Oh, and I can confirm that OSX86 does not install on VirtualBox. I tried it the other day, and as soon as it gets to the gray screen with the black Apple logo, the virtual machine shuts off. And I had trouble installing OSX86 the other day on Vmware Server on Ubuntu Feisty.

And Ubuntu 7.10 is pretty good, too.

Pear is nasty. You can use parallels or VMware but the most efficient way is to get a hacked version and install OSX first, Then install XP/vist with bootcamp.

Make sure to leave a share partition open to keep things in Fat32, you do NOT want XP running on Fat32 and OSX does not recognize NTFS.

This is nothing but elegant proof that deep down inside. The modern Mac is nothing but an x86 powered PC in a pretty case. (Ok, maybe a different BIOS solution, called EFI).

The OS is basically Unix technology that was free. Apple added their pretty layer to it for all the computer retards out there, and sold it to them at a nice price. (Its amazing that a company can turn free solutions into commercial products, and still make the buyer feel good!)

If you were to buy, say, a Ford car, but rather than Ford making the engine, the engine was made by Honda... and Honda put the SAME engine in EVERY Ford vehicle... Ford may make the original engine, but there are plenty of independent companies that make spare parts for that engine. The only difference is, Macintosh (until recently) intentionally designed their OS to be incompatible with third-party hardware and software in an attempt to keep their customers buying only THEIR products.
