  • I was there and it was Great seeing the vuland and the lancaster at the same time

  • 6.21 two awesome aircraft

  • 2:40 that jet was fucking huge

  • I think a V-12 piston engine beats the sound of a jet engine any day.But id love to see a EF-2000

  • We have a Vulcan here in Atwater, CA of all places. Its in the Castle Air Force Museum. No idea how we got a hold of it, but it's in that same paint scheme.

  • Airshow of 2009 - What a F******g shambles of a day!!!

    There's ALOT of unhappy people!!!

  • Yes so I hear. I didn't like the look of the line up, which is one reason why I didn't bother. And 558 not flying was a shame.

Some of the Waddington line ups in the past have been brilliant, this year looked dull as dishwater.

  • This years Waddinton was shocking.. tbh.

i was gutted.. I went to Sunderland International last saturday though the vulcan flied so i was pretty happy..

i just hope Waddington is a lot better next year.. p.s love the video :)

  • @TheFlange666 What happened..forgive me for being nosy.

  • i'll be there tomorrow :D

  • me to

  • Ahh sadly I won't be there this year...but I'll make Duxford in September. Rest assured I'll post up the highlights of that!

  • i can go tomro but not duxford (gutted)

  • lol i cant go this year .. im doing my RAF basic training nxt wednesday .. so bit busy getting ready for that :P

  • not going this year(the display line up is not worth it) but will be there on the monday

  • i can't wait 2 go this year :)

  • I can't make it this year, so I'm going to the big Duxford show in September instead. Hope you have a good Waddington anyway!

  • I went there. I was one of the cadets doing duties. Great day and I'm going again this year.

  • same here

  • 0:27 gripen or typhoon?

  • Typhoon. Nice formation flypast with a Spitfire.

  • Typhoon

  • Nice compilation, cheers for posting. An excellent short display of the vulcan along the runway..thx

  • I saw the vulcan up close then practising on the Thursday after, and its such a shame we dont get to see it more =[

  • What are you talkign about, its flying in airshows again, well bbc news said so

  • I meant around and about-other than at promotional shows.

  • hehehehe...you lucky lucky barstool...fantastic nice footage...

  • fantastic footage there my friend ! loved the good old vulcan too, cant wait to see it sometime this year, , thankyou for posting such a great video :)

  • Hope you get to see the Vulcan, maybe get down to Farnborough this weekend!

  • Best compilation I've seen to date, a little fine tuning maybe.. Wonderful Vulcan footage!thx

  • Thanks for the memories. Remember years ago in Chicago when the Vulcan would fly at the air and water show. Was always a beautiful part of the show. Unfortunately, we lost one to a crash at Glenview while it was in for the show.

  • One of the few vulcan crashes that there was considering they were in service for 30 odd years. A very safe aeroplane overall!

  • i went on sunday and they didnt have the awacs with fighter escort either

  • Never seen anything like the Vulcan before. The plane is so beautiful that I would want to have sex with it.

What's the plume of black smoke at the tail end of the video?

  • There was a mock airfield attack, with some pyrotechnics. I missed filming the big explosions at the end because I didn't want to get stuck in the queue getting out!

  • come on saturday at fairford, lets hope its sunny

  • Excellent video! The Vulcan is such an impressive bird. I can hardly imagine seeing it fly in person!

  • Was really dissapointed about the vulcan not taking off this sunday :(

hope i will see it sometime soon

  • AOA stands for angle of attack. It is the angle that the wing attacks the airflow at.

  • Excellent compilation - unfortunately Vulcan only managed fast taxi on Sunday owing to last minute electrical fault which prevented a flying display. Glad to see yours.

  • Sorry to hear about the Vulcan on Sunday, hopefully it'll be around for years to come so you'll get to see flying it sometime!

  • Broke my heart not seeing her fly sunday. But the fact she was even there and she rolled up the run way so we could she her was amazing.

    Hope to see her soon

  • I was there! in ma cadet uniform! :D

Hey you know when the appache dropped 3 bombs - i missed it cos i was in the portaloo havin a nose bleed!! Grr

  • It was a great day dispite the early bad weather. great video thanks. :)

  • look at how much AOA the Typhoon fighter has at like 00:24 (or at least it does to me)

  • What does AOA mean?

  • Well I suppose it's to be expected with the different speed ranges of the two aircraft.

The Eurofighter (i'll never call it a Typhoon!) is flying as slow as it can to keep behind the Spitfire.

  • yeah I know I've seen a lot of planes do that

  • that on the back wheels was awsome .i was there too

  • I am going to get on my bike and get up there today - I don't care if it rains. Seeing the Vulcan just bought tears to my eyes. Living in Lincoln all my life I remember the first Vulcans being introduced in their original 'flash' and RAF roundels livery. One of the most amazing sights (and sounds) ever was when I saw six Vulcans fly over our house one after the other at rooftop height! Thanks very much for the great video!

  • Hope you got to see the Vulcan :)

  • Sorry I didn't reply. I did not manage to see it that day but did see it fly out of Waddington on the Tuesday morning.

  • Great day, great video, great planes, bad cheap RC helicopters!

Mother nature, why such contempt for our airshows?

  • Fantastic Video, added to my favourites. That was a brilliant day, shame the rain let us down in the first few hours! Seeingt he Vulcan made it all worthwhile

  • Cheers! The Vulcan certainly made up for the rain and the gaps between displays. A memorable day.
