Now the bodies are to bulky, the tires come to small, they have all the toots and whistles and yes... now you have to switch a mechanical knob to go into 4WD. That sounds more like an SUV with a cargo box. If I could find an 1980s full size pickup, I would be all over that. Unfortunately I want something brand new. Tundras make beeping sounds like a fucking accord.

Im afraid my Ram is going to have a module instead of a key, what happens when they go and I am stuck in a parking lot? Its things like that that discourage me. My Mom's Durango has a battery operated chip key and let me tell you when that goes all hell breaks loose. Really... if the bells and whistles last me 20 years or I can at least replace them I'm happy LOL.

I'm same as you, but I hate when people says that a truck is better than an other when its not the true. Ford has their best, Dodge has their best and GM to. for example, chevy trucks drink less gaz than dodge, witch drink less that ford. Dodge is faster than ford and chevy, and ford seems to tow more ( not sure at all because of life experience ) etc etc ... both of them have negative points too ! for my part, I would only buy a Dodge , I have my 09 SLT crew cab and I FUKING LOVE IT

I am a Ford guy but I have to say the new Dodge Ram looks better than the new F-150. I like the burnt orange or whatever it is color. The F-150 is still a better truck, though.

Oh, and by the way, to all of those arguing about dodge and toyota: Toyota lasts twice, if not, 3 times as long as a dodge and holds it value WAY better than dodge. This is coming from someone who owns both currently. But, in my opinion, they're both great.

Well its like this, what would you trust to take you hundreds of miles through a desert or a frozen tundra, a Toyota or a dodge/ford/chevy?
Which would you choose to transport yourself & loved ones in a flood or any sort of emergency & know it will never let you down.
A tough truck isnt the one with the biggest engine, its the one that just keeps going day in day out year after year & all it asks in return is a yearly oil/filter change.

Oh yes, 2001 Tacoma has over 400,000 miles on it and the only major thing I had to do was change the timing belt. Toyota makes a hell of a truck. I don't care about power or comfort. I want a truck that I can rely on for an extremely long time and Toyota delivers that to me.

it wasnt a threat ..i juat said that in general..but i will tell you something though..if fords are so bad then why is it there quality is higher then toyota..and smack dab on par with customer satisfaction ..sure ford had there trouble's ,,and so toyota ...and if fords are so bad then why do they year after year out sell anyone truck for truck?...ford has been building trucks for almost 100 years..i dont think they will take a back seat to toyota

The toyota's available in usa are built in usa & apparently they arent built to the same standard as the Jap cars.
Same with Mercedes Benz. Mercs built in Germany are usually better than the non-german mercs.
In my experience Jap built Toyotas/Nissans/Hondas are touble-free machines.
I have also owned 2 fords & both developed serious engine faults.
Ford trucks in the usa are the biggest seller because its what people are comfortable with regardless of how superior the foreign competition is.
