So Wayne-- is there a rule of thumb for where to put the hook on the plane? I know it has to be forward of the CG, but how far forward? Is that a TLAR function?
@stevecraignet There are three of us that use this at the field. We think it is great. You made me look up TLAR. I thought it was some technical thing. :o
It is around 60% of the distance from the nose to the CG. I read this on one of the posts somewhere. It has been fine on Funjet Ultra, Twister DF jet, and Easy Star.
@waynemia07 Gee Wayne... I thought with your can-do proficiency you'd know what TLAR was. I'm going to make a catapult like this... getting off the ground is my least favorite part... seems like it takes the guesswork out of the launch.
And I thoroughly enjoyed watching you and Dancin' Sammy. He's a hoot.
