So I'm with the folks who haven't had any use for subsequent series attempting to catch lightning in a bottle. With this in mind, it's probably not surprising that I didn't watch a second of the 2008 series, airing when I was in my mid to late 30s. Others of the same generation likely feel the same, but I can only speak for myself

This show was not like the original.... there was no chemistry between mike and KITT, all it was was about how technological was KITT, Val Kilmer made KITT sound really boring, and it didnt have that family aspect... cuz in the original, the FLAG team were like a family, but they started to kill people off and the episodes were getting repetative.
You got that right, this remake is a disaster, there was absolutely no chemistry between those two, even the car is dreadful, Poor Bruce Davison wasted in this thing, davison who was so legendary in other things he trash his talent in this mess.
And don't take my word for it, David Hasselhoff has warned people not to watch this remake and thankfully william daniels did not see this mess.
I'll get into this a bit. The one aspect no one gave this show a chance is because KITT was not a Trans Am in this "continuation". Do any of you know how many Trans Ams were destroyed in the original? Too many because of the stunts and jumps. There were no Trans Ams when this series was thought of. The Camaro was still a thought in production. Now where they got the idea of the Mustang is beyond me. But I liked it. The Mustang was different and a new look to the show.

I really appreciate that they tried to revive and unique and wonderful show, but this just falls flat. The characters had little personality, partially due to the wooden acting. The car had little charm, seemed to be nothing more than a robot on wheels. It was just missing all of the special elements that made the original so great. And in my opinion, K.I.T.T. just isn't the same being anything other than a Trans Am. I would have went with a modified '77 TA.
This is exactly why I don't watch this. For one thing, it looks nothing like the original Knight Rider in the least, and they never had Michael kissing half-naked girls on screen either. And to be Michael Knight, he needs waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy more hair. And what happened to Turbo Boost?

@clayschiefs i bet this thing could smoke your trans am this mustang is worth 79.000 clocked for 160 and got 500 horse power yours got about 190 horse power and this mustangs 500 horses are factory nothing stock ...don't get me wrong i love the kitt trans am but this is 2010 not 1984 and the new mustang kitt would blow the doors off trans am kitt hands down

I really appreciate that they tried to revive and unique and wonderful show, but this just falls flat. The characters had little personality, partially due to the wooden acting. The car had little charm, seemed to be nothing more than a robot on wheels. It was just missing all of the special elements that made the original so great. And in my opinion, K.I.T.T. just isn't the same being anything other than a Trans Am. I would have went with a modified '77 TA.
