If you switch to another device to record the audio, then what was the idea to uninstall audio drivers for easycap? That makes no sense for me, as you can choose what device with you are recording your audio.
a) I think that just is not correct. Im pretty sure it will record audio even when computer has not even a single audio card installed, if easycap just is installed correctly as it uses own drivers to receive sound.
b) I thought drivers are located on hard drives as files, not just in registry. But yes, surely system becomes lighter when only needed things are being installed, that is right.
EasyCap OR Sleasy Crap? There is no fix for my crackling. I have tried bypassing the unit with a direct patch to the microphone. I have tried the driver updates. I will soon try an attenuating patchcord directly into the microphone jack that I have in my box from the 1970's.
so i uninstall easy cap reinstall without the audio they give me and plug in the audio cords to the computer? ok do i need a special cord to plug the audio in, so that then i can plug into the computer?
Someone please explain so I know I have got this right, instead of plugging audio into easycap, u just plug it straight into ur comp and record audio separatly, then add the audio in when ur editing???
What do u do about the fact that my system has a right and left audio will it not sound wierd with only half the audio???
@MrPKHeaven no. you just use a a different input for audio. one that's not built into easy cap. actually watch the video before asking. it's all explained.
Yeah this is the right idea.... except my laptop (and most) have a mic level input and not a line level input... levels max out, distorting when peaked.
Arrghhh... now have to get an attenuator to bring the line level down to mic level... Argghh I hate you EasyCap... you're not Easy at all :P
hey, it wont let me input source or choose my tv channel, it is gray and it wont let me click on it,plz help me and i will subscribe to you'r channel and reccomend you to all my friends :) ty
nice vid but i need help with something help whenever i record and then later watch the vid its seems to skipping round watch my video on my channel to see Wat i mean
I am having a problem with my easycap, when i choose to record audio, it records the gameplay but it also records my voice when i am talking in the room while recording, how can i fix this?
If anyone feels the need to make me a sick intro and send it to me via E-mail it would be great and you would also receive 100 Headshots or 4 Nukes on PS3 MW2.
i did this and connected it to the microphone input thing and turned the volume down on recrding control and everthing in the video, but it keeps making this distorted sound like as if u r on a weird tv channel or something,, what do i do???? plz tell meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
@remidydrive not your video bad but i diff guy was on crack so he was tell me to do some crap like in the xbox and pc and yea nvm i got it working its ok but knifes are still cool js
here lad, lol my thing is sayin i have no video input OR it wil just look unclear, and when i go to play the sound is mad loud and eh the video quality is abit niffy, I have the 64 bit and i dont no what the craic is lol can u help abit
i got my problem fixed, apparently the USB audio driver doesn't like me... i uninstalled it and it just magically re-installs itself lol... so i uninstalled it and ulead, and restarted pc uninstalled USB driver again (because it's a virus right it can just magically reinstall)... then i re-installed ulead and it worked, finally i have high def audio, Thank You for uploading this is the best way to fix that garbage sound on easycap
i like how i have everything connected properly with the correct cables, and options set up correctly and the sound still doesn't work... ulead is such a POS program... it's funny i go to windows sound recorder hit record and the sound works perfectly, go to ulead NOPE no sound... so i go to options yep capture audio is checked, so what the heck i enable preview source volume audio hit record and sure i can see that the sound works on preview... but still no sound?? yeah that fucking makes sense
Hi ! I am from Argentina, my name is Facundo, and I have problems with the audio/sound with my EasyCap. So, the problem is when I try to get the VHS in UleadVideo, the program can't get the audio, it captures the video but without sound and I don't know what I have to do, Where is the problem? If somebody can help me, please answer me, I'm becoming mad ! x)
@SquirlKiller i found out what driver we need if we have vista 64 bit or win 7 check out my vid, gtarbmx not trying to take your subscribers just leting everyone know why sound was not working :)
i bought my easycap and i can record and when i click record and it is live i can hear sound but when i play it back there is no sound atall :( pleasse help
@Soratar make sure your recording control is set to the appropriate input, and that that it's turned on. also the input that you are using must match the input in you capturing software.
I wanted to thank you for this video... I got the EasyCap today and got it working, but the sound quality was terrible... low quality, crackling, etc. I didn't even think about splitting the audio and plugging it into the line-in of my sound card. After downloading the newest RealTek HD driver, the line-out method worked great. Thank you very much.
Im recording gameplay from my Wii with the easycap and I don't get any sound from it. The only sound I've managed to get was sound from my computers built in mic, but not from the TV. Could anybody please help me?
NO, as long as you computer has a microphone or line-in input. In this video I'm just suggesting to use an alternative audio input source other than the one provided with easycap.
what doesn't detect the mic? your recording/capturing software? make sure you go into volume properties of windows or your sound card and check if the right microphone input is enabled then select that perticular input in your capture software. remember, only use this setup if you don't like the quality of the easy cap audio input.
My soundcard doesn't detect the mic had been plugged in. I have put the cable in the mic slot, and every other slot but windows doesn't show it. No noise is made either when plugged in to show that something has been plugged in. Besides, the audio cable seems too loose when plugged into the slot.
To prevent overmodulation, I had to dramatically lower my mic volume, but it works great. Thanks for the video.

@MikkoMuhis
a. the easycap drivers interfere with most audio card drivers.
b. why would you want useless drivers cluttering up your registry?

Thank you very much for this. Using the Easycap audio isn't very good. You get bad distortion from it. This way it works great.

Oh btw, uninstalling the easycap audi device is not necessary, just set the PC mic to be your default recording device and your golden.
So happy!!! Finally!!!
