Dude, when you Kirbycide when facing towards the center of the stage (such as in 7:11 ), press A when you pass the ledge and you will throw him beneath the stage. Its impossible for the other guy to recover from that and you can also save yourself!!

The only thing I saw in this that might be worthy of using is the U-Throw + Side B. I haven't bothered trying that yet since I'm a speed Kirby and don't like his Side B... it just isn't reliable against good players. I'll have to try it though (though only once in a match... it can be dodged).

I'd only suggest using it once or twice a match. It's unpredictable and racks up crazy damage fast.

I use Kirby quite alot and marth. Kirby is 14th on the tier list so hes good not not great. Like people are saying hes pretty much good at evrything. Although your all forgetting that hes super light weight. Your screwd if you get hit.
Strong ground and air moves, not annoying, great combo character, and great special-moves. Such as hammer and rock drop, which are strong, and Final Cutter, which should either smash the character down or away.

uhhhh NO. kirby is not the best he is actually pretty bad. so vulpixel is very good to be able to find combos as great as that with kirby. in my opinion, toon link is the best character.
Toon Link? Seriously, he is one of my 9 main characters but he is too slow in recovery. He is very hard to KO with. Are you sure he is good because you like to spam arrows, boomerangs, and grenades at people? If you do that, that means your cheap. But Toon Link is good too. Kirby is a good character because he has the best projectiles and strongest moves. I mean... he is everything. Not just that. He is hard to die with. Every move is defensive. Including the rock and hammer. Look below for why
a CPU lv 9 can learn your moviment and know the exact time you will attack , is not that simple, if you battle to much with CPU they start to get worse.
Videos of combos against cpu's are not impressive. During your bair demo, the cpu just sat there and took the hit.

They are very good "series" of moves, or "strategies", if they could be called that, but not all of these count as combos. See the reply to my own comment for an explanation.
A combo specifically indicates a timed sequence of moves which produce a cohesive series of hits. The combo requires that an initial hit connects. This hit is then followed by an often predetermined sequence of other hits, each of which leaves the opponent unable or almost unable to block or otherwise avoid the following hit(s) in the sequence.
In other words, if your opponent can "release" himself from the combo at any point in the series of moves, it doesn't count as a combo.

The problem with SMBB (and SBBM, for that matter), is multifold.
First, there is air-dodge.
Second, there is the a % damage counter, not a health bar, and different series of moves are more or less successful depending on how badly damaged your opponent is.
Third, the vast difference in all of the character's hit boxes and move sets means that what may work against one character, doesn't on many others.
What this means is that while this video is a very good showcase of one person's experiences with Kirby, it doesn't mean that all of the videos he's showing are examples of combos.
It's not the player's fault. Several times in this video, the f-throw to air-hammer combo didn't work at low damage, but then immediately worked at a higher damage. I blame the way the % damage counter works.
This Kirby player is still ridiculously amazing, and his tips are useful, and often work beautifully.
And yes, I did read the disclaimer before writing all of these comments.
I have nothing against this person or his obvious skill at Kirby, it's just my pet peeve is people referring to these as "combo" videos, when they are really not combos.
(On a side note, I think the f-throw to air hammer is a combo at above 30% damage.)

Just try all sorts of stuff, it doesn't even have to be fancy! Oh and if your a heavy framed character it takes allitle longer to get back on.
For a very short amount of time after you start to jump up from the ledge, the game still thinks that you are on the ledge. That way, even though you are out of harm's way, the opponent can't grab the ledge. The time was much longer in melee-that's where I picked up this habit. But it is hard to pull off in brawl. I still mess up sometimes by jumping up too soon, it just takes practice to get the timing right.
Well, in ffa combos are hard to pull off. I try mine all the time but I usually get hit by another character while I attempt to pull them off. My ffa game consists mostly of hammers, bricks, and f-smashes to attack the masses; and throws and spikes to pick off individual characters.
Thats like, exactly how i play lol. Cept i use up and down smashes alot too :P.
Im dying to solo someone -.-, but my freinds are hardly ever online, so im stuck fighting 2 minute matches with 4 ppl who the mojority of just spam -.-
The problem with taping a TV screen is that thick bands scroll down the screen when viewed from a camera. To get a clear picture, I took my wii's red/yellow/white cord, plugged each one into a short cable that had an "in" on each side, and hooked those three up to a 3way spitter with outs on both sides. I put the single end into my video camera and played brawl using my camera as a TV screen! Cool, huh? The hard part is having all those cables. Add 50 hours of editing and you have a Utube vid!
"Hey, a little fun fact, sucking them up with b and jumping off doesn't HAVE to be a kirbyscide, if you face away from the ledge, suck em up, then jump off, spit them out under the stage and watch them struggle as you huff and puff back onto the stage. People such as Ike and Luigi who can't go diagonal with their recovery can be spat out away from the stage and still won't recover. It's one of his cheapest, but most fun attributes."
But one thing you failed to mention which very few people seem to realize is that your up B can break out of your down B in mid air.. This makes for a great mind game with opponents.
This also means you can down B on people holding onto the edge then pull out of it at the last second using up B, but be careful of your timing (just better hope your up B manages to grab the edge). Give it a try.
you dont always have to kirbycide with the swallow just throw them under the stages like Final Destination with the a button and jump back with the remaining jumps and finalcutter
I will be happy to accept your criticism if you can show me better kirby "comboes".
Otherwise... I know that there are few real "comboes" in brawl that can be used in tounament play, but I showed some key move strings that are useful to kirby players in most other environments.
And if it will make you rest easier tonight, I'll admit that bair setup #3 could be more aptly described as an "approach techique".
(As I'm sure you know, approaches don't have to be speedy.)

