although she is very talented... her voice is kind of whiney.... it almost sounds like a cat being twirled around the air by the tail...still, she can sing, but i wish she would hit perfect notes, not just belt out the songs. black performers usually do that.

IMO - Fantasia was the best singer, I admire technicality and professionalism and Latoya has it in spades but Fantasia had something she didn't...life experience to draw her sound from also Fantasia's diversity astounds me even now.

I can say without a doubt Latoya is the BEST singer EVER on AI. I mean NEVER hit a bad note, great tone, POWERHOUSE, ect.... other than that its just pref. I REALLY wanted to see a Fantasia/Latoya finale though. I havent watched Idol since Latoya's season. Its a joke to me now lol

Wow U have a great opinion, cause I believe latoya should have won, she was the best technical singer that year, no one of the best technical singers in AI history. Though I liked Fantasia, I spoke the truth, the fact that if this is a singing compititon, and Latoya was technically the best

AI has not had many technically sound singers and the few, I believe 3 females, they havent won. Latoya, Melinda and Katherine McPhee(aint no way in hell she should have lost to Taylor, but I aint gone go there).

well, KP wasn't very likable to a good amount of people, regardless of her great voice. if you come across as a bit of a bore or stuck up, you lose votes. That's why KP lost to TH. He was more likable, and sadly, because his voice wasn't as good, he won.
