  • wow, when god ascended into heaven

  • This is so cool. Love it.

  • :-)

  • Guitar player's line-up:

    Eric Clapton: electric lead guitar

George Harrison: acoustic rhythm guitar (heard in the beginning on this video)

    Paul McCartney: electric bass guitar

John Lennon: an electric guitar part during the chorus following the bass line (not heard here)

  • Bravo. Spectacular.

  • can you multitrack anything with equalizers or filters or is this already isolated from the source?

  • Is that a huge phaser?

  • @sirgerry Double tracked, like many of the beatles tunes

  • vibrato. its what separates the men from the boys. ungh

  • It's Impressionism.

  • Answer to the guitar argument, it was the red Les Paul standard that Eric used and gave to George as a present afterwards. The guitar is featured in the revolution clip.

  • @daijones101 Yes, the one George dubbed "Lucy".

  • awesome! completely awesome!

  • OOOOOWWWHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

  • Awesome.

  • This is not Eric isolated. That is a guarantee.

  • @dawei4321 Wanna bet?

  • @dawei4321....THIS IS a mix of John Lennons Electric Guitar-WIth ERICclaptons leads remember George play only acoustic guitat-ajnd Some say it was sounding great without bring Clapton in(((john lennon lead/electric-pauls great pianoand bass ringo cool drums great bk vox the band was hot for it--thats Lennons guitar from 0.19...and you can easyly tell when Eric dubbs on his stratocaster leads.. but all other electric guitar was - is and always will be john lennon-its lennon Eppiphone casino

  • @sunriseRISE What makes you think he used a Strat?

  • @sunriseRISE that is funny..Eric dubbs on his stratocaster...this is way before EC ever played strats.

  • @diluvnman Absolutely. You can hear it's a Les Paul sound too.

  • @sunriseRISE This track is a Les Paul, all on one track. If it were Lennon's, it would (a) have a different tone and (b) carry on at even one point when the lead lines come in. But it doesn't.

  • The more I hear of these dissected tracks the more respect I have for George Martin, Geoff Emerick, and Norman Smith. GM especially.

  • On second thought, it might not be a good thing to peek behind the green curtain. Amazing what the production yielded from such simple parts. The Beatles (don't forget George Martin as well) were truly the definition of synergy...

  • @beeroosterm Pretty much the same if you were to isolate any guitar track, even now.

  • The delay sound is created using Leslies? Sounds like a modern delay/chorus unit. I love having this isolated track. How many guitarists for decades have yearned for this? Thank you so very much (like having secret access to the masters)

  • @beeroosterm Apparently a Levell Transistor Oscillator TG 150 was used as well..."Chris Thomas was the one who wobbled the Levell TG150 oscillator to modulated the BTR-2 tape speed" - there must be a book that details this.....

  • @skaboosh Sounds like an awful lot of trouble to obtain a sound that you can easily have nowadays for cheap.

  • @skaboosh There is -- It's called "Recording The Beatles", but it's out of print, as far as I recall... and it's quite expensive if you can find a copy.

  • is god??

  • Just incredible.

  • for a brief (very brief) moment it seems that there are 2 leslies at once.

  • @mtsn Sound like the Leslie was briefly switched to High Speed.

  • Thank you.
