Throw that in a saucepan on low heat for 45 minutes, skim the solids off when it melts and bubbles, then the remaining milk solids finally turn brown and sink, and you have awesome Ghee. (filter it through a coffee filter, into a SHATTER PROOF container) Stuff is really hot at that point, lol.
After you drain the buttermilk, you should put the butter back in the processor, add ice water and continue processing, then drain. Repeat this until the ice water runs nearly clear. This will ensure you've removed as much of the buttermilk as possible. The acids in the buttermilk will make the butter spoil faster, so by rinsing them out with ice water, you'll get a butter that will last a little longer.
That's it? It's that easy? Well, I think I'll be making my own butter next week, and using that buttermilk to make a homemade Ranch dressing. Nom nom nom. Goji, your skin looks great! You look very happy, and healthy. xo, Bunny

@burgundeejones Yes I think it would work! Maybe a cream or whip setting? I know people that normally make butter in a blender, so it should work out. Good luck!
Aw, this reminds me of being a girl in when we went to the farm & the teacher brought back fresh milk and all the kids sat on the floor in a circle taking turns shaking the jar until VOILA! Butter! It was a first alchemical experience that always felt so beautiful and wholesome...I haven't eaten any butter for many years though I do give my kids raw dairy when we can get it. However, if my breasts could look like yours, I think I would change my diet to include raw butter. Thanks for this!
bhaktajosh - I bet you could find an underground farm somewhere, or one that just sells shares to the animals, instead of just selling milk, but then because you own shares, you get milk!
Wow looks really good. I didn't know you could make butter so easily. Now if only I could find a dairy farm that will sell it to me. Dam WI State laws!