1. at 0% do a f-throw,u-air,(pivot)u-tilt,b-air
2. On most characters (except floaty characters) at 0% do a d-throw,u-tilt,f-throw,hammer(side-b)
3. For the kill do a short hop,d-air(it trips them),then a f-smash at high %.

A combo specifically indicates a timed sequence of moves which produce a cohesive series of hits. The combo requires that an initial hit connects. This hit is then followed by an often predetermined sequence of other hits, each of which leaves the opponent unable or almost unable to block or otherwise avoid the following hit(s) in the sequence.
In other words, if your opponent can "release" himself from the combo at any point in the series of moves, it doesn't count as a combo.

The problem with SMBB (and SBBM, for that matter), is multifold.
First, there is air-dodge.
Second, there is the a % damage counter, not a health bar, and different series of moves are more or less successful depending on how badly damaged your opponent is.
Third, the vast difference in all of the character's hit boxes and move sets means that what may work against one character, doesn't on many others.

What this means is that while this video is a very good showcase of one person's experiences with Kirby, it doesn't mean that all of the videos he's showing are examples of combos.
It's not the player's fault. Several times in this video, the f-throw to air-hammer combo didn't work at low damage, but then immediately worked at a higher damage. I blame the way the % damage counter works.
This Kirby player is still ridiculously amazing, and his tips are useful, and often work beautifully.

I have nothing against this person or his obvious skill at Kirby, it's just my pet peeve is people referring to these as "combo" videos, when they are really not combos.
(On a side note, I think the f-throw to air hammer is a combo at above 30% damage.)

What my combo is:
F-Throw, Up-Air, F-Throw again, THEN Side-B.
Or when coming up from the edge:
Leave the egde (Press down) and the float and use your F-Air, or Up-B.
And you could possibly use a F-Throw or a Up-Throw and a Up-B at 50% or something.
Was I being a smarty-pants? Sorry, I play too much Brawl. X_x

When I try to edgehog, sometimes it works, but if my invicibility runs out and their Up B is gonna hit me, I climb up like you did, but somehow when you do it opponents don't grab the ledge, with me they do. Do you do something special or am I just a n00b?

Dont worry, your most likely not a noob...infact I dont even edgehog, its not in my style...I prefer interceptions XD
Anyways I just press "A" and you do a sort of jab and it puts you on alttle faster to...other than that, he was facing npc so their A.I. isn't high, but he did amazing :)
Just try all sorts of stuff, it doesn't even have to be fancy! Oh and if your a heavy framed character it takes allitle longer to get back on.

For a very short amount of time after you start to jump up from the ledge, the game still thinks that you are on the ledge. That way, even though you are out of harm's way, the opponent can't grab the ledge. The time was much longer in melee-that's where I picked up this habit. But it is hard to pull off in brawl. I still mess up sometimes by jumping up too soon, it just takes practice to get the timing right.

Well, in ffa combos are hard to pull off. I try mine all the time but I usually get hit by another character while I attempt to pull them off. My ffa game consists mostly of hammers, bricks, and f-smashes to attack the masses; and throws and spikes to pick off individual characters.

The problem with taping a TV screen is that thick bands scroll down the screen when viewed from a camera. To get a clear picture, I took my wii's red/yellow/white cord, plugged each one into a short cable that had an "in" on each side, and hooked those three up to a 3way spitter with outs on both sides. I put the single end into my video camera and played brawl using my camera as a TV screen! Cool, huh? The hard part is having all those cables. Add 50 hours of editing and you have a Utube vid!

"Hey, a little fun fact, sucking them up with b and jumping off doesn't HAVE to be a kirbyscide, if you face away from the ledge, suck em up, then jump off, spit them out under the stage and watch them struggle as you huff and puff back onto the stage. People such as Ike and Luigi who can't go diagonal with their recovery can be spat out away from the stage and still won't recover. It's one of his cheapest, but most fun attributes."

Hey not bad! I main blue Kirby to :)..
But one thing you failed to mention which very few people seem to realize is that your up B can break out of your down B in mid air.. This makes for a great mind game with opponents.
This also means you can down B on people holding onto the edge then pull out of it at the last second using up B, but be careful of your timing (just better hope your up B manages to grab the edge). Give it a try.

you dont always have to kirbycide with the swallow just throw them under the stages like Final Destination with the a button and jump back with the remaining jumps and finalcutter

Even for brawl... Not even interesting videos can be made with brawl.
Wtf, bair setup #3, jump from ledge then bair? That was so slow and thoughtless even the lvl 4 cpus you play against could've avoided that..

I will be happy to accept your criticism if you can show me better kirby "comboes".
Otherwise... I know that there are few real "comboes" in brawl that can be used in tounament play, but I showed some key move strings that are useful to kirby players in most other environments.
And if it will make you rest easier tonight, I'll admit that bair setup #3 could be more aptly described as an "approach techique".
(As I'm sure you know, approaches don't have to be speedy.)
