  • I been wanting to see that kiss since forever!!!!!!! haha XD

  • Länge leve det danska konungarike ! från Sverige.

  • Absolutely beautiful!

  • DREAMS can come true!! A beautiful fairytale of the real -and- royal world... when an unknown Belle in an aussie bar meets her danish Prince Charming and, years later, they become one lovely and HAPPY royal couple and parents!! Their being "two"gether was meant to be ... and the 'Fairy Godmother' looking over them were the OLYMPIC GAMES!! Best of luck from GREECE!!

  • @MsCobaltBlue beautifully said... :D

    Stort Lars H.U.G..

  • Thank you!

  • 'Dear John,' One of the few times in history that a man was happy to hear a sentence start that way!

  • @verticalsmurf i know!!! :D

  • I know she had to learn Danish but I wonder how much of the language she knew at that time (I'm sure she hadn't learnt that much as that point-she's probably way more fluent now)...I have to wonder how much she knew because she's sitting there looking like she doesn't understand a word he's saying but is desperately hoping no-one will notice!!!

  • I'm sorry, you are wrong, at that time Mary could speak very good danish, she is intelligent,

    Skaal!

  • I believe she worked and lived in Denmark for a year before they were married. So am I sure she picked up some of language. She also had a tutor after they were engaged to be married. She also had Fred to practice on!! I am sure she was at the very least able to understand some of what he was saying.

  • What a lovely wedding speech!!

  • it looks like the Prince And Me

  • i love his speech its so fairytale like.

  • To much speech for him to learn?

  • They don't belong to eachother, it's a freakin fairytale. Where did he get all those medals, did he earn those?

  • he's got more medals than a Navy Seal lol

  • People belong to themselves, ofcourse it's possible to be happy together. Though i still think their lives lay far of reality of the average people, so to me it's a fairytale period.

  • as a matter of fact he did; he used to be a part of the the royal danish special unit and was engaged in Bosnia on the same conditions as everyone else!

  • I don't think he was actually stationed in Bosnia. But he is one of the best trained and educated soliders and officers in Denmark.

  • He was stationed in Bosnia for 6 months

  • When was this?

  • I really like royals in Denmark, don't get me wrong. I am sorry to take this out of subject. I just get irritated whenever I hear anyone of us talks about the acheivment in Bosnia. Europeans did nothing. They just watched a genocide, if not even participated in making it happen without intention. With all due respect to his service if he did as well as eveyone tried to serve out of good intention, that service in Bosnian was worthless. Wish they didn't go, it would be the same massacre anyway.

  • Those aren't medals - they're orders (well, most of them).

BTW, Frederik is the danish equivalent to a navy seal and served on the Sirius Patrol, patrolling north-east greenland. So, yeah, he earned a few medals as well.

  • That speech was beautiful! It made me cry! Thanks for the translation.

  • I really like this royal couple!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Prince Frederik is very handsome and Mary is very beautiful.

    The Real Couple Wonderful.

Your children's are very NICE. But for me ALL children's are beautiful but this and the Prince Guilherme and Máxima are WONDERFUL!!

  • I hope this new book about their marriage is just all stories. They seem to be happy and still loving with each other.

  • 6:28 :) errhh.

  • Prince Frederik is very handsome and Mary is very pretty. I like the way Danish sounds, it's not as harsh sounding as German. Prince Frederik has a very precise and clear pronounciation of English that he actually sound better than most British speakers, certainly much nicer than Australian accent. In fact, I think he sounds rather similar to Americans in the New England area of the U.S.

Best of luck to them and their cute children

  • WONDERFUL COUPLE.

  • Lucky woman..

  • Pleasant voice. First time I hear Danish: rhythmical and musical, but slightly SLURRED if compared to its spelling. I read somewhere that Book Tongue in Norway is basically Danish pronounced the Norwegian way, but when I heard it, it sounded much clearer and I could detect many single phones, while I can hardly dstinguish single words in Frederik's Danish. May I take his pronunciation as a perfectly neutral one, or does he have regional inflections?

  • such a beautiful speach.. the first part was funny in love!

  • I've never heard of these people before but this is so romantic. His speech was so beautiful. I hope they're enjoying a happy marriage.

  • I wish I could learn other languages besides tagalog and english. Maybe spanish and Danish perhaps even though I am Asian.

  • The Australian Translation: "Cheers jono, thanks for your daughter, she's a beaut, she'll do, snaggers on the barbie, and beer in the fridge, cheers"

  • I love his voice in both languages. It is sweet, almost boyish, very pleasant. Like someone said below, somewhat like a good storyteller.

