ya women always get good treatment. say for instance a county jail i had been to. i did a few weeks or watever came out and a girl that had also been to that county jail told me they get pillows. and she asked if i had got one. im like hell naa we didnt get no damn pillows! just little shit like that. women get more yard time etc.

It's because of sexism TOWARDS women. It always backfires.

Women are deemed as being more fragile, more emotional unstable, more dependent on others for security, etc. Thus, they are given better treatment because of these gender-related assumptions (which aren't always true). I once heard a quote: "women are DEEMED inferior, but TREATED as superiors." They get better treatment and almost everything is in their favor because people fear "exploiting," their assumed weaknesses.

@lovelyladynostalgic True but if woman TRULY want equality they will have to throw away these rewards and live life EQUALLY There is very little sexism towards woman nowadays in fact it has gone the other way. I am a firm believer in true equality and this means equal pay AND equal consequences for similar behavior in the work place, courts, in family law when it comes to parenting etc. Sexism is a two way street and all men and woman need to grow up accept responsibilities and move on.

@bmxkid506 What should really get you is the fact woman dont go to prison for the same crimes. If you and a woman were convicted of the same crime she would likely get a conditional sentence or the minimum while you would likely get a jail a term in the middle or high end of the years or months or whatever the crime calls for. Its pure and utter and bullshit. I have seen woman's prisons here in canada with TENNIS COURTS FUCKING TENNIS COURTS!

It still is a prison, the freedom is taken away, and its not a good thing, I don't care how good they are treated or what it may soung like,( which I don't believe) it's still a prison and the inmates are criminals, men or women.
