@michillin212 its int he config settings for the dock.right click the clario dock then over to configure, check animated icons then go in and set what you want them to do.
I have already tried the compizconfig settings manager, but didn´t get 3D effects and did these comands: glxinfo | grep renderdirect rendering: No (If you want to find out why, try setting LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose)
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa GLX Indirect
i have to install the drivers of my video card, maybe?
thought you of all people may be able to answer these questions
did you have any issues running compiz on the Intel 4500MHD?
I am getting a X200t tablet and I have always wanted an app where I can write on the screen in a transparent layer over the active desktop that i can annotate. So imagine playing a movie, and then running an app where i can basically paint and erase on a layer on top of the running movie.
This is badass for presentations ... people flip out.
google gadgets has a bar or you could draw one in gimp as a semi-transparent layer - that way you could use an irregular shaped vector art with colour!
why the pop song on background instead of Godsmack?

Which ubuntu do you use? Ubuntu 9.10 has new drivers included for Intel.. I have no issues with my video card.
ubuntu 9.04 has no good intel drivers but also no issues with Compiz. Maybe your video card doesn't support OpenGL.
i don't know... :)

I use Debian Lenny 5 ... and I solved the problem by:
# Aptitude install xserver-xorg-video-intel
and reconfiguring the xorg.conf:
# Vim / etc/X11/xorg.conf:
Section "Device" Identifier "Configured Video Device" Driver "intel" Option "AccelMethod" UXA "
EndSection
Ai worked all right ...... my video of Compiz will work for you

@EVILbassplayer666 where i can get this mod, dock, and effects?
lucirz 2 years ago
You can install it with Synaptic.. Search for Compiz for the Effects... and for the dock you search for Cairo-dock.
Packages i installed for the dock:
cairo-dock, cairo-dock plug-ins-data, cairo-dock plug-ins, cairo-dock-core, cairo-dock-data, cairo-dock-plug-ins-integration,
for the effects:
Compiz-fusion-bcop, Compiz, Compiz-plugins, Compiz-wrapper, Compiz-gnome, Compiz-core, python-compizconfig, Compiz-fusion-plugins-main, Compiz-fusion-plugins-extra, compizconfig-setting-manager.
