  • Same thing happened to me with my old Dunlop - I've been looking for a replacement with an optical circuit (no crackly pot) but for some reason they just don't seem to sound as good - the new Budda Bud Wah sounds great for the price - as does the Vox Big Bad Wah (some build quiality probs with this which is a pain according to Harmony Central) - what do you think of the Gig FX stuff - I havent heard one in the flesh so to speak - cheers S.P.

  • @slugpumper1 I have a Wilson Wah and I'm sure it'd withstand any abuse I give it. They're not optical but are definitely sturdy and sound great.

  • @jhamnett Cheers dude - I'll see if I can track one down S.P.

  • That's real crackly dude - it would do my head in.

  • @slugpumper1 Yeah, it eventually did me in too. Ended up trading it to a guy who replaced the wah pot and it ended up coming out really nice!

  • hey i noticed that you leave your drive pedal to the right of your wah. i may be incorrect but i think youre plugged into the output jack of your wah rather than the input. try settings it up so it goes (from left to right) guitar-wah-drive-amp. it may enhance your tone

  • No, the signal chain is OK. The BG-2 is an older pedal and has the input and output switched, much like an old Fuzz Face. I actually have the wah before the OD in the video, and I agree, it sounds nicer this way :-)
