so i really like this lens, and i want to get it but im worried about no IS, is it really noticable without it, like are the shot abit blurry due to shake? is it worth pay another $1000 for is?
I just wanted to say i love your videos and your super cute xD Also, Ive been really interested and getting into photography do you possibly have any tips? :]
@melissaaANDlaurenn :D well thanks! People tell me all the time how much they like it..but its best around June/July. I'll be sure to upload a video when it's longer :p haha
@corey75952 I do all I can to get business. I have a moderately successful sports and portrait photography business. I pay for ALL of this myself - through my photography.
@CrazyLini The XSi is certainly not a good option for indoor sports, however, I'm not going to simply recommend the 7D unless if you've got a decent lens to use on it. You should probably do it the way I did. I bought my 70-200mm and used it on my outdated 30D for several months, then I bought the 7D.
@PhotoTeen I agree with the person below - it's all about lenses. I think I even mention in this video that a heavy body is good to have with this lens - however, you can always counter-act the weight of the lens with a battery grip.
@CrazyLini it's all about lenses. invest in glass now and then buy a better camera later. in my opinion, the 7-200mm 2.8 is really front-heavy on the xsi.
@CrazyLini Canon 7D, Canon 30D w/ BG-E2n grip, EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM, EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM, EF 50mm f/1.8 MK II, EFS 18-55mm, 430ex flash - that's my main bag. I've got other flashes and lenses that stay in other bags. I'm planning to get the BG-E7 grip for the 7D, then a 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM lens.
@StevenRHaz I have a Canon 430ex as a primary. I use a Nikon SB800 and a Canon 540EZ for off camera wireless strobes with stands, umbrellas, triggers.
I'm thinking about purchasing this. Do you have any footage using this lens on your channel!

Whats your opinion on this:
I got a XSi either wanna buy a 70-200mm 2.8 (for indoor sports) or a Canon 7D (better iso) or a 24-105/24-70mm as a walk around lens ? thoughts?

this lens is legendary, use it well!
i have the f/4 IS version (much lighter and cheaper) and it is the sharpest zoom lens i have ever used (rivalled only by the nikon 24-70 2.8 G)
vehlajatt22 10 months ago
@vehlajatt22 It truly is a legend - introduced by Canon in 1995 and still in production today. The f/4 IS is amazing as well!
