Its amazing that i bought this for less than 20 euro and i bought bf3 for way more ... but i would rather play this than any other fps out on consoles right now ... the genre has just turned into unrealistic COD clones on console at least ... its so sad.

Battlefield 1943 was a disappointment. Not only because it was for consoles only, but the overall butchering of the classes down to 3, replaced health with regen, 24 player limit which made the battles in each round feel like ghost towns.

BF1942 deserves a true sequel, this wasn't it though.

I know I would (especially since I never played BF 1942, but LOVED 1943)...and it's not just about the graphics, it's the physics as well... Frostbyte 2.0 engine takes destructive environment to whole new level.

@imthebause Eh, you can't really compare the 2 you know?....1942 was full priced game, 1943 is just small downloadable game, but it's the best that downloadable games have to offer...I never played 1942, but if DICE would ever fully upgrade it with Frostbyte 2 engine (or even the first Frostbyte engine), I would defianitely buy it....I dont usually like to play multiplayers that much, but 1943 is defianitely the funniest multiplayer I've ever played, if only it had gotten more content.

I think so the weapon balance is perfect.

And This is realistic game, for example, if you are playing with the scout, you can't go walking there and killing (well, if you are very very good, could be).

Or if you are playing with rifleman, you ususally have to hide againts tanks, because only the infantry have the bazooka.

Trivia. I looked up all three Islands on Google Earth. Guadalcanal in the game looks the least like it`s real counterpart, it`s nowhere near that baron and rocky. The other 2 Islands are a much more accurate scaled down versions of the real places

battlefield is better then COD because they have captured the epicness of battle using wide=open battlefield large aray of wepaons, vehicles and the best thing in bad company 2 is the scripted fighter jet airstrikes and other scripted events to capture the battlefield.

The Japs actually wanted to manufacture a weapon called the Type 6 which was basically a copy of the Garand. It was never largely used though because it was mostly made for the soldiers to use against us when we invaded mainland Japan. Luckily that never happened, and Japan surrendered before the weapon became a threat to us.

@simpsoncheat Yeah, but it's time most entertaining and most addictice multiplayer I've ever played....usually multiplayer games get quickly boring atleast for me, but even though Battlefield 1943 only had 3 main maps+that 1 "bonus" map, I still played it for much longer than CoD4 or Halo 3 for example.There are very few multiplayer games that I've liked but this is one of them.The best XBLA/PSN game there is,only bad thing was that this game never got more maps, so eventually you'll get bored.

It's simple, if you want a good first person shooter online where you can be Rambo and not work as a team at all then you play COD, if you want an absolutley awesome first person war simulation entirely and team based then you play Battlefield. Both series of games are good might i add, but COD is really for the single player experience.

Actually, I agree with you. It seems as long as it hurts an enemy, it dosn't hurt you. They should make it hurt you, raise the area of self inflicting dammage, and increase the reload time. Even though it is a noob gun, it can be useful, like taking out HMGs, jeeps, or weakening tanks for the Infantrymen.

Not really. They are pretty easy to destroy. 2 bazooka rounds to the back of a tank kills it and basically anything kills a plane. Plus, they aren't really easy to use. You have to actually control the planes unlike in COD where you just point and click. And the Tanks in COD are beastly cheese and can easily work you up a massive kill streak.

@werd225 Not at all, really. All you have to do is hide behind an embankment and then wait for the tank to roll by. Then you hit it in the very ass end of the tank and usually it will stop and look around, then you can shoot it. If not just lead your shot perfectly and take it out.
