did that to my M249 a while ago, along with some real scratches and rust. Looks badass. I also made a worn job on the plastic parts. But man you did way too much of it on that M4... and even on parts that should be plastic.
And by the way, the ''gun metal'' paint gives a more realistic look.
yo thats the spring 226 rite? if so do u know where i can get some spare mags for it cuz i have this gun and i cant really fight than reload after like 20 seconds...
@EdgelessFire umm whaty me and my freinds do is play one in the chambre or my fav one mag on life but i can send u a vid to make extend mags with out reking our touching your mag if you want this to be done message me or somthing
ye man drybrushing is pretty gud but ied prefer it on certai types of guns you know like i think it would look pretty crappy if you put it on say a P90 for example but ti suits things like M4s and M16s because there like a rugged kinda gun
I had a clear crossman p50 (looks stupid) and painted it black. It looked obivously plastic. I used your video to dry brush it and it looks like very realistic metal. Is that supposed to happen?
Good video. Just want to help you with a bit of advice. Do some research as to what parts of a gun are actually metal. It'll look totally fake if the plastic parts have a worn metal look. Also, remember to use more paint on areas that would see frequent movement/make frequent contact with hand surfaces. Such as the part of the slide sitting below the frame and the magazine release button. Also, for body wear, sometimes less it more. Use less paint and fewer worn areas to enhance the effect.
Very cool bud. Nice work.

It wood look very odd.
Buy some flat black spray paint and spray paint your clear airsoft gun with that. Wait for it to dry. Then dry brush it with silver.

Oh, and remember, raised areas will wear faster than flat areas.
LupisLupine 4 years ago
Hmmmm..
Looks OK but I think it could be a bit better if there was a bit less paint used. Remember, not all parts on the M4 are metal.
I am not watching this video with sound yet, so please forgive me if you asked not to comment. :D
I could try this on my AKs reciver...
