I wouldn't call him a genius. He is a savant which means he did not do any effort to have the abilities that he has. A genius is someone who works out problems by learning and actually has the intellectual capacity to figure out real problems. I am not saying Daniel does not have this ability or that he is stupid. But he certainly does not use his ability to any real use other than to do speeches and write books to make money. If I had his abilities I would be an astrophysicist or something.

Example, i couldn't give a toss about quantum mechanics the the molecular inabilities in a given object. My interest is in Language and Arts.

If you hang out around a lot of people with autism (including the Asperger part of the spectrum), and even better if you yourself are Aspie or nearly so, you start to develop a kind of "radar". This guy does set off my radar to a pretty good degree. Of course I can't formally make the diagnosis but I'd put money on it because I'm right more often than not. Well, 1st, it's Asperger, NOT 'assbergers'... this by itself sheds some light on how much you know about the things you speak of. And 2nd, it's not epilepsies or the Asperger syndrome that's causing him to be a savant, but rather that these occur together in some individuals (there are MANY more epileptics and/or people with Apserger than there are savants)! Some savants have no apparent deficits at all (although majority do have developmental deficits)!
