Ford trucks are the best selling full sized pickups, thats because they dont last anymore. Chevy pickups are they Longest Lasting Most dependable trucks on the road. I think id rather have dependability that sales.

  • @danraich you respond like a pussy....

  • @arxc600

Dude a truck is a truck. in the mid 80's do you know a truck that could pull that load easily? through a field for the most part. You lemme know a truck that can pull this shit through a field fighting the load and keeping traction. Ha im a chevy fan and I have always been into cars. I just got a chane to buy a 6.2 k5 so im lookin at vids. And well idk maybe fords trucks are better. But i tell ya ass something. There cars aren't. I dont give a shit wat a ford man says.

  • @Jstock1225 yeah anthing with a 454, 460, 440, or a cummins back then.

  • I like you style man.

  • yep thats a chevy or GMC. pulls like a beast! just like my truck cept mines a 77 2500. great trucks

  • yea it does pull like a beast. wish it was a 1 ton not a half ton but whatcha gonna do?

  • Hey or should I say "HAY"!!! that's a Big load for a half ton. Great truck!! I got a1990 v3500 1 ton 4x4 I use for hauling bales check it out at Winnipeg Kijiji ad # 174282884 enjoy your ride!!!

  • What kinda gearing ya got on that beast??

  • i think 3.73 rear end and front end and a 2.71 4lo ratio and i was in 2nd gear for most of that

  • Ohhh, that's why it's gutless with no turbo. My 7.3 has 4.10 rear, very slow but tough truck :D Yours is only a half ton thought, but still, that's damn good gearing being a half ton truck! Good enough fer a farm truck.

  • i like the 3.73's overdrive will let you run along at a sane RPM while doing 120 km/h and if i need the grunt i throw it in 4 lo first gear and can either pull it or spin out but forsure not run short of power with that much reduction

  • cool. did the engine get very hot?

  • amazing enough no it didnt. it stayed right on 95*C and the engine oil temp never got over 160*F for more than a minute i was very astonished that it kept cool on a 35*C day and not going very fast so the fan had to do all the cooling and it did so now i know it can

  • cool. just let it run for a bit to let it cool off befor you turn it off.

  • oh i sure did. now that i have a turbocharger for it ill have to let it cool off before i shut it off all the time so i dont get oil coking inside the turbo

  • farm trucks rock

  • hell yea

  • they rock becaues you can beat the living crap out of it and they will run forever

  • im not gonna do that to this truck since its my daily driver

  • WOW!! What a load! I'm Ford man, but my Dad is a GMC Diesel man. I like them both!

  • right on man!!! showin a real good down home farm truck at work!!! by the way i took my mufflers off awhile ago and these things sound mean straight piped. plus i actually felt more power too, or was that me and the skinny pedal? lol

  • i think it was a mixture of the noise your thoughts and the fact that its just damn cool!

  • wow that's a heavy load! can't wait to get a GM 6.2L v8 diesel myself.

  • yea that bugger spun out in 4wheel drive so its got some good tourqe cant wait till i get my straightpiped stacks on there.

  • thats a great sight there at the end

  • thanks its my new desktop backround
