relax, broskie! drumming is about setting the tempo/bringing the music to life, you gotta relax!! you can tell you're really tense, especially in your wrists. keep them loose, and instead of thinking, (and i had a HUGE problem with this in my band), just play it. you're a drummer, you can do it withouth thinking, you just gotta find you're inner core. once you see that you can make fills and diffrent styles of playing without really thinking about it, music will be SSOOOOOOO much better. Kudos.

hey man, just a few suggestions. do what you will with them

-try to set the toms up so that they are all at about the same level/angle so it's a smooth transition moving across them

-get a metronome with a headphone input and plug in and just jam. you'll be amazed on how much just playing along with a steady tempo can help you move up to the next level
