Hay guys I was playing this quest when the guy did not open that stone door for me with his fire so now I can not get in any ideas

@Herringred101 If you are playing on a console then you should open a previous save file before you and the priest reached the temple then once you reach the temple, talk to the priest and enter the temple before him, once you are inside he will appear behind you, I tried this like 3 times, it always works. If you don't have the save file before the starting of this quest or reaching the temple with the priest, then there are chances that he will be back at the inn.

I KNEW IT THAT THERE IS SOMETHING WRONGE, i have been in this place about to days trying to enter this damn door and yes, when i enter the temple i didn't see the preist with me, but he was far away from me when i look for him in the map, all this time i was think that there is a puzzle and i have to solve it, thank u man, now i think i know what i have 2 do.

If this is glitched for you, go into the temple before Erandur does and he'll be there with you.

this quest is glichted in my game, erandur entered the dungeon and i followed him inside.

as soon as i entered he had spawned to the end of the dungeon :s i can't continue past the first room as he has to open it :s i tried un-activating the quest and looking for him in the tavern but nothing happens and the quest marker is placed at the end of the dungeon with my objective being "follow erundar" i play on xbox so no console unfortunately.

any help? PLZ

Make sure you enter the temple before him. That seems to work.

People that have this problem on Xbox like me: Reload your game to a point before you've taken the quest, retake the quest. just to be sure, save before taking the quest and save another time before entering the temple. Reload till he is in there with you. Worked for me in 1 try.

@danmalin1 You may have to start the quest over again. A good rule in Bethseda game is to save often because they usually have annoying glitches.

Try looking up the book with "Help Dreamstride 0" in the console, then type "player.placeatme (whatever the code is) 1".

This should spawn the book at your feet.

I read somewhere online that said if your level 10 or higher you can't complete this quest.

If your on PC type the following in the console (open with the ~ key) : prid 0024280 moveto player

and you should be good to go
