The 3d rendering is bullshit compared to today's standards. It would have been topnotch in 1993 or so lol. These are just panoramic photo's on a low resolution with some low quality rendering. What do you know about programming anyway?

Phoenix RC

Reflex

AeroFly Pro Deluxe

They all look better and appear to be more versatile than clearview. But that's just my opinion.

Yea - graphics are much better than FMS, but a long way from the physics of the more expensive simulators. Clearview is WAY too easy to fly - like FMS.

The cheapest of the advanced simulators is Phoenix RC. It also is also much less demanding of your hardware for smooth frame rates than RealFlight, Reflex or AeroFly Pro Deluxe.

Clearview is a good beginners simulator. But the next step should be Phoenix or perhaps RealFlight if you have a super top-end PC.

I preffer Pheonix RC, Real Flight G5 is also good. If you are on a budget and can't afford either of those, Clearview is MUCH MUCH better than FMS and very inexpensive.

If you look on clearviews main page, you can also add over 100 additional planes and heli's which makes this sim the far better choice. Can also add new landscapes. Plenty of heli's and planes to choose from and I spent a total of $60 (fms tx $20 and clearview download $40) This is all you need. Forget the $200 + realfight.

they charge quite a bit of money for clear view, and it only has photofeilds (maybe 1 or 2 3D sceneries). you can get the full microsoft flight sim with huge sections of the world in 3D for 25 bucks. now i know they arent quite the same thing, but it isnt the best value for your money. if you look at modern videogames, their rendering engines are quite inexpensive(like q3, uneral3, flightgear, crystalspace etc), and makes me wonder what justifies the price of clearview.

@rcboatdriver1234 before youtube changed there used to be an option for certain videos to "turn down the lights" which was a little lightbulb button which made the entire page dark (so there isnt so much white) and then you can focus on the video easier and it was nice when you watch at night and you dont want to put it in fullscreen.

No one can just give you the code. When you register the product, the program also registers the computer it runs on. So, even if you own the program you cannot run it on 2 separate computers in your own home!!! Kind of blows, but smart on their part to make money I guess.
