We have a Vulcan here in Atwater, CA of all places. Its in the Castle Air Force Museum. No idea how we got a hold of it, but it's in that same paint scheme.
fantastic footage there my friend ! loved the good old vulcan too, cant wait to see it sometime this year, , thankyou for posting such a great video :)
Thanks for the memories. Remember years ago in Chicago when the Vulcan would fly at the air and water show. Was always a beautiful part of the show. Unfortunately, we lost one to a crash at Glenview while it was in for the show.
There was a mock airfield attack, with some pyrotechnics. I missed filming the big explosions at the end because I didn't want to get stuck in the queue getting out!
Excellent compilation - unfortunately Vulcan only managed fast taxi on Sunday owing to last minute electrical fault which prevented a flying display. Glad to see yours.
I am going to get on my bike and get up there today - I don't care if it rains. Seeing the Vulcan just bought tears to my eyes. Living in Lincoln all my life I remember the first Vulcans being introduced in their original 'flash' and RAF roundels livery. One of the most amazing sights (and sounds) ever was when I saw six Vulcans fly over our house one after the other at rooftop height! Thanks very much for the great video!
Fantastic Video, added to my favourites. That was a brilliant day, shame the rain let us down in the first few hours! Seeingt he Vulcan made it all worthwhile
wow just think if the vulcan had burners!!

Yes so I hear. I didn't like the look of the line up, which is one reason why I didn't bother. And 558 not flying was a shame.
Some of the Waddington line ups in the past have been brilliant, this year looked dull as dishwater.
TheFlange666 2 years ago
This years Waddinton was shocking.. tbh.
i was gutted.. I went to Sunderland International last saturday though the vulcan flied so i was pretty happy..
i just hope Waddington is a lot better next year.. p.s love the video :)

One of the few vulcan crashes that there was considering they were in service for 30 odd years. A very safe aeroplane overall!

i went on sunday and they didnt have the awacs with fighter escort either

Never seen anything like the Vulcan before. The plane is so beautiful that I would want to have sex with it.
What's the plume of black smoke at the tail end of the video?

AOA stands for angle of attack. It is the angle that the wing attacks the airflow at.

look at how much AOA the Typhoon fighter has at like 00:24 (or at least it does to me)
xXXF14YanksXXx 3 years ago
What does AOA mean?
radiothax 3 years ago
Well I suppose it's to be expected with the different speed ranges of the two aircraft.
The Eurofighter (i'll never call it a Typhoon!) is flying as slow as it can to keep behind the Spitfire.
AlexSlams 3 years ago
yeah I know I've seen a lot of planes do that
