Cuba got most of their BTR-60s and modified them one version with a heavily modified T-54 turret with the 100mm canon with the machinegun and everything. Another version was with the GROM gun of the BMP-1 instead of the 12,7mm machine. They also have a version with AA purposes with a twin ZU-23-2 23mm mounted on a BTR-60PB or a Twin 37mm AA guns.
The wheels of BTR-90 are known for their ability to withstand minor damage (like from stray bullets etc.), because they have an integrated inflation system, that enables APC driver to deflate or inflate the tires according to terrain needs and also keep up the pressure in a tire punctured by bullets and minor shrapnel. This feature is AFAIK unique to the BTR series of APCs.
as i already said, you are quite uninformed. schuetzenpanzer (spz) is an ifv, transportpanzer (tpz) is an apc. and no, a stryker armour can only stop 14.5mm heavy machine gun fire and that is it, pretty much the same as the 10 years older btr-90. btr-60 is an old beast, i personally shot holes in its side armour. but then again, m113 bradley is newer and its armour is even worse and tracks making it much slower.
you are quite uninformed, but that is normal for bavaria ;-)
neither bmp nor bmd are apcs, they are infantry fighting vehicles instead. apc is just a battle taxi, it is not supposed to fight, it is supposed to go over bad terrain as fast as possible, that is why they use wheels. btr wheels might burn, a btr might even loss two wheels without stopping. anyway, there are only two apcs in the whole world which might survive a shaped charge (rpg): israeli achzarit and russian btr-t.
The armored vehicle medium 8x8 Italian work with the Italian contigent in Afghanistan, its wheels is not easy abolishable, and the protection with reactive armors supports the RPG very well and it quickly does not have no loss from the talebani... The Italians control 1/6 dell' Perhaps Afghanistan, the Russians remember the western province of Herat... Italian we are there... the problem here were that the Russians like the Americans do not have average bonds.
when it has its hatches open it kind of looks like an angry micky mouse BUT I LOVE THIS APC MAN do you think thy would bring out a camper version. I WHANT ONE.he he he.
Backup! Prepare for immediate deployment!

"If you want to win in combat, use steel tracks. "
If your track gets damaged you are doomed. But i have seen pictures where BTR-80 is still driving after loosing three wheels.
Russians are making never better protected version called BTR-90.
