  • i think enough have done with..snares rolls..time for something new

  • I feel you on the closing statement. I feel as tho if I did had the latest hardware and programs my sound will go to another level. I make good beats with what I have but I know I can push the envelope

  • Free beats right here !

  • check ma page out for some real cool beats.. hola

  • he be saying some true shit some of us fail to realise

  • Go get Native Instruments Komplete 7 its 90 gb worth of sounds and effects and you can create your own sounds with it. I got it in 3 weeks ago and its crazy

  • I agree with you in one respect, new sounds do inspire, absolutely and for straight ahead hip-hop, drums are the most important texture. But that approach can put you in a mode where every time you get "beat block" you wanna go buy (or make) some new sounds. But your beats still may not sound any different.

When I get blocked I'll listen to music outside my comfort zone or learn to play a song on piano or guitar or whatever, which feeds my creativity long term.

  • I also agree that keyboards (especially) and vsti's need to get with the program as far as creating new drum sounds. They suck. But the "more dope sounds" mentality is more of a short term fix. Being better musically stays with you, whether your kit is the latest and greatest or if its way dated.

That said, love what you're doing with the kits man! I've got some myself and have put your stuff onto some of my partners. Keep bussin homie. Much success to you.

  • @jonQuest82 Amen to that brother!

  • Damn he's right!

  • i have your kit but to find new vst sounds is hard lol
