  • what the hell is matt doing here? the drum track here is by steven popcorn adler..!!!

  • they put the song on the UYI album 1991... it didn't fit on the AFD album in 1987 ..they say the AFD ablbum was more rock n' roll so the didnt't put don't cry on it ... don't cry is a full ROCK song... i don't know that's what they sey

  • @sasho1810

They didn't need mor ballads on AFD, they had sweet child, but it was actually november rain that was supose to be there, not don't cry

  • so they allready played this song back in 1987 but they released it in 1991 why?

  • cause i guess they thought it didnt fit with appetite for destruction. and it doesnt really. and apparently axl said he wanted to save atleast one good song for the next album

  • at the time Appetite was released they already had You could be mine, November rain, Yesterdays, Knocking on Heavens door, Back Off Bitch and possibly some more

  • Yeah man... but they knew when and how to release them.. and it worked out.. perfectly... like everything they did/do.

  • you could be mine back off bitch november rain and dont cry was suppose to be apepetite i did a biography on them

  • yes, Don't Cry was the first song they wrote!

  • dood ur forgetting alot of songs as well as yesterdays, knockin on heavens door, coma

  • knockin on heavens doors was written by bob dylan. they just did a badass cover.

  • haha i know that but it recorded as a demo to end up on appetite instead of anything goes

  • they didnt have to really pick between the two. thats just how it happend. you a member of any of the gnr forums?

  • ur forgeting mr.brownstone, rocketqueen, anything goes dumb ass

  • wtf are you talking about retard?

  • fick dich

  • @vk628 . If I was a producer of that album and in the record company I would of put "Dont Cry" right after "sweet child' O' Mine. and for 1 reason.. Because, at that time alot of band had rock ballads and this song jsut blew all of them other hair metal bands right out of the water... It would of been great. Have you seen the club videos of this song from 1986???

  • @thatsitfuckit I would like to see the videos. you have the link?

  • @vnsbigao . just search guns n' roses concerts in 1986.. or just search dnt cry live at the roxy.. they have several different show's. badass

  • @thatsitfuckit The only reason i fell that your wrong is you don't want to blow you load on one album . If your a great writer or can right a great song . You want to save all your great song for more than one album.

  • @thatsitfuckit Love the song. Love Appetite. That said, this song would not have fit with the other songs on Appetite. Besides, Appetite had it's ballad (Sweet Child O' Mine)/ And no way they put back to back ballads on an album like that

  • awesome
