@Eclipserocksyou its a 6" but its from when the black metal series first got big. I don't think its a "light" model but that's the only 6" stagg sells now if im not mistaken.
dude, would you mind making a video where you stack these two together? I'm looking to create a stack using those cymbals (except I'm using a 12" wuhan china) and I was wondering what they would sound like together.
@YorgySchmorgy64 Ive tried stacking the two but because the bell shape is different, they dont stack and just sound clangy and crappy. Right now im using an old brass hi hat bottom with a 10" splash inside and it works really well as a stacker/hip- hop snare.
You got a bad Agazarian splash, they're kind of a gamble. I've gone through quite a few of them and learned that some of them sound great and some sound like crap. But I'm switching my splashes to Wuhans :D
Yea when I am practicing for long periods of time and a lot of time at band practice, but sometimes you just have to really hear the depth of the drums and the cymbals to feel the music at its fullest.
I like the Wuhan cymbals but there not working for me. I play alot of bigger gigs for about 500 till 2000 people and i hit my drum hard and the Wuhan cymbals are bending out of shape BUT...................they do sound nice and if you play not to hard they hold there own!!!! I like them......
Are you talking about the new Wuhan crashes bending out of shape? Or the chinas? I beat the living hell out of my 8" crash and it sounds better than ever. Im easier on my 17" china because i know they are more prone to break, but nothing so far. Congrats on getting that kind of gig, youre a lucky fellow.
@guitardude1230 No im talking about the Cihina's. They sound so nice but they are just not working for me. I play alot indeed and if you look on my channal you can see some video's. i use mapex with sabian and paiste cymbals. Also i use the cheaper stagg cymbals but only the thick ones and the little bells. They hold fine.....i was surprised by that. Well.....lucky........just years of hard work and a bit of luck i guess. Wright your own stuff........that helps!!!
Yessir ive got plenty of original material. noquartermusic(dot) com and check out my latest video on here :-) I dig your set up man and you are very talented.
Indeed. I absolutely love how Wuhans record and play live. They have a "gongy" overtone but only if you hit it softly which prevents that super fast attack and nice white noise like decay. Im a pretty hard hitting drummer who has broken a handful of chinas and this one is even better than the day I got it. Maybe im lucky? Ha thanks for the comment you are absolutely right. Long live Wuhan.
Nice work Bro, Everything sounded good. I like a nice clean solo all around the beat. Drum solo's that stray off the beat sometimes can get a little self indulgent. It's like "OK dude enough we all realize your a great drummer, now can you get back to doing something with a beat " I think you all know what I mean. I appreciate the Personnal and company plug. Most importantly your happy with your Purchases and dealing with my company, That's the most important thing to me. Thank you. T.
