@andthereisntone LOL - I want to know, who is running the show now? Someone has to be milking that cult! Did they release any of those porno videos for download yet? Come on let's see it!!! LOLLL
Adi Da was indeed unique. I don't think any guru alive had the siddhi to turn people toward the divine. I forgot that Sai Baba existed when Adi Da was alive on this Earth. So nobody matched up with him. It seems he was doing a unique work, which was to awaken people to the divine through a kind of distraction- which, in true sadhana, became like a powerful magnet, as if one were sucked into the divine star at the center of phenomenal creation by a lightening rod!
It is possible to let go off your ego without a guru. I know. when you realize that you are not you, not a person, not a body then you will be God. When you have no identity your real "identity" will be there. This can be achieved by anyone. It is a wonderful place without any fear. The real guru is inside you. Good luck:)
the ego cannot go beyond itself. there is no such thing as 'an ego'. ego is an activity. whatever the practise is always to grant the guru ones feeling attention now, now and in all nows. It softens one, it allows the boy and the mind to relax and thus to simply be and function as it should.
He offered techniques to followers in order for them to have a relationship with him. One being, the 'avoiding relationship?' inquiry, another 'conscious exercise', and so on.
'Darshan' is a Hindu term. Frank Jones (Adi Da) borrowed heavily from Hinduism. His borrowing from Western occult traditions is less well known, but will come to light in due course.
The only relationship fat Frank offered his flunkies was dominance and submission. The only 'occult technique' was blind worship of his perversions couched in bullshit Advaita Vedanta sat-guru worship.
and then its like, and sorry to be negative here, but they push you and keep you back so their little selves get to be closest to Him ...you aint gonna get that close to Him, except invisibly in your heart...and go to Fiji if you happen to have extra money like a millionaire...
Hes a great being though...americans should wake up to this gorgeous energy available by gurus like this instead of their money goals they should have spiritual goals
yes they are nearly as bad as the people who critize the nerds around them ! I personal have respect for any nerd that takes on the relationship to a true master.. its hot and people love to give you a hard time.. but its worth it and my frind I have grown to love the nerds ! that includes myself of coarse.
Why not just love God? Or the guru of your choice? Or the neighbour's kid? Or your dog? Or the music of JS Bach? Jesus, there's so many things to take you out of yourselfobsessedself.
Having been in the prescence of masters,I know the surface means nothing about what they 'really' have to share. But we cannot deny that Adi Da has a tremendous amount of spiritual "wrapping". He takes it to a new level of absurdity with all the ritual and wealth. In that sense,he's got followers wrapped around his little finger (IMO).What masters share from within,is divine. What they are as 'people',is just as fallible as any other human. Adi Da is no exception. I loved the Knee of listening, btw.
I think you will find the Adi Da has taken every thing He has done to a new level ! He once said "i will offend everything that is seperate in you" My own confession is I have been mightily offended and those offences have also become liberating once let go of and i have been a cultic follower and angry and abusive, but beyond it all now I feel Him as overwhelming love litrally puring down into my body and that does not have a judgment, just incredible gratitude.
The only guru people need is their own wisdom discovered over time. Self-proclaimed gurus are narcissistic sociopaths.

All Beings are already Free - Adi Da showed that even with a relationship with a Maha Guru - will not dispel the ego activity
Even the ego activity of the devotees of Adi Da abstracting way from Now and placing Adi Da as separate from themselves
The ego is not Here - never has been

Satsand, can you tell us about the music for this video? About the origin of the lyrics, and who performed it? Many thanks.

the problem with all gurus are the nerds around him

Not sure Adi dah realize that this type of guru relationship doesn't work so much with western people.
Those videos are actually turning the people off.
Maybe because adi dah and his peoples are living in a bubble.

-He once said "i will offend everything that is separate in you"
Isn't it obvious for you that only separation will offend you?
It has noting to do with what he is saying
You are the one who is separated and you are doing it.
The only way to get rid of it is to surrender to the highest in your heart.
It is only you that can do that.
The core of your heart itself is the highest guru. Surrender to that.
That is the only real gratitude. You don't need to project that on him.
