I own an Audi A6 and it is re-assuring to see that the passenger cabin retained it's shape while the front end absorbed the impact. Great view of how well the drivers airbag works too. A friend of mine had a bad head on a few years ago - the last thing he remembers about the crash was the steering wheel wrapping around his forehead (old car with no airbags). He is so lucky to be alive.
FUCK BMW... I want a Luxury car that stands out!!! And a luxury car that when you actually see it, you don't just glance back the second time.. But you Stare at it's beauty.. AUDI FOR LIFE!!
Audi is like a kid who was picked on when he was young.. And grew up to be very successful than all the people that made fun of him (BMW Mercedes).. Because it's so true.. The media is saying that Audi has the best looking cars out of BMW and Mercedes.. FACT!!
@Demineralize You still cant spit all over the BMW like that. BMW has a long tradition. And so does Mercedes. BMW , Mercedes and Audi are so close together today that no matter which car you buy, they feel almost the same...because they are in essence the same cars just in a slightly different package. They are all excellent and its not possible to which one is the best.
@derbigpr500 oh dont get me wrong.. i love BMW.. but i do not like the drivers.. it's like as soon as they touch the steering wheel they act cocky and have brain damage.. lol.. but one thing i 110% agree with you is your honesty.. no homo dude.. But i love you.. lol.. bcuz you just put a good image in my head and that totally makes sense.. respect!
I don't know if other cars have this, but audi's engine is designed to go underneath the car and it's chained to its front panel. So when u have a front hit, audi's engine goes underneath the car and pulls the front panel to front so the ppl inside are safe.
Man that's just stupid idea to ruin the car who cares how your car will look after crash........you won't be able to do after 60 mph so that is just wasting money.......
@eugenesupra777 Nah, you're stupid. Sorry but its true. If you dont understand the purpose of these tests, then dont watch videos, and dont post stupid comments.
@samtraildk Well maybe for u because u are a rich dude, when you are 19 years old with no job, living in Balkans with wars all around and with average wages around 250 Euro,u don't see very often this kind of cars in Macedonian roads so yeaah it's a fucking expensive car ;)
I crashed my S4 (1997) at 160km/h. I hitted ditch wall with that speed. Thank God i was wearing a seatbelt. I had only a scrach at my knee after that crash, but the car was totalled, except the cabin. So "I think BMW is better" comment is bullshit, i've died in beemer

It's makes for expensive repairs - but it is safer for passengers. Nothing can be done to make it so that no one dies. Somethings are just unfortunate. The best thing to do when driving fast is make sure that you have no loose objects in the car to hurt you if it flies around during a crash.
I am American and I can say that he is just a retard. Most of us aren't like that. Hell, you have Ken Livingston, so you know what I am talking about. Some people are just screw ups. Haha.
You should use, almost all world uses km/h system. USA should change their miles to kilometers. It's funny when you say that you are driving for example 90mph, it's sound so slow. 90mph is about 145km/h.
The Volvos and the Ford Panther based vehicles are the safest cars in America. The IIHS is being sued by several organizations for being biased towards German autos and certain motorcycles over others.
hydrosonic - what test are you referring to? Over the past several years - Audi's and Acura's have better safety ratings than Volvo. Whether insurance or government - in Europe and America. Those are the facts. Volvo is still safe - but they can't live off the legacy of formerly being safest.
Lol willytrouble... you got rated down for saying Volvo is the safest vehicle brand.
Come on guys.. I also like german cars a lot but if you're honest you know Volvo's are safer. Audi, Mercedes, BMW.. all of them are incredibly safe but Volvo has the crown.
Don't be a fanboy. Mercedes, BMW and Audi do a lot of things (much) better than Volvo like interior build quality and materials, performance and even consumption.. but when it comes to safety Volvo is better.
Volvo is probably the safest brand, but many Audi's, Mercedes, BMW's, and even Honda's have gotten plenty of IIHS top safety pick awards. Not just Volvo

yeah it's not just america like are making volvo.sweden was the first country making volvos they america asked sweden if they allso can do volvos sweden said yes. And know they say that ford is a safer car then volvo but thats nor true/Look at the crash test of ford and compare to volvo.
iv'e seen ford focus crash test, ford mustand and ford pickup none of them i safer that volvo i've alredy looked. If you whant look at volvo xc90 crash test or volvo v70
you seeing some of crash videos here on the Youtube doesn't mean much.
Ford buying volvo for safety and platform was straight from the Ford exec. Volvo was bought in 1999 and tech went straight to ford. want to compare pre-1999 ford and volvo?
Yea, you're right about one thing. after ford took over volvo, now they don't make stunning cars anymore.
well, every car company bought by americans were ruined.
the youtube crash test is very important they showing whats happening do eatch car when they crash.i don't care if ford buying volvo or volvo buying ford. volvo still has the best results
videos don't tell everything, i repeat. Read a report of EuroNCAP test or something. It gives you detailed impact rating/force on Many areas. Again, what seemed to be normal on video, failed in the test/impact results=happened to some korean cars.
that's not what i was trying to say, was i? i used korean crap as an example to tell you what you see in the video is not everything. read a detailed report instead. btw, i wouldnt call japanese cars 'suck', they have better cars than us.
The real engineering safety feat is the car has so many high tech problems chances are small you will ever be in an accident as its sits in the shop, now thats german engineering
shut it, Germans in Europe are known for their competence and for building really reliable cars. You on the other hand probably can't even afford a car like this.
Ya Im just an poor aerospace engineer. Just check out the resale values of these cars if you think they are reliable. I love Audis I will buy an A8 one day, sexy they are but reliable they are not!

