Yes, it's from Peter's friends. In there, Hugh Laurie played the piano and the guitar because he "worked" with his wife (an amazing Imelda Staunton) as jingle writers. It's a really good movie, with some of the best english actors (that are actually friends from Cambridge University) like Stephen Fry, Tony Slattery, Kenneth Branagh, Emma Thopmson...

I think he did -- they all sang together at the very end of the film, right after Peter dropped his bombshell. I'd have to double-check to make sure, but I'm fairly certain he was playing the guitar in that last scene.
