Dragon Blaze is superior, and I do believe it came out closer to 9/11. We'll never forget.

GB2, S1999 and DB are all pretty even, but GB2 was the only one to get a home port for years. It has a special place.

@xoxak I think Dragon Blaze is the weakest of these games, no chaining, ridiculously impossible to dodge bullets and only 4 characters to choose from, the other psy games have at least 5 or more to choose.

Dragon Blaze does have cool looking characters though, I'll give it that.

Dragon Blaze has great scoring because it's essentially point-blanking with style. Try to use the dragonshot a lot on later levels and you'll see what I mean.

And no chaining ain't bad. I don't like how I can lose tens of thousands of points in GB2 if I drop the chain at one point. DB is more lenient, which I liek.

I used to play GUNBIRD in the arcade in '95. It had the same kind of look and format as this. It was a very fun game. I wish it was easier to find 2D scrollers for home systems.

Yeah, but as far as NTSC US releases, Gunbird 2 was one of the first to leave this option in tact. Only The Raiden Project pre-dates it with having TATE still in tact for the North American market.

"Galactic Attack" might've had it, can't remember for sure. 'In tact' is too generous for Raiden Project, since they didn't actually intend for anyone to flip their TV (controls), which makes it entirely pointless.