You must live in Europe. Let me put it this way: Here in the U.S., German cars are known for their ability to empty the owner's wallet in terms of repairs. My '05 E-class is in the shop every 2 weeks with issues here and there, and I'm sick of it. Finally switched to a Lexus GS350 and bingo, no more bugs. So much for "superior German engineering".
Jonaton76 is not only gay but knows nothing about cars. BMW's made in the US hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
Typical american thinking the world ends at its borders. Hey dickwad...the majority of the euro brands sold in the US are all imported. Fuck you couldn't expect detroit to build a car to the same levels of quality found in bm/merc & audi you dumbass!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Padros, sorry to spoil your fun, but I work in the car export business and YES, alot of German and Japanese cars are actually assembled in the USA. Mercedes for exampla, and Acura, and Toyota, and Mazda. That is a fact, i have personally seen those makes with a US sticker in the door frame.
luckily i will be buying this car next week so my ass wont die ;)

well, that was true until Ford(americans) bought Volvo and dumbed it down. Now, it's all same, everyone caught up.
cirenow 3 years ago
yeah it's not just america like are making volvo.sweden was the first country making volvos they america asked sweden if they allso can do volvos sweden said yes. And know they say that ford is a safer car then volvo but thats nor true/Look at the crash test of ford and compare to volvo.
zghsklugha 3 years ago
zghsklugha//
ford is safer than volvo? lol.
you compare a SAFETY pioneer like volvo to a econobox ford?
one of few main reasons for ford buying volvo in the first place was to get Platform designs and safety tech.
cirenow 3 years ago
safer?hmm compare volvos crash test whith ford on youtube thnx then see
zghsklugha 3 years ago
iv'e seen ford focus crash test, ford mustand and ford pickup none of them i safer that volvo i've alredy looked. If you whant look at volvo xc90 crash test or volvo v70
zghsklugha 3 years ago
zghsklugha//
you seeing some of crash videos here on the Youtube doesn't mean much.
Ford buying volvo for safety and platform was straight from the Ford exec. Volvo was bought in 1999 and tech went straight to ford. want to compare pre-1999 ford and volvo?
Yea, you're right about one thing. after ford took over volvo, now they don't make stunning cars anymore.
well, every car company bought by americans were ruined.

the youtube crash test is very important they showing whats happening do eatch car when they crash.i don't care if ford buying volvo or volvo buying ford. volvo still has the best results

i'd rather see the results of test results rather than youtube videos. Videos don't tell you all the details.
yes, volvo has one of best results. Ford is good too, since they borrowed much of volvo technology.
cirenow 3 years ago
you know that videos tell mutch to it shows what happends
zghsklugha 3 years ago
zghsklugha//
videos don't tell everything, i repeat. Read a report of EuroNCAP test or something. It gives you detailed impact rating/force on Many areas. Again, what seemed to be normal on video, failed in the test/impact results=happened to some korean cars.
cirenow 3 years ago
yeah look at the korean cars and japanise car they sucks
zghsklugha 3 years ago
zghsklugha//
that's not what i was trying to say, was i? i used korean crap as an example to tell you what you see in the video is not everything. read a detailed report instead. btw, i wouldnt call japanese cars 'suck', they have better cars than us.
cirenow 3 years ago
japanese cars maybe have alot of tecnik i their cars but they are not safe -.-
zghsklugha 3 years ago
look at the Mazda3, Mazda6, CX-7, and tell me again Japan doesn't build safe cars.
TKDWolf 3 years ago
idiot, chinese cars are crap, japanese and korean are safe X_X

Nice shock wave down the side after impact.

Just open the door and leave the car - even after an accident like this.
That's german engineering.
fratzi 3 years ago 3
The real engineering safety feat is the car has so many high tech problems chances are small you will ever be in an accident as its sits in the shop, now thats german engineering
ithicaplasma 3 years ago
shut it, Germans in Europe are known for their competence and for building really reliable cars. You on the other hand probably can't even afford a car like this.
wimpie25 3 years ago 3
Ya Im just an poor aerospace engineer. Just check out the resale values of these cars if you think they are reliable. I love Audis I will buy an A8 one day, sexy they are but reliable they are not!
ithicaplasma 3 years ago
Compared to an airbus???:D. They are reliable cars, for sure
Raune88 3 years ago
Audi reliable ? lol? is bmw reliable too...euro cars go for performance not reliability

So much for "superior German engineering".
flanker271 3 years ago
Well maybe they send all the bad ones to you cause German cars tend to last forever. Great perfomance and reliability to build on.
And yes, I'm Belgian.

wimpie25:
"Well maybe they send all the bad ones to you cause German cars tend to last forever"
They did. At the times of Golf mk1 and mk2 or Mercedes W123/W124.
These times are here no longer and will never be back. Why evaluating reality basing on that?

No BMW or Benz sold in US is coming form Germany, all cars are manifactured here in case you don't know.
jonaton76 3 years ago
That explains all.
wimpie25 3 years ago
Jonaton76 is not only gay but knows nothing about cars. BMW's made in the US hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
Typical american thinking the world ends at its borders. Hey dickwad...the majority of the euro brands sold in the US are all imported. Fuck you couldn't expect detroit to build a car to the same levels of quality found in bm/merc & audi you dumbass!

Padros, sorry to spoil your fun, but I work in the car export business and YES, alot of German and Japanese cars are actually assembled in the USA. Mercedes for exampla, and Acura, and Toyota, and Mazda. That is a fact, i have personally seen those makes with a US sticker in the door frame.
bigbougor 2 years ago
yeah dude... cars from merc/bmw/audi are made all over the world, just like other brands... but they are engineering in germany, of course :D

thats funny because american cars have neither!
