some guy was talking bout the escalade and the denali.. id recomend gettin the tahoe in 4wheel drive that is if u live somewhere where it snows.. i live somewhere where it snows im better off with my suburban for the fact that u dont need allwheel drive all season.. the escalade is a nice vehicle so is the denali but ur better off with the tahoe os suburban.. theyre all the same like the suburban and tahoe just look at the differential,, theyre the same u get fucked over with escalade n denali

Actually, that was incorrect. The two mode system has two efficiency points - city and highway. The foreign cars mentioned are '1-mode', or one efficiency point. The towing capacity is also higher.

Most American cars suck. Foriegn cars are better. The Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Hummer H1/H2/H2 SUT/H3, Escalade, Navigator, Expedition, and Excursion don't deserve round wheeles. They should have square cement wheels, square break drums, no furnishings, and spring exposed seats. These cars don't deserve any electronics, windows, and furnishings.

the all electric phoenix suv makes 590 torque. so why not use that electric motor and use a small diesel used in refrigerated trailers hooked upto a generator and absolutely no drive assistance from it since the torque is more than enough. the tahoe could be a 35-45mpg model or even better if a plug in hybrid.

Speaking of which, why are we paying over $4/gall of oil when we secured all those oil fields in Iraq and somehow we're still relying on Saudi Arabia? It just sucks, everyone is paying $4 or more for gas and all the oil companies are going "ca ching" "ca ching", "ca ching" we need to step up to the goverment and these oil companies and stop blaming GM for the oil problems.

GM did develop a Hummer H2 to run on Hydrogen gas, but we won't ever see that in near future because the Feds rather spend money in Iraq than to develop alterantive fuels in america.

What we need to do is blame the goverment for the dimise of the SUV's, mainly because of their failure to produce alternative fuels. I can run my tahoe on e85, but where in America but in some parts of the mid west do you see an ethanol station? If Venezuela can be oil free and have all their cars run on e85, why can't we do the same(it's not like we don't have the resources), and don't forget.

You guys should give GM credit for trying. I bet if this was a Toyota Sequoia you all would be praising it. Many people don't realize that GM was the first out with a hybrid system for its buses and previous generation Silverado, just that GM didn't publicize it. It's sad to see how quickly Americans turned their back on the SUV and the V-8 engine.

I like the lower bumper but what's killing it for me is the One trim level, No Fog Lights, No Power Liftgate, No Power-folding Seats, No towing, only one choice for wheels (those 17-inch non-chrome). and all that for $50K-plus. I rather keep paying $3.29 @ gallon for my large SUVs.

If Al Gore can own that mansion with solar panels, energy efficient windows, and fluorescent lights, then someone, who probably won't tow 6000 pounds ever, can own a big car with on electric motor. It will be very interesting to see how the two modes, input-split and compound-split will, will work. At least it better than a conventional one.
