@JakeBrakeable The city of St. Louis bought the subdivision to build a new runway for the airport. This part of the subdivision is directly under the flight path, so they're vacant due to noise regulations.

Aww was so shocked to see this i have original pics of this pool my grand father was one of the people responcible for geting the sudivision up and built ,and was big party the day it opened for first time have great beautiful pic of it ,how sad things become after yrs of time going by makes me very sad looking at what it was then verses you videio,I have original pic of opening day was beautiful will fguire out how to post

Carrollton Pool was awesome... I remember playing gutterball therer and working on the pool pumps. The dive tank was awesome. I have yet to find another pool where I could play gutterball :-\

Maybe lack of funds. Too damn hard to clean or no one knows how to clean or to maintain a swimming pool. Lack of interest in the pool. Just some theories that can lead to abandoned pools.
it's Carrolton Missouri... you see it says Carrolton Pool? Yeah, than if you go to her page, it says she's in St. Louis Missouri, Soooo, I googled Carrolton Missouri, and there it was :)
Carrollton, MO & this place aren't the same places. This Carrollton was a giant subdivision in Bridgeton, MO that was bought out by the airport, not a town of itself.

I was a lifeguard at this pool. Member of the swim team and taught swim lessons in the 70's. Sad to see it look this way.

It's a shame... sometimes it's because the city hasn't enough money to clean up the pool and to hire people.
