this reminds me of the first house I moved in to. it was low rent, by a plywood factory. On Thursdays the house was uninhabitable due to the fumes of the factory. I played N64 til my thumbs fell off. My roomate had this on vinyl, we played it constantly until it got warped by the hot Australian sun. Those were good times.
good stuff ! Remember reading about this lot in Select magazine back in 1996 + hearing ( I think it was this song ! ) on a listening post in Virgin Megastore. Good straight-forward band; nice cultural reflection
Reminds me of college days, friend of mine Andrew lent me goosefair, what a diamond in the rough...what a great album. Andie if you out there man bless you.
I used to love China Drum saw them at reading festival in 1996 they were fucking amazing live! This was one of my favourite albums of all time when I was in sixth-form.
Great post thanks for sharing! I also just listened to Sparklehorse "Someday i'll treat you good" is taking me back 15 years! Scary how time flies :(
It's mad seeing this video, I still lession to you guys. MP3 now. It takes me right back to my College days. Thanks for adding this video to You Tube.
i fell in love with them back in 1998 when self made maniac came out, never had the chance to catch them live cuz i was all the way living in paris... they should do a VH1 special coverage over this band... songs are just amazing, love this band till today !
I remember the day China Drum split and John Peel announced it on Radio 1. He played Wuthering Heights as a tribute to them, it was the 1st time I ever heard China Drum and I fell in love! I cannot believe I only found out about them after. They are amazing every song they do is BRILLIANT!
Goose Fair is the most criminally under-rated album ever and this is among the stand out tracks - ALL the tracks on the album stand out. Punk pop perfection.
@AFCWimbledonPhil couldn't have said it better mate, i rate fall into place and biscuit barrel up there with the best from descendents, all, snuff, etc. many thanks to the uploader for this clip.
Great tune, got it from Premiership Years 1997. Liverpool vs United game at Anfield, James' blunders!

The greatest hit that never was. Proof that most people are idiots. Perfect song, great album, phenomenal band. If you saw them live, lucky you.
