@WhatTheFeatherTV I know the Hard Drive is small. I think I read it's only like 2GB. But Ubuntu fits on 2GB. There still should be at least a couple gigs left for storing information.

And who would buy this crap? All it does it internet, and they even give you a crap-small hard drive. And for what? The same price as a Windows 7 netbook? You bet ya!

That's not internet, they just try to put it on the internet, but let's face it, Google Docs is MUCH worse than Microsoft Word, or heck, even OpenOffice.

anyone who uses windows 7. next time you press the power button just count how long it takes. i counted mine took 24 seconds from button press to loaded.

even if u had those connecttions mentioned, wouldnt it take time to retrieve those files or items,let say 5 mp3 songs. when u need to listen to thoese 5 songs,u have to retrieve it from the cloud which means take time;comparing to storing into ur computer which a click away and everything starts to work.

@FAKEBC then your SOL ^.^. Your point is a good one, tho. Netbooks (and chrome os, a netbook os) are designed for constant internet connectivity. imho, embracing netbook technology nearly requires one to invest in a wireless card (or a tethering phone) and a data plan from mobile phone carriers.

One last comment; if you are on a dial-up connection in 2010, you probably don't care about the internet enough to care about chrome os ^.^

Oh yeah, for light to moderate image editing you can find online equivalents but you'll be hard pressed to find an online replacement for Photoshop. It all really depends on how you plan on using the Chrome OS machine.