  • hes cute!lol

  • it's very weird to hear danish accent mixed with british accent.

  • his voice.. so beautiful.. he'd be a good storyteller.. i'd listen to it anytime.. :)

  • yes, beautiful, princely voice. i wonder if he went to england for his studies bcoz his accent sounds british and bcoz most royals around the world study in britain

  • his speech in english was very sweet and beautiful can you please translate the danish part. I wish I could understand it-as the sentiment of words lies in the original essence of the language itself-but if you could that would be nice:)

  • it is not dutch

    its danisc

    he is from denmark

  • Someone translate the Dutch part, please.

  • Excuse me? I do know who they are. I only wanted to know what he said, because I don't speak Danish. Why do you fault someone for being interested in your royal family?

  • sorry didn't meant to be that rude.. really..

but why did you write "translate the Dutch part" if you knew they where danish? you don't have to speak danish to know that people from Denmark speaks danish.. just like i know that people from America usually speaks english, and people from Spain speaks spanish...

again sorry, but a lot of americans are just so ignorant..

  • Thank you, apology accepted - I was very tired and typed the wrong thing! LOL

  • no, thank you.. by the way, if you still want a translation here its is:

  • Danish part 1, taken prom their official homepage)

    "Dear Mary,

In the year 2000 in Sydney, 5 Olympic rings were united for the 25th time. Australia at that time was an unknown and undiscovered continent for me -- symbolised aptly by the fifth and lowest Olympic ring. I found myself in an unknown country amongst happy, festive foreigners. My only luggage at that time was my high expectations of my visit, and a certain degree of confidence."

  • Almost 200 years earlier another Dane, called Jørgen Jürgensen, arrived under completely different circumstances, but with just as high hopes and just as much confidence. He left Sydney quite soon after and sailed to Tasmania -- your own country -- one of the states of Australia. Here he managed to create a reputation for himself which ultimately led to his death.

  • SHE IS SO BEAUTIFUL AS ANGEL

  • The wedding speech of your dreams. That is true love!

  • The same thing happened to me when I came back from living in Germany for 4 years. My mom says my English sounds different and I admit that I do pronounce my words differently, its not on purpose it just happens when you have you to emphasize more on what you are saying after living in a foreign country with an American accent. Plus I come from the US South.

  • when you live in another country that accent will be affected of it... that happened also to duccess Alexandra, she was married to Frederiks little brother...

  • For English speakers, have a look at the official website of the Danish Monarchy (remove the spaces in the address).

There is an official translation of this speech for you to appreciate.

With best wishes to you all,

    from Australia

  • what a sexy voice, he absoutely adored her, he loves her to death! Crown Princess Mary is a lucky woman!!

  • That was so sweet!

  • That was a lovely speak that he made to his wife, thanks for sharing.

  • Im from Denmark, and im angry to the WRONG SUBTITLES!!!

  • Then you should complain to DR1.

  • Think before you write.. don't you realize that it is too late now?

  • Well, perhaps you should have thought about your comment one year ago.

Because your complaint was already too late at that time. No need to make a stupid comment here.

  • ok..somebody translated that please..and how was Mary able to understand all that ..she had only moved to denmark not long before the wedding...Fred's english is good - better than her babbling bride in their tv interviews

  • ok..somebody transalated that please..and how was Mary able to understand all that ..she had only moved to denmark not long before the wedding...Fred's english is good - better than her babbling bride in their tv interviews

  • That's a bit harsh, maybe she has some kind of speech impedement. It is funny listening to her talk though i find comfort in the fact that i speak better english than the Crown Princess of Denmark.

  • there is something funny with the way she talks now. like it's a put-on accent or something. she talked normal before marrying the royal prince but all of the sudden after, her speech sounded retarded. Like she couldn't come up with an articulate thought. Why change herself? just be yourself mary..Aussie accent and all...no need to be timid or whatever it is that's more of the royal way of talking in Denmark...congrats on the new baby

  • actually i saw a interview with her father today, and he also talked about how her accent had changed. he said it was because she had learned danish and she had gotten use to the danish way of saying words and letters.

  • She understood Danish very well at that point.

As for the translation I really don't feel like translating everything he said but I can translate the cutest bit he said (starts at 6:09):

I love you, Mary. Come, let us go; come, let us see. Through a thousand of world waits weightless love. =)

  • It's usually not a good idea to refer to your father-in-law by his first name

  • it is, when you live in denmark.

  • wateva he said was bloody beautiful!
